Alongside the announcement of the PlayStation 5’s hardware design, Sony also announced a slew of accessories, including an uber-cute camera. Seemingly set to launch alongside the system later this year, the dual 1080p lenses will allow you to broadcast yourself alongside your “epic gameplay moments”.
It has a clasp shell which you can utilise to attach it to your television, and is much smaller than its PlayStation 4 counterpart. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section below.

I hope they update the PSVR 2 so it doesn’t require one of these.
Hhmmm, why release a camera... is it a predecessor to the incoming VR?

Looks great for a matching set. But If I can I will stick to my two PS4 camera's. I will get the new one if Its needed for VR.
Only 1080p? You’d think it would be 4K seeing as most people own 4K TVs/devices. I realise it would cost more but 1080p just seems like an outdated resolution.
But does the PS4 camera work? Would be nice since they said PSVR would work w/ PS5 but I don't know if they said the camera would.
Hopefully its more readily available at launch than the ps4 camera was. That thing was a nightmare to find for months!
@JohnKarnes that is my only reason for getting one, this should work with current psvr and it might be needed for the psvr 2 also

I don't see any difference between this PS5 camera, PS4 cam V1 and PS4 cam v2 if it will be used for the livestream (not VR). Don't understand why they didn't improve anything...
PS5 cam will be totally same as PS4 cam V2. What's the point? Let me use my Sony phone camera for livestreams instead of those so-so quality console cameras. Two lenses and no blurred background option for some reason...
Super stoked to see an update version of the PlayStation camera! The PS4 version was unprecedented for it's time as it allowed for quality streaming but most importantly it became essential for the brilliant PSVR headset. They way Sony has thoroughly updated the camera makes me hopeful for updated PSVR2 headsets! To think about the possibilities for a PSVR2 on PlayStation 5 has me extremely excited because devs would no longer be stuck with dated PS4 hardware they can make VR games that rivals what's being done with the exclusive (expensive) PC only Oculus VR headsets. Words can't describe how excited I am for PlayStation 5! Happy gaming my friends 😉✌️

@MaccaMUFC Idk if you are being facetious or just are uninformed the camera is for people to watch you play your games nothing more twitch doesn't accept the bitrate required for 4k streams most streams are done at 720p for reference
@AFCC it’s confirmed not vr since we saw Geoff playing it on livestream no headset
