@BLPs No worries there. Without sacrificing any personal contact information, what would be the best way to connect with you (e.g. website, PSN account, non-private email, social media, etc.)?

Will wait for a price drop. Too difficult to tell whether my patience will persevere through something like this, and I don't want to feel short changed if the experience doesn't satisfy. Witcher is a definite, and I'm still working my way through Dragon's Age with a second run-through likely. @rockman29 and @BLPs, completely off topic, but if there's room in anything you're developing for original music composition, let's chat.

Re: EA: Games Are Still Too Hard to Learn

Re-entering the game console experience was a bit intimidating. I started with the Atari, which had the one joystick and a button, and early arcade games had a similar mechanism. It was hard to imagine I would ever get accustomed to the much more complex controller on the PS2, but like anything else, the more you use something the more natural it becomes. Many games these days have the tutorials built in as you're playing, so you're learning the control mechanism without even realizing. It wasn't that long ago when I had the game booklet laid out in front of me to help me figure out how to jump, run, etc. Now, it's pretty much fed to you in real time. I don't agree with dumbing down systems to get everyone involved. That's what the Wii is for. And Facebook, for that matter. You don't need the gaming world to cater to you to enjoy a gaming experience. If you're looking for something more advanced, as with pretty much anything else, then expect to spend some time. Ya gotta 'wanna'.

Still on GTA5. If it wasn't for the golf and tennis mini-games, I'd probably have finished the main story by now. I'm always amazed at how gamers can switch between several games so seamlessly. My feeble brain needs to focus on one set of controls at a time. Otherwise, I press the wrong button at the wrong time in he wrong game and shoot myself in the foot or worse.

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I definitely enjoyed Beyond also, though the supernatural slant took it farther away from reality than the other mentions. If memory serves correctly, you weren't pleased at all with Murdered Soul Suspect, which I also found to be a nice change of pace despite all its obvious problems. I'm a big fan of all the QD releases, though the granddaddy of them all (for me) was Indigo Prophecy a.k.a. Fahrenheit. My feeling is that if a game is founded in reality, it allows for the developers to work on a real story that properly grabs you - which I really dig. Certainly, you can have this in surreal worlds also, but one hand you have Batman Begins and on the other something that relies more on action and special effects with little meat to it (thinking Transformers 3).

Hear, hear. This is why I can happily dive into a game like Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments, and to a lesser extent something like Heavy Rain (the latter forces you to suspend disbelief more than the former). While too much of this style would likely get boring, it's always nice and refreshing for me to kick back with a cocktail and relax with a good problem solving mystery story. It's also why I'm hoping the Vanishing of Ethan Carter won't disappoint because it has potential to fall into this sort of category. And Then There Were None attempted to do this on the Wii as well, but that one wasn't so hot.

Apologies for an 'episode newbie' question. How does this episodic content thing work? I'm guessing you pay as you go through PSN as each episode is released, but is there ever a chance to get a full (season?) of all the episodes the old school way - via disc without downloading online? Thanks for indulging me.
