Arthur Conan Doyle's famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes looks set to rest his deerstalker on the top of your PlayStation 4 once more, as a new game based upon the character is set to be shown at Paris Games Week later this month. According to JeuxActu, publisher Bigben Interactive will be transporting the game from Baker Street to the French capital, where it'll be on display in the organisation's booth.
Frogwares – the team behind the excellent Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments – signed a deal with Bigben Interactive back in May, and confirmed that Holmes would return in 2016. There are precious few other details on the sequel yet, but the studio has expressed a desire to build upon its predecessor's foundations with a much bigger budget. We really rather enjoy these titles, so we can't wait to learn more starting 28th October.

I so hope this is true, I really loved the previous one!! In landscape so many openworld PS4 games, it was such a breath of fresh air to step into Sherlock's shoes and have to really think.
Can't want to see what they can do while making a current-gen only game.
Never played Crime & Punishment's so I don't know what to expect. If Crime & Punishment's is worth picking up I may have to do so.
Whilst we're talking about Sherlock, I can't wait for the new season to start on BBC1
Sweet, I really need to play and finish Crime and Punishment. I played through the first case and enjoyed it, but then ended up getting distracted and adding to my backlog.
I loved the previous game too, it wasn't ground breaking though. I won't complain about any additional features.
@WARDIE It's really good. An adventure game where you gather clues and nail the criminal.
Great news. The last one was very good.
It was horrible to deal with the bad frame rates and jerkyness with crimes and punishment on the ps3. i only played half hour at a time so i wouldn't get sick. i hope these issues are fixed with the next game because i love sherlock holmes.
@get2sammyb like csi last gen??
@themcnoisy if youve ever watched the show with Cumberbatch, youll see its similarly designed.
You dont have the tools of a CSI but you do have Sherlocks mad clever brain!
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya I played last gens Sherlock Holmes too. It was the jack the ripper one.
Crimes and Punishments was one of the most surprising games of last year and also one of the best. So a sequel can build upon it and make a bigger and better game, sign me up.
When this game comes out I'll but the other one too so I have some context.
@Pamela Wow, that's a shame. Didn't have any experiences of that on the PS4, for what that's worth.
Got crimes and punishment free via ps+ but the frame rate and shocking screen tearing meant it was hard on the eyes to play. I did play the entire game. And even got the platinum trophy as despite the shocking performance on ps3 was an enjoyable game.. Hopefully they use a more ps4 friendly engine this time around... As even the ps4 version of crimes and punishment was iffy in places regards to performance.
