You may have picked up its books purely to see if they granted you a lovely skill increase, but a heck of a lot of effort must have been put into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's vast amount of in-game literature.
From stories of adventure to The Lusty Argonian Maid, Bethesda's open world role-playing game was full to the brim with lore and fantasy fiction. Fortunately, if you're a big fan of the title's writings, then you'll be happy to know that you can now add them to your book collection in the real world.
The official Skyrim Library - Volume 1: The Histories contains many of the game's novels. The hardback book is also fully illustrated, which makes it a pretty neat little collector's item. It's due out on the 19th May, but is this something you'd be interested in? Show us your Elder Scrolls knowledge in the comments section below.

Neat idea, I wonder if BioWare will see this and release something similar for DA: Inquisition.
Just remaster Skyrim and package the book with it. I'll buy...
@Splat yep please, I didn't get the chance to play it
By the nine this is great!
From Orsinium to Hammerfell, Daggerfall to Elsweyr!
All will wonder at this!
Seriously though, thats pretty decent.
I wonder how long it is
2 days after my best friends birthday!! Assuming that's an eu release date. He'll find this quite cool, but it's not for me I guess.
This looks awesome. I've taken the time to read a lot of the books I picked up in Elder Scrolls games and they really add to the immersion. I may look at picking this up.
@Splat Agreed. For all of its flaws, Skyrim is still a timeless masterpiece.
Like I'd waste my time with a real book instead of reading it in game! (jk but srsly tho, just actually play the game if you like it so much ) Would make a nice gift, it looks pretty and matches with the harcover legendary book.
Considering getting this. Most times I'll skim over text to get on with the game, and Skyrim was no exception. In this context, there aren't any other distractions.
