Re: Poll: It's Time to Have Your Say on No Man's Sky

@MadAussieBloke i totally agree.

I am intrigued by the lore , i thought was absent, instead we got this flavour of a decaying universe and lost civilization...

Even the inventory, it is true that can be annoying, but hey, we are space travellers, we need to survive first and then maybe gather resources. Apollo XI did not come back with a full Lunar mountain with it, right?

I am at early stage (3 system visited and around 12 planets). So great so far.... Just spotting planets trigger a desire to see how they will look from the surface. I enjoy finding fullfilling alien vocabulary and tge next goal i set for myself is to get a new, fancy, ship. So now I am all about identifying rare resources on planets, I am even keeping track on which resources on which planet!

Graphically is amazing in the way that the sum of mediocre elements makes such astonishing vistas, same goes for sound effects. It is a slow pace, total freedom zen experience so far....

When I was kid I used to read 60' 70' scifi novels from my father's collection (it was a line of book called Urania in italy). I am havingvthe same feelings now, like I keep landing on this colourful cover art they had. Is a kind of childish dream come true...

Re: Sticker on PS4 Copies of No Man's Sky Removes Reference to Online Play

Well, it is true (check on youtube) that Sean said multiple times that l, despite almost impossible, players could meet in the universe.

After release he chickened out and now he is very vague. Now this about labels on covers....

I think he was lying to fans, the feature was tgere but have been removed....

What about the 'searching for other players' on galactic map?

Anyway, that said, I do not really care about multiplayer personally. NMS is such a Zen, introspective relaxing experience that I am kind of happy to not be bothered by someone else at the moment.

Nobunaga was a great game. I still greatly enjoy it for relaxing evenings.

How elaborate is the grand scale strategy here? In NA you can manouver your armies in the great map in order to create bottlenecks and divert enemy forces from ur real objectives. How is here?

@BAMozzy well.... War is war and is atrocious no matter small or big, past or future....and killing a man in a videogames still depicts an homicide no matter if that really happened or not...

I believe the real insult we can do to the memory of who died is to forget them and not talking about whst happened anymore.... I have hope that among who will play BFI, some kids will start to dig into the history, reasons and condition men had to bear during that conflict.

Speaking of me, I red many books and watched hundreds of documentaries about WWI and II, and i can say that the videogame media can now depict some facts pretty well. I still remember the first moment of Stalingrad in COD 2. It was epic and even more frightening... Having to follow your comrade with just ammunition, waiting dor him to be killed to get his rifle while artillery was destroying everything aroumd us... It was accurate, and depict how horrible can be being in a conflict....

Sidenote: for anyone who wanna dig into WWI there is an extremely interesting youtube channel full of information and facts, The Great War channel. Just type it on youtube

@BAMozzy I disagree.... I generally tend to relate more with real historical scenarios. I am a history freak and I will love to "live" what, at the moment, are just second hand memories from my granny talking about her father fighting the Austrohungarian Empire in North East Italy front.

Re: And Here's Battleborn's PS4 Launch Trailer

arnoldlayne83

@get2sammyb Sammy I wasn t aware of your personal "story" with this game, and that's maybe why I find it not such a great joke. It looks you are just mocking this game out of nowhere, and this is not happening in such fashion for many other games...

Ps: Pushsquare is great as it is, and a more educated place to discuss about our common passion than, i.e., Nlife...

Re: PS4K Is Codenamed Neo, Has Upgraded Specs, Will Not Supplant Existing PS4 Systems

arnoldlayne83

Very disappointed.... why then buying consoles if they upgrade them mid-term?

Why also getting consoles at launch when you can wait a couple of years getting the new version and having then a bigger gaming choice?
This is also more pain to developers.... and generally looks like a potential backfire to Sony. What is important for lifespan sales, we have seen this gen, is the console's initial momentum... this is going all against that...

Re: Review: Dark Souls III (PS4)

I am finding it very fast paced, a little less than bloodborne, but it is good, since now you have many more way to attack, counter or roll...

Simple monsters are also faster and more dangerous than sotfs.
