Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is not set to be announced until next week, but it's leaking like a punctured pipe. That is, if the above advertisement is to be believed; there are people casting shade over its legitimacy, but we're not sure where the supposed leaker would have obtained access to high resolution key art. It looks pretty legit to us.
If we assume that it is, then, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will include the original game's entire campaign as well as ten multiplayer maps. That would mean that a handful from the PlayStation 3 version have been pulled, but we can live without Shipment. To be honest, we're a little surprised that the PS4 re-release will have multiplayer at all.
As rumoured previously, you'll be able to obtain the classic as part of the Legacy Edition of sequel Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Allegedly this is a Canadian ad, so don't go too crazy over the price. Whether this promotion is real or not, though, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is definitely coming to the PS4, as Activision more or less confirmed it in a tweet this week.

For a while I thought it would have the campaigns of all 3 Modern Warfare games rolled into one.
It's a bit weird that the remaster would have multiplayer, surely? All it does is take people away from the multiplayer of Infinite Warfare. Unless they don't care?
I would have loved a remake of Call of Duty 2... Dday or Stalingrad would look magnificent in 2016 graphics.... This MW instead leaves me with a Meh.... Another generic modern shooter with a generic conflict somewhere in middle east
It was obvious that this was ONLY CoD4! It never once referred to 'games. I am a little surprised its only putting in 10 of the maps though - it seems odd not to include them all - what about the DLC maps?? Creek was a favourite and Broadcast was an interesting map - both large though. Shipment was a 'fan' favourite according to many although I wasn't that impressed myself. Killhouse (DLC) was 'better' for a small map. What I find funny, talking of Maps, is that people whinge about 'big' maps but CoD4 was full of big maps and most were favourites - Bloc, Overgrown, Ambush, Strike, Bog etc - even Wet Work was fairly large - you could fit 3 'Rusts' into it for example. CoD4 had 20maps in total (inc DLC) so half are going to be missing (DLC??).
As I have said, I loved CoD4 at the time but compared to modern day CoD's, it certainly had 'issues' that wouldn't be acceptable today - things like 'Stopping Power', Grenades x 3, Claymore x 2 (great for campers), - no flak jacket. weapon balancing (the M16 was a beast!!). It was also the game that led to quick/no scoping with snipers able to equip a 'steady-aim' perk to help - this practice was made more prevalent in MW2 mostly by youtubers doing montage/trickshots and people wanting to do their own 'youtube' clips.
Stopping Power was 'virtually' the ONLY red perk to use. Its always working for you. The first set was whether you more explosives or ammo, and the last set was basically 'Steady Aim' or Dead Silence.
MW1 wasn't too bad, I'll get this in a sale as a digital download or whatever if it's sold separately
I am suprised they will have multi-player but its a happy suprise. The thing is you might end up splitting the amount of people playing the new COD which surely will not be a good thing. To be honest i would just prefer to play the MW than the newer games.
Errm only $110....
" this is a Canadian ad, so don't go too crazy over the price. "
Oh right, so only Canadians are paying through the nose? Fair play Sony.
@dryrain @ShogunRok Agreed. Infinity Ward is already on thin ice due to Ghost and by including multiplayer in a remaster included in your latest game makes it look like you have no confidence in your newest game. Plus I can see this fracturing the community. You will have some of the CoD community playing Black Ops 3 still, some playing IW and then some playing this MW remaster. I cant see how that will be good for each games community size.
@themcnoisy Pricing is always higher in Canada then the States, it's not Sony. Nintendo Amiibo are higher there and even Xbox games are higher there as well.
At least that's what I here from Canadian Youtubers like Johnny Millennium.
I always wanted COD:MW with Trophies and Rumble (which the PS3 version lacked) But if I can't buy it on it's own then I will pass really. Hopefully it will come out on it's own eventually.
@themcnoisy According to an American youtuber, the price when converted to US$'s works out at around $85 and $62 for the 'standard' version - which isin line with 'current' game prices. I expect we will be looking at £45 for the Standard and around £60-£70 for the Legacy version - which I guess wouldn't be too bad..... I wouldn't expect to pay more than £20 for a remastered CoD4 with ALL 20 maps (inc the 4 DLC Maps)
MW2 and MW3 maybe a bit more awkward to remaster if they include the co-op 'spec-ops missions' and the Survival Mode (MW3)
£20 for the HD remaster alone and I will preorder mine today!
This is amazing news. I don't have to buy the new COD space. As long as they fix the online code and expand some of those old levels by 100 yards
@KAPADO Yeah you do, you have to buy it to get the MW remaster as it's bundled with it.
@Tasuki Those jerks.
I bet if I wait, it will be sold separately.
@KAPADO Maybe, but I bet it will be awhile. Activision ain't stupid. They know that even if Infinite Warfare is bad, people will still buy it if MW Remastered is bundled with it.
