No Man's Sky may have been delayed – disappointing millions but helping with our post-E3 recovery immensely. The ambitious space-faring sim was originally scheduled for a 21st June release date, but all has been quiet in outer-space for some time now, and sources tell Kotaku that the title has been pushed back.
The publication was contacted by two independent sources about the delay, one being a GameStop employee. Apparently the store received marketing materials for the release this week, but was asked to cover up the launch date with a "Coming Soon" sticker as it's been moved. Sony's yet to comment on the change, but it's only a matter of time as far as we're concerned.
The new anticipated release window is July or August.

Well that's disappointing to hear I guess they have to work out some patches with that game too bad because a lot of us reserved that game, I wish they would inform us sooner about the delay.
My guess is it failed certification, otherwise we'd have heard the 'gone gold' announcement round about this time. Failed cert. would be 2-4 weeks' delay, roughly? Just guessing though, given the timing.
If it does happen I will be annoyed but I know its probably for the better
A bit of a shame if this turns out to be true, but if it means we get a better game, then that's cool with me.
July or early august are rumoured to be pencilled in as the release window.

The store says 24/06; I don't know if it used to say 21/06.

The only source is an anonymous Gamestop employee, and it's being reported by Kotaku.
I think I'll hold out on believing this rumour.
oh well, this game will suffer from too much hype imo and even if its good won't meet people's expectations.
I'm Gutted , It was bad enough thinking that the game was going to be out 4 weeks tomorrow in the UK, I also booked the day off work as well...sigh
Been expecting this one to be delayed, seemed inevitable, but 3 weeks before the release date and they haven't officually announced it yet? That aint right.

Bah, don't even care anymore, and I have to work so a single game that will keep me busy forever isn't something that I like it. (80 ~ 250 hours is the perfect time to me, but the Witcher, Persona, Fire Emblem and Pokemon games keep me hooked for more than this)
I remembered a guy I know who works at game said he heard it's been delayed till August.
Never been interested in this one to be honest but my thirteen year old nephew is hyped for this and has spent all his paper round money on the £70 pre order...he is NOT going to be happy..
The only game I was looking forward to. Only means for me in my opinion, it will probably be another big hyped let down game. I'm actually considering buying the ps3 again.

Its been delayed for an extra two months August, which doesn't surprise me seeing its been delayed a few times before.

@banacheck It's the first time it's been delayed, June 2016 was the date they ever announced.
Guess it's time to drop off the hype train.
Gutted if true, but I'd rather wait for the best game possible than struggle with glitches and imbalanced gameplay at launch. Take the time. Get it right.

Ahhh the game that was announced several years ago and took the consoles entire life-span to release.
I would be suprised if its been delayed as they would have known before now if they needed extra time to develop the game.

Strange.... It is a lil bit too close to release date to be delayed now. This is the time where day one patch is made....
I heard a rumour that most the planets that are auto created by the game, are actually copy and pasted. I don't know but this is actually how games engines work.
