Re: New Call of Duty: WWII Info Parachutes In

I stopped having fun with cod after Black Ops 2. Too much verticality and too fast ttk killed the fun for me.

I had much more fun with Titanfall 2 and Destiny as fast shooters and found myself home again with Battlefield 1, which is very tactical. So if WW2 is going towards that direction I appreciate, but I believe many people won't be so happy

Re: Talking Point: Is It Time for Sony to Take PS4 Pro Seriously?

arnoldlayne83

It will all be about the games. Sony had won the console war so far for this iteration and I seriously doubt Microsoft has many Aces in the sleeve at e3.

Scorpio situation looks very dire at the moment. The only thing that can save it is if it turns to be a sort of Steam machine, but I strongly doubt it will happen

Re: Final Fantasy XV Patch 1.05 Cruises onto PS4

arnoldlayne83

I did not like the game at all, apart graphics everything else was a letdown for me: boring fetch quests, absurd characters, nonsense story, empty world, chaotic combat system... Can't really understand why it was so praised.... Oh well, I am saving hdd space and trading it back once Horizon arrives

Re: Talking Point: Why Are Fall's Biggest Blockbusters Flopping?

arnoldlayne83

I would make a distinction regarding Titanfall 2. It is one of the most innovative shooter this year with a "customer-friendly" DLC free policy, it should have deserved better reception from the userbase, but EA marketing dpt. is probably run by monkeys.

For the rest of the bunch I believe is mainly a matter of fatigue. Too many recent games came out with big flaws and lack of QC, plus the No Man's Sky affair that bruised so many people....

The only big success has been Battlefield 1. DICE took care of the critics they receive after Star Wars Battlefront release and they also found a nice historical period to explore. Too many space shooters and too many open world sandbox whatsoever.....

@JaxonH you can play offline. You won t see other people and I think you can't compete for events global record.

I like the way you can create your own events and then challenge your friends. I also team up with some random and we had fun competing on best score at the same event. It can also be played as relax game, put some music and go downhill at sunset. The sense of total freedom is amazing. I am a skier and a mountaineer and it kind of catch the essence of being in the wild. I tought I could get bored fast, but I was totally hooked, trying to beat my own scores again and again....

I'll probably get it when it comes out

Re: Hands On: Quit Bitchin'! PS4 Pro Is a Big, Beautiful Step Forward

arnoldlayne83

Sammy, a question related more to Pushsquare than ps4 pro: how will be your reviewing policy now on? Will you review the games on ps4 pro only or on both? I believe is important to know if newer games will remain fully enjoyable on standard ps4. I fear will happen like on new 3ds, with some game barely playable on old 3ds, despite being available for both consoles, thanks.

Re: Review: Assetto Corsa (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

@Jake3103 i believe no one is saying you have been not honest in your review.

We are just saying that this review, as it was made, is extremely weak. You set a wrong standard at the beginning (comparing the game with others which are not in the same range), and you didn't use the tool necessary to really get what this game is aimed for.

To make an example, is like bashing Need For Speed because cars are "on rails" in respect of Project Cars, or reviewing PES playing with a keyboard, saying that the players are badly controlled and faints andbdribblings are impossible...

Re: Review: Assetto Corsa (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

@misterdog exactly. It completely miss that if you have a good wheel and you are looking fir a real simulator, Assetto is the only one you can get on Console, and is actually a great one

Re: Review: Assetto Corsa (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

Maybe is just the fact that what someone believe is a Sim, for other ones is just a Sim-cade.

Reading the review looks like this is just a bad sim-cade (like GT, Forza and Project Cars).

Problem is that Assetto Corsa is the only one Simulator (not Simulation) available on the Market.

The physics have been developed (and tested) with the real drivers who drove the cars (i.e. Nicola Larini helped with testing the Alfa 155, with which he raced in the 90s).

Re: Review: Assetto Corsa (PS4)

arnoldlayne83

Despite not being a pure sim fan (i don t have money and space to waste on a proper seat / wheel), I have to agree with the @Poweruser88 comment.

Assetto corsa is the most accurate simulation on the market, just look on the web.

A review from someone who is clearly not good/involved/experienced in such type of games is pretty pointless. I would also find a jet fighter too complicate and full of controls if I only pilot gliders....
