If they delayed it further once the future patches were included I might of eventually bought it. But don't see the point buying it on disc if it's in such a poor state.
I actually tried replaying it a few months back and then remembered it was based during a pandemic & could be quite a miserable setting. Which put me off as there was enough of that in real life as it is.
As others have said I think they are great additions. In the old games I kinda disliked it because you had to stop and read the page when you walked passed landmarks. Where as in these games you get the narrator to listen to as well as something visual to look at. (People building pots, weapons etc)
"We know you like bigger games so we are making the map twice the size of previous entries. And adding tons more filler. And as a bonus we are going to add time-savers and other microtransactions in case you get bored"
Don't see a big problem with it providing they, or any other big publisher for that matter continues to provide "quality paid for titles" Although... quality now that I think about it hasn't really been a thing at Ubisoft for years now.
As someone else said. GTA online is "Kinda" the modern day PS Home currently. With apartments you can customise and places you can go with others. Still it would be cool to see a new version. With less of the limitations from 2 generations ago.
As much as I would of liked a Days Gone 2. At least Sony is letting them try again with a new IP. Especially with the amount of sequels we have gotten from the big publishers in recent years. It has all got a little stale.
Wow, So even though they had issues in the last festival. They have messed up this one as well. Think I am going to give up with Ubisoft titles at this point. They always come out nowadays as grindy, buggy, and full of microtransactions.
Only played 1/3 of it and got bored. That and the voices in the game annoyed me. Some were very stereotypical /annoying, as well as bumping into characters with the exact same voice breaks any immersion for me.
@BloodNinja Epic might not be going anywhere. But if in a few years time Epic may decide Fall guys is no longer pulling in big numbers. They may very well choose to shut the studio down.
Like what happens with EA, they milk a franchise for all it's worth. And then close the studio down when they have got all they can out of it.
I have no issue with expansions etc of current games. Especially since some of these maps are so huge they have empty areas that could be used for additional story etc.
I think if they were going to develop the game for the older consoles from the start. Then they should of made the game based on the limitations of the old consoles and worked from there. If they wanted all the bells and whistles they should of made it next-gen exclusive.
Makes sense, they have 3 open-world games out within 6 months that are in some ways quite similar. Not to mention they all have Expansions/DLC's in the months ahead.
Problem with Watch Dogs is it will always be the same game but in another city. Since what else could you implement without it going way over the top. At least with Assassin's Creed & somewhat Far Cry. You can make each setting vastly different (e.g time period, weapons, climate/enviroment, Story etc)
Bit of a shame they didn't explore other parts of the UK like Wales & Scotland, or parts of South-west England. Still, seems good this time around with no mythical worlds etc like in Odyssey
That must be a lot of money spent on games, especially on bad or short ones.
Even if he paid £1 per game. You are looking at £2,687 minimum. (2687 platinums)
I can understand hiding PS3, Vita & PSP content etc, As over the years it has made it a pain to scroll through due to all the old add-ons and avatars cluttering everything up.
I wouldn't hide any of the PS4 content though, that's just way to soon.
They are most likely going to spend more on advertising the PS5 on Facebook this christmas. So the money they didn't give to Facebook these last 2 months will be spent then instead.

Re: Ubisoft Announces In-Game, Playable NFTs Called Digits
Easy solution. More people need to support AA developers & Indies that are usually not only more ethical, but also more creative.
Re: GTA Trilogy Physical Release Delayed on PS4
If they delayed it further once the future patches were included I might of eventually bought it. But don't see the point buying it on disc if it's in such a poor state.
Re: Fans Lament GTA Trilogy PS5, PS4 Secrecy
Don't buy it then until you know what you are getting. (reviews etc)
It's hardly like Rockstar needs the Pre-Order money anyway.
Re: Surprise Vampyr Patch Bites Back with Boosted PS5 Performance
I actually tried replaying it a few months back and then remembered it was based during a pandemic & could be quite a miserable setting. Which put me off as there was enough of that in real life as it is.
Re: Dying Light Receiving a PS5 Patch in the Future
Impressive how much content they have given for free over the past couple of years the game has been out.
Re: Sony Plotting Investment into Billion Dollar Chip Factory in Japan
Makes sense, the EU & USA seem to be trying to do the same atm.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Discovery Tour Arrives as a Free Update in October
As others have said I think they are great additions. In the old games I kinda disliked it because you had to stop and read the page when you walked passed landmarks.

Re: PS5's Lighter, Revised Hardware Model Has Already Gone on Sale
Don't know much about shipping. But I expect it will save Sony money shipping thousands of PS5's due to the decrease in weight of the container.
Re: Random: Skyrim's Famous Intro Was Once Ravaged by a Bee During Development
I am guessing now Bethesda has been bought we won't be getting a Skyrim Super Special Edition from Todd for PS5?
Re: First Impressions: Rustler on PS5, PS4 Is Old-School GTA in Medieval Times
Well there also was American Fugitive that was released a few years ago. That was similar to old style GTA.
Re: PS5 Games Are Still Selling Poorly at Retail in Japan
It would be cool to see a Vita successor. But would probably make more sense to use their Xperia phones to push out exclusive games.
Re: Far Cry 6 DLC Will Feature Previous Villains, Including Vaas
Wow, it's still a few months away yet. And already they are talking about extra dlc you can buy.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update Planned for Ubisoft's E3 Show
Rumoured third expansion? Maybe they could in the missing parts of England. Or even add in Wales & Scotland DLC
Re: Two Point Campus Leaks, from the Team Behind Two Point Hospital
Interesting. Was hoping they might do do a spiritual successor to Populous but this also looks good.
Re: Far Cry 6 Gameplay Reveal Coming This Friday
"We know you like bigger games so we are making the map twice the size of previous entries. And adding tons more filler.
And as a bonus we are going to add time-savers and other microtransactions in case you get bored"
Something like that I reckon.
Re: Ubisoft Strategy to Include More Free-to-Play Games Going Forward

Although... quality now that I think about it hasn't really been a thing at Ubisoft for years now.
Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Can Hit 4K, 60FPS on PS5, Up to 60FPS on PS4, PS4 Pro
Still on ps4 so performance for me.
Re: PlayStation Home Trademark Renewal Has Fans Dreaming
As someone else said. GTA online is "Kinda" the modern day PS Home currently. With apartments you can customise and places you can go with others.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus Expanding with 'PlayStation Plus Video Pass'
Makes sense since Sony has a movie division. Could be like Disney+ but with franchises based on Playstation or other Sony franchises.
Re: Days Gone Lead Designer Thanks Fans for Playing the Game No Matter How Much Money They Spent
As much as I would of liked a Days Gone 2. At least Sony is letting them try again with a new IP. Especially with the amount of sequels we have gotten from the big publishers in recent years. It has all got a little stale.
Re: PS5's Hourly Disc Spinning Sound Seems to Have Been Reduced
Sounds like Sony make the PS5 check to make sure a legit game is in the console once an hour.
Must be a combat piracy thing.
Re: Ghost of Tsushima Has Sold a Staggering 6.5 Million Copies
Surprised it wasn't more. Although I guess it is a new IP
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Forced to Disable Decorations and Seasonal Content Following Crash Reports
Wow, So even though they had issues in the last festival. They have messed up this one as well.
Think I am going to give up with Ubisoft titles at this point. They always come out nowadays as grindy, buggy, and full of microtransactions.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC Wrath of the Druids April Release Date Confirmed
Hopefully the DLC has quality over quantity. And doesn't have another 20 regions with hundreds of glowing icons scattered across the map.
Re: Soapbox: How Yakuza Proves Bigger Open Worlds Aren't Always Better
I like the way Yakuza does their maps. It's cool seeing how the city changes per game. With new buildings & businesses etc.
Re: Watch Dogs Legion Taps Title Update as London Is Connected on PS5, PS4
Only played 1/3 of it and got bored. That and the voices in the game annoyed me. Some were very stereotypical /annoying, as well as bumping into characters with the exact same voice breaks any immersion for me.
Re: PS Store Discontinues Movie, TV Rentals and Purchases in August
I am surprised they didn't try and do what Amazon do & mix Original programs with rentals.
Re: Fall Guys Developer Mediatonic Acquired By Epic Games

Like what happens with EA, they milk a franchise for all it's worth. And then close the studio down when they have got all they can out of it.
Re: Fall Guys Developer Mediatonic Acquired By Epic Games
Urghh, why do so many companies that make a successful product have to sell out to massive corporations.
Re: Codemasters Welcomed into the 'EA Family' as Acquisition Is Completed
RIP, they will be closed down in a few years once they have got as much money as they can out of them.
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla River Raid Update Out Tomorrow, Full Patch Notes Released
"replayable mode that will take you to unexplored regions of England"
Does that mean regions like the South-west might be added to raid?
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Will Have 'Stronger and Longer' Post-Launch Support than Odyssey
I have no issue with expansions etc of current games. Especially since some of these maps are so huge they have empty areas that could be used for additional story etc.
Re: GreedFall - Spiders on the Cusp of RPG Greatness
For a small developer with a small budget. (compared to AAA) I thought what they achieved was pretty good.
Re: EA Primed to Purchase Codemasters as Take-Two Withdraws Offer
Still amazes me how anyone would want to be bought by EA. Time and time again they eventually ruin the developer after a few years.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Grabs Christmas Number One, Cyberpunk 2077 Slips to Third
Ubisoft rubbing their hands at the thought of extra people buying those XP boosts.
Re: Poll: Is Cyberpunk 2077's Poor PS4 Performance Acceptable?
I think if they were going to develop the game for the older consoles from the start. Then they should of made the game based on the limitations of the old consoles and worked from there.
If they wanted all the bells and whistles they should of made it next-gen exclusive.
Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Software Disrupts the Chart as Assassin's Creed Valhalla Takes Number One
Looks like Valhalla done better than Legion then. It is nearly off the top 10
Re: PS5 Uses Much Less Power Than PS4 Pro
As someone who uses the PS4 for watching streaming services. A quieter more efficient console is always a good thing in my book.
I could always use a streaming stick but I like the idea of using my console as a all in one device for my media consumption.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Watch Dogs Legion Slips and Racing Games Fall Behind in Quiet Week for PS4
Oh no, GTA is back.
Re: Far Cry 6 Delayed Past April 2021
Makes sense, they have 3 open-world games out within 6 months that are in some ways quite similar.
Not to mention they all have Expansions/DLC's in the months ahead.
Re: Hands On: The Watch Dogs Legion Gimmick Can't Hide Tired Gameplay
Problem with Watch Dogs is it will always be the same game but in another city. Since what else could you implement without it going way over the top.
At least with Assassin's Creed & somewhat Far Cry. You can make each setting vastly different (e.g time period, weapons, climate/enviroment, Story etc)
Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets Two 'Massive' Expansions Post-Launch, as Well as Free Content Updates Through 2021
Bit of a shame they didn't explore other parts of the UK like Wales & Scotland, or parts of South-west England.
Still, seems good this time around with no mythical worlds etc like in Odyssey
Re: Watch Dogs: Legion Runs at 4K, 30FPS with Raytracing on PS5
Would prefer 1080p at 60fps
Re: PS5 UI Revealed in New State of Play Presentation
Only addition I do like is the Guide section. So I don't have to get the Laptop out in case I get stuck.
Re: World Record Trophy Hunter Hakoom Has Hit Level 999 Already
That must be a lot of money spent on games, especially on bad or short ones.

I wouldn't hide any of the PS4 content though, that's just way to soon.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Physical Crash 4 Sales Down 80% on N. Sane Trilogy
Bigger news is GTA has gone.
Re: Sony Confirms PS5 Games Will Cost More
And that is without season passes included.
Re: Reaction: PS5 Price Under Scrutiny After Disruptive Xbox Series S Reveal
Don't see the point in it, if you want a cheaper Xbox that plays current games. Buy the current generation of Xbox
Re: PlayStation Returns to Facebook, Instagram After Two Month Hiatus
They are most likely going to spend more on advertising the PS5 on Facebook this christmas.
