Ghost of Tsushima Sales

Rarely do new intellectual properties become sales sensations, but Sony has struck gold with Ghost of Tsushima. The PlayStation 4 exclusive, which launched in July 2020, has now surpassed 6.5 million copies — which is seriously impressive.

Almost as impressive is the fact that the open world adventure has been completed by more than half of the people who bought it (that's around 3.25 million players). Given that completion statistics for a non-linear game like Ghost of Tsushima are typically quite low, that's a real achievement.

It's also worth mentioning that a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima is almost certainly in development. And with sales numbers like this, why wouldn't it be?

The future's looking bright for Sucker Punch's newest property, then — and not just because it's getting a movie adaptation.
