PlayStation 5 is so close we can taste it, and it seems the UK is reserving its pennies for the next-gen arrival. The latest chart for physical games is largely dominated by Nintendo titles, but we get the feeling that the next couple of weeks will completely transform the top 40. As it stands, FIFA 21 is yet again number one, while last week's number two entry, Watch Dogs Legion, has slipped into fourth.
Meanwhile, two new racing games make their debut, although they're probably both lower than their respective publishers would like. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered enters the physical chart at number 35, while DIRT 5 crosses the line at number 38. The latter has been heavily marketed as a next-gen launch title, so we'd expect the majority of its sales to come through alongside the PS5 launch.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 7th November 2020
- FIFA 21
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Watch Dogs Legion
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars

- L.O.L Surprise! Remix: We Rule the World

What on earth is that game in the number 10 slot?

Piquing your interest, is it?
I wonder if Dirt 5 would have seen higher initial sales if they could have put in the effort to get cross gen saves working on PS5. Still, would have expected a higher placement given they give a free next grn upgrade, especially since the save issue isn’t a problem on series X.
@Turismo4GT $39.99!? I’ll buy two.
Oh no, GTA is back.
@Turismo4GT i clicked the link and immediately regret it. Didnt even get details on the game, the picture was enough
@YeoSprings did it ever truly leave?
I’m actually quite enjoying Watch Dogs Legion. The voice acting is the worst I’ve ever heard in any videogame I’ve ever played before but it all adds to the charm.
Not sure how accurate the map is but it’s interesting to see where all the landmarks are in relation to one another.
Good fun so far.
Right, who's still buying GTA? SURELY everyone has played this now. Even the queen I reckon.
As for watch dogs, it's not great but I do enjoy open world games and should have this platinum in time to trade it for call of duty.
Maybe Dirt 5 and NFS HP would have fared better if there were actually copies to buy in shops. With a 4 week lockdown on there are no game or entertainment shops to buy it and NO supermarkets had them. Had to download off PSN
@KingPev This 100%
I always look at game stands in Supermarkets and it's the same crap every time with the very odd adjustment. Such as a new Cod or Ass Creed. I am not surprised the charts are so skewed.
