@Boucho11 What remastered BF4 maps are you talking about? There are six remastered maps of BF3, BFBC 2 and BF 1942. They are already part of the main game when u switch the game mode to Conquest Exodus. Get your facts straight before complaining.
Ofcourse the addition of just one new map is pathetic after such a long time, but i'm happy that it turned out to be a banger.
The confirmation RE Village will be getting VR support made me play RE7 in VR again, to build up some personal hype in the wake of the awesome RE stuff that's inbound.. Until then i pretend that Village doesn't exist at all, lol.
Totally adored this game, i kept playing for three years straight or so, before loosing interest a bit eventually. Cool thing it's still gets some degree of support from the devs, i really should give it another go for oldtimes sake.. Maybe this weekend. Looking forward to the PSVR 2 project, that other game, Solaris couldn't grab my attention somehow unfortunately...π€·
I'm planning to finish Hitman 3 in VR finally, and made a start with Super Mario 3D World, Bowser's Fury on the Switch. Fun little experience, and like Mario Odyssey in full 3D!π
I'm glad i decided to get one out of a scalper's hands last year.. The opportunity came by, the scumbag lives only a few kilometers away from me and his asking price was reasonable, all things considered. I got a sealed box with the receit, disc version, and he let it go for β¬650. Not being aware of the continuation of stockshortages all the way into 2024, i am even more thrilled i managed to get one! Ready for PSVR 2 baby!!π
I think i have Hitman 2 for the PS2!! somewhere in my collection, but i recall finding it difficult and only completed a stage or 2-3. I got H3 a year ago because it has VR compatability, and redescovered the series completely! I purchased everything Hitman that is available in VR, H1, H2, H3 and some dlc. Made my way throughout H1 and H2, and the first two missions of H3 atm. The locations, the stealth, the variety in how to approach a target, combined with the most crispy clear, visually rich and throughout believable surroundings i have ever witnessed on a PSVR headset tethered to a PS5, is an amazing experience! Is this really the same device i got 4 1/2 years ago on base PS4, that left a good/capable, but also blurry first impression? Remarkable PSVR CAN actually acchieve this level of clarity! An addictive and captivating journey throughout, love the exploration element of the missions when first attempting to bits! The forced upon DS4 controls are the only letdown, but when played for hours straight i don't mind it too much anymore. What did the Moves do to be ignored completely? They get the job done for a lot of other VR Playstation games that have open environments and rely heavily on shooting, pickups, interacting with geometry and throwing projectiles towards npc's just as this game requires. Missed opportunity and kind of amaturish to just not even try..
Still, this is the best stealth based effort i tried on PSVR handsdown! A great descision to also release it for headsets, without i wouldn't have bothered playing H3 at all! Cheers!
Last time i actually bought a football game was on the PS2, lol. Even two of 'em, This is Football and Pro Evo 3. Now Fifa's free i think i might try it and marvel at how little progress these games have made in 20 years, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun..
It seems i enjoy Battlefield 2042 again after checking out the latest update, the game slowly crawls towards a better place. At least on PS5. According to the increasing playercount lately i'm not the only one, so BF this weekend and probably the inevitable session of Skyrim VR as always..
I have the first one on the PS2, but i never finished it. I remember that it was brutally hard, not sure if it's just that or my lack of skill with the analogsticks back then. I played through MP3 when it released and i loved every bit, so much even that i dug up a copy of MP2 after that for Xbox and completed it on my Xbox360. I recall that it was kinda short, but had a cool story. No problems with aiming this time, MP3 and tons of other shooters before that had improved my skills apparently. Looking forward to finally beat MP1 with todays visuals and mechanics, that game was seriously dark in tone and atmosphere..
I remember playing through Borderlands 1 and completed it, the artstyle felt fresh for a first person shooter/rpg set in an apocalyptic world back then. Borderlands 2 was fun too, it improved on many aspects of the first game and felt more 'alive' then part 1. I got the third one, BL The Pre-Sequel dirtcheap in a sale at the end of the PS3's lifecycle, but never got around it due to a call of local gamestore that my preordered PS4 had arrived. Never bothered to play BL 3 because it looked so similar to the others, and there were more appealing games available to waste my time on really.. This spinoff can't grab my attention too and the score reflects that perfectly. I got kind of tempted to try BL2 VR because i love PSVR and the Aim Controller, but i already played it flat so no deal. Maybe if PSVR 2 gets a VR overhaul of BL 3 i might not be able to resist it, but for now it i abandoned the series as a whole and i'm fine with that.
1.DualSense 2.Switch Pro Controller 3.Wavebird 4.DualShock4 5.Xbox360 controller 6.WiiU Pro Controller 7.Xbox S controller 8.Wii Controller(Not the Wiimote&Nunchuck) 9.SNES Pad 10.Megadrive Pad
Some Cruis'n Blast on the Switch for sure, a really addictive arcade racer, have to get those last goddamn keys hidden everywhere.. A bit of Battlefield 2042, killing that obnoxious Angel freak never gets old, and i probably will slay some more mythological creatures in Skyrim VR..
@thefourfoldroot I ditched Xbox One the last generation in favour of PSVR. It's a seperate platform with an equally (relatively) steep pricetag and it's own library. I used to buy every new console from the big three manufacturers, but if one had to go, it's Xbox. Grew up on Nintendo and Zelda is my favorite game series of all time, and also a Metroid or Mario is eventually a bigger deal to me than Halo or something like Gears. I own my PSVR for four years now and am still amazed by the tech and innovation it adds to the gameplay. I still play 'flat' ofcourse, but VR games are the priority nowadays. No brainer i will buy PSVR2, and maybe even a Xbox Series X/S years from now to play the Bethesda stuff. Maybe..
Rank 20 already and having a blast on PS5! Really, it's a great game i think, it needs some work still but which BF doesn't when it was just released? It will only get better!
Aaand.. Skyrim VR gets no love? It would benefit even more from a PS5 update, and for me and probably others as well i wouldn't have even played it at all without that VR part. I tried Oblivion back in the day and concluded i didn't like it, as i'm no big fan of fantasy rpg's most of the time. I gave Skyrim a try because there are almost no big rpg-style games for PSVR, and i must say i'm hooked for close to two years now! It suits me way better than Oblivion because of that northern medieval/viking setting and it's just a blast to traverse all those creepy caverns and dungeons bulking with atmosphere. I find it dissapointing the announced update doesn't seem to take the VR version into account, why exactly is beyond me.. It's hands down the best way to experience it in my book. Again, i couldn't have bothered with the pancake version. Ever. There are more like me, Bethesda. Make it happen!
@wildcat_kickz Game breaking bugs and glitched out quests are mostly ironed out by now i think. Still lots of glitches but not as frequent and small in size, easier to ignore and enjoy what does work fine. Good game, just not deserving the term greatness.
@Arisen I wasted 220 hrs on it, doing every quest and a LOT of exploring, climbing and trying to find accessible buildings and hidden area's. The atmosphere of Night City is brilliant and the city is so damn well designed i think. Shame it was relatively empty, it could have way more events, activities and mini games to keep you busy in between quests and after completion. Good thing we'll be getting more story dlc eventually, i will gladly dive back in!
@BleedingDreamer I play it on PS5 too nowadays, before that i was on PS4 Pro. Biggest noticeable difference is the higher resolution and the smooth 60fps.
BATTLEFIELD PS5 is already preordered, and interested in Kena and Far Cry 6. Lots of games in backlog too, so i try to focus on the stuff i already own..
@itsfoz I follow. This patch removed a fair amount of graphical fidelity in order to perform better on base PS4. As a result it suddenly looks beyond terrible on PS5 as well. Streets have no reflections anymore and distant buildings look horribly low poly. I spent 200 hours in it and accepted it's shortcomings, but this is annoying the crap out of me. I guess more downgraded stuff will follow, so i feel forced to shelf the game for now. Stupid CDPR, they could have added an option to choose between PS5/PS4...
As someone who never played Skyrim on a flat screen and gave it a try on PSVR, i can only say that i totally fell in love with it and am happily adventuring for almost a year now! I play a lot of other stuff too, but when i'm busy with it it still blows my mind at times. The atmosphere, especially inside caves and temples is just so claustrophobic and creepy, truly impressive with the headset on. I extensively played Oblivion back in the PS3 days, but somehow didn't connect with it and gave up halfway through. Never bothered to try Skyrim as a result of that, but man am i glad i finally gave it a try when the VR version came around! I play on a PS4 Pro and the image quality is clear enough for me, i just ignore all those gorgeous YT vids of mods for Skyrim PCVR, lol. It would be nice if Skyrim VR recieved some kind of update too for this anniversary thing, i enjoy the crap out of it but there is definitely room for improvement here and there. I'm a lefty and am using the Move controllers, but the configuration options are seriously broken. I want to wield a sword with my left hand, but the game only lets me do so if i navigate with right.. I use the right hand config so i can move with left, but am limited to one-handed weapons for it at the same time. I can't use a shield at all as it is designated to the same hand. No option to swap hands. My right hand is casting that firespell so i have at least something to use at a distance, since using a bow is right hand config. and feels terribly unnatural for me. Lunacy Bethesda doesn't let you assign buttons the way you prefer them. Even small indie vr devs usually put more thought in comforting lefty gamers as well.. Real bummer but i managed to work around it, limited to using the same type of weapons everytime. Lol. That said, as a physically disabled swordsman i struggle happily through the whole thing and am having a blast regardlessly! Thanks Bethesda for letting me experience Skyrim in VR, and at the same time screw you for not giving a damn to update the broken lefty controls.. (And selling your soul to Microsoft..βΉοΈπ) Whoever took the time to read all of this, you must be close to being just as bored as i am on this rainy sunday. Cheers to that! Now back to Whiterun to start a barfight and set fire to my dog.
@AchievingGamer I'm on PS4 Pro and it's very playable. The city itself, the verticality of the structures in it and the atmosphere surrounding it is truly something to behold, especially at nighttime. The game has me in it's grip for months now and i still haven't finished it. The missions, characters, and basically overall gameplay is fine, nothing really innovative but familiar if you like games such as Deus Ex, Far Cry and GTA. Still plenty glitches and bugs but not as annoyingly present as half a year ago. The crashes have dissapeared completely, at least on PS4 Pro. AI is still weak and texture pop in also present, but not on 'ruining the experience level' for me. It's a pretty deep experience with lots of things to track, try out and experiment with, a GTA feels simplistic and linear in comparison. The world itself lacks the attention to detail GTA has.
If you like Far Cry's gameplay, mixed with Deus Ex, GTA, a grain of Fallout and even Mirror's Edge, purchase is justified for sure. Base PS4 seems to struggle a lot more with rendering chunks of environment and keeping the framerate steady, so Ps4 Pro or PS5 are highly reccomended!
Don't believe the hype, nor the bashing, and you'll find a decent game in the middle.π
@mariomaster96 I was going to say the almost exact same, with Zelda in mind as example of a proven series that i DO buy blind on day-one... How do we know if we will like the first enstallment of a new franchise that looks and sounds pretty generic on paper?? Credibility has to be EARNED. I downed it from PS Plus and will give it a try.. A title i already chose to skip long ago. BE GLAD WE CAN CHOOSE TO GIVE IT A SECOND CHANCE, Mr GARVIN.. Most of us can afford only one, or maybe two new games a month. .Maybe we will like it even more than we expected and pick a possible sequel up for full price!!? This Ain't no Zelda, Metroid, Uncharted or Metal Gear Solid (yet) duh!
I do hope it's good, and am happily surprised i will be able to check it out finally. It didn't survive the selection from to-buy list to actual purchase back then. Open world, zombies, post apocalyptic setting, survival, rpg elements... bla bla..C'mon, every gaming enthousiast knows why it didn't make it, lolππ
