Re: State of Play Confirmed for 4th June, 40+ Minutes of PS5 Games

S1ayeR74

They better show some NEW single player story games exclusive to PS5 for once!.
Also timing has been noted, right before the Switch 2 launches.. with a selection of NEXT GEN ONLY GAMES SONY!!!! Including a brand new one from their biggest titles, at launch...

And of there is any Live Service crap in it.... grrrr...

Re: Borderlands 4 Boss Writes Grovelling Apology for Implying 'Real Fans' Will Pay $80 for PS5 Game

I hate the BS excuse that 'markets and economies' put prices up, no they don't, mankind does that! Man invented money and its concept and the greed it comes with. It is literally pure greed at the end of the day as those at the top like this guy NEVER seem to suffer do they.. It is just a pure BS excuse when they try to treat markets and economies as some kind of separate entity no one has control over.

Re: Talking Point: Does Sony Really Need Some Kind of Summer Showcase?

S1ayeR74

As they haven’t got any games to show then no, it would be utterly pointless and a waste of time to have a showcase. Thankfully third party’s are keeping it worthwhile owning a PS5. Then again I have little interest in any PS5 exclusive these days. Unless they are going to make another Uncharted or Motorstorm or Resistance that is.

Re: Beloved Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes $70, $80 Games Are a Steal

S1ayeR74

@Grumblevolcano That maybe but that was not my point, Sony charges £70 for its AAA first party games as does Microsoft in digital download format, Nintendo does not.
And it is only retailers like Amazon who reduce game prices, there is just a such chance of Nintendo’s games being discounted.

Re: Beloved Ex-PlayStation Boss Believes $70, $80 Games Are a Steal

S1ayeR74

Everyone went nuts when Nintendo announced it’s new Switch 2 game prices, yet Mario Kart World, a game at it’s maximum new price, is still £67 on digital in the UK, and just how may £70 games are there again in Sony’s PSN store…………… Yeah seems Sony and Microsoft have got a strange idea of value IMO.

Re: PS5's Share of Active US Players Is Slowly Beginning to Pummel Xbox

S1ayeR74

@Juanalf Many believe Sony will soon be raising prices up by between 100 to 200 dollars per console soon, and accessories and games also.
Nintendo has today or yesterday stated the Switch 2 price may rise if the tariffs change any further.

And we can’t rule out Trump putting tariffs on games either yet.. he is threatening to slap a 100% tariff on film production!

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 2 - More Birdie Than Hole in One

S1ayeR74

@MrMeeeseeeks Like me… whenever I see a film or programme, and almost every other word is the F word, to me it SCREAMS bad poorly written lazy writing / script, made by people incapable of coming up with an intelligent clever storyline. They try to mask it by making the character seem arrogant and mean by swearing all the time..
It is a MAJOR turnoff for me and sometimes I just switch it off and don’t bother watching it, if I want to watch immature content I’ll watch South Park, American Dad, Family Guy and have a much better time doing so…

Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Season 2 Episode 2 - More Birdie Than Hole in One

S1ayeR74

This show will just fail now, the actress playing Elly is God awful and uninteresting as is the writing, every other word she says seems to be the F word. Not like the game character. But they had an opportunity to do something different, and they couldn’t be bothered, so I also guess after this season it’s over like the game? Not that I care.
I watched the first season, watched half the first episode of the second and got bored.

I am looking forward to Alien Earth though. Fingers crossed they don’t screw that up…..

Re: Rumour: New PlayStation Portable Capable of Playing PS5 Games at Lower Resolutions

S1ayeR74

@Juanalf No, I would NOT be interested in a system that is only capable of playing old games, that is the same as the Portal then, restricted, in fact the Portal is better a the streams new games. It will just be a more expensive PS accessory as opposed to it being its own system. The PSP was the only time Sony got it right, the Vita wasn’t because they turned it into an accessory again.

Re: Rumour: New PlayStation Portable Capable of Playing PS5 Games at Lower Resolutions

S1ayeR74

Sony just need to forget about portable games systems, full stop. The Portal is cool, but a system limited to PS5 only games? Utterly pointless as that reads as it won’t get an games for it specifically, it’ll just run what ever games come out on PS5, and no doubt to keep it fed Sony will ensure that PS6 games are released on PS5 too for several years..

They will try to release a handheld on the cheap by crippling the next gen console, and I bet neither the PS6 nor this portable will be cheap. I think PS6 will easily be 550 looking at the price increases and PS5 Pro pricing.

I’d MUCH rather stick to Switch 2 thanks and a PC handheld or tablet.

Re: PS5 Price Increases Announced by Sony, Immediately Affects UK, Europe, and More

S1ayeR74

@nomither6 Well the Switch is sold as a home console, hence it coming with a dock, plus it is far better and more powerful then a Steam Deck in handheld let alone docked mode. Not sure how it’s worst? Unless you are going to refer to Steam Store games, well yes but then you would have to argue Steam Deck is better then a PS5 on the same basis because most people use their Steam Decks at home due to it’s size, plus it is struggling more and more to run games sold on the Steam store, Switch 2 like PS5 is guaranteed to run any game on it’s platform.

Re: PS5 Price Increases Announced by Sony, Immediately Affects UK, Europe, and More

S1ayeR74

@Porco I could not agree anymore with you, I look froward to the PS6 and the no doubt 500 to 600 price of it, more expensive in all markets bar the US where it is cheaper, and it launching with a real weak lineup, no big name exclusives but I bet it’ll have a couple of ‘Live Service’ games…
Meanwhile Nintendo has launched a new console, caught up massively on power, and it’s launching with the sequel to one of the biggest games in the companies history! With many improved big games and a plethora of new games coming through the rest of the year. Oh and Nintendo also has ensured these games are NEXT GEN ONLY from day one.

Re: Bungie's New PS5 Shooter Marathon Grabs September Release Date

S1ayeR74

@Hi569 Er , this entire article is about one???....

This is a good article about them:

http://thegamepost.com/all-sony-playstation-live-service-games-full-list/

And here https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2025/01/lists-of-sonyrs-cancelled-live-service-ps5-games-paint-a-worrying-picture

And here https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2025/02/rumour-one-of-sonys-last-ps5-live-service-games-fairgames-out-in-2026

And remember every time a live service game is made it's taking resources from other projects even if they end up being cancelled.

Re: Bungie's New PS5 Shooter Marathon Grabs September Release Date

S1ayeR74

@Hi569 You mean you can’t wait for the millions of people who bought into Sony and made them successful and who they are today because of the ‘exclusive single player’ games they made, just shut up about all the endless live service online multiplayer player crap they now produce and move on…

Re: Bungie's New PS5 Shooter Marathon Grabs September Release Date

S1ayeR74

Looks crap, looks like it played like crap, yet more live service crap. What a crap generation this is for consoles:

Nintendo: here’s £76 games for you..

Microsoft: We are going to put all our games onto other platforms, no point buying our console.

Sony: Here is a live service game, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another and another, and another… oh single player games? Yeah we don’t really want to do those anymore.

It’s no wonder PC gaming is becoming more and more popular.

Re: Feature: PS5's Not Perfect, But Here Are 5 Ways It's More Consumer Friendly Than Switch 2

S1ayeR74

@Oram77 Sony is as bad as Nintendo IMO, pricing may be different in some areas, but not in others. However Sony force you to accept to lose your rights to a refund as soon as you download a digital game, and Nintendo don’t give one either.
Yet both Microsoft and Valve have NO problem with it, they just have a set criteria like limited play time before you ask for one, and a time limit you can ask for a refund in like 2 weeks from purchase.
I am sure it isn’t a coincidence two are American companies and the other two Japanese ones.

Re: Feature: PS5's Not Perfect, But Here Are 5 Ways It's More Consumer Friendly Than Switch 2

S1ayeR74

@Randinator123 I'll get one but not till end of the year. It seems like a really solid console so far. A very good upgrade over the original Switch idea. Just have to stick to Amazon discounts or second hand games. IMO it's a lot better then the PC handhelds, I've got a Steam Deck OLED and it's pretty underpowered for modern games now, Switch 2 will replace it I hope, maybe I'll get a Steam Deck 2 if they make one but it needs to be MUCH more powerful. Then again it may be best to just get PS6 when it's out.
