RoadCraft is the next game from the makers of SnowRunner, and its latest trailer may well hit you in the feels — good going for a game about laying down tarmac.

Embedded above, the cinematic trailer is mostly CG before showing some snippets of in-game footage, but it brings a level of nostalgia that caught us off-guard.

Essentially, the trailer focuses on children playing outside with their toy trucks and diggers, scooping up dirt and pretending they're on a construction site. The main kid notices an actual site nearby, and he imagines his actions manipulating the real machinery, with more children joining in at the end.

It's a rather sweet trailer for what is otherwise quite a straight-faced game about rebuilding infrastructure.

RoadCraft is a solo/co-op game in which you operate various vehicles and machines, building road networks, bridges, and so on in the aftermath of a disaster.

It's set to release on PS5 later this month, on 20th May 2025.
