Re: PS6 Could Be Less Than Half the Price of Microsoft's 'Very Premium' Next-Gen Xbox

S1ayeR74

Basically Microsoft are setting it up for them to sell you (or try to) a locks down PC, at a very premium price. I bet it's 1 grand or more. Meanwhile rumours are Sony are working on cheaper and more efficient console for next gen. But I bet it won't be less than PS5. So maybe we end up with a 550 PS6 and a 1000 Xbox Next. Microsoft have really lost the plot IMO.

Re: PS6 Manufacturing Scheduled to Get Underway in Early 2027

S1ayeR74

Great top see a new gen, about time! It is the usual 7 year gap too, can't believe idiots claiming it won't be coming in 2027.. yeah sure not like every single other console generation has been 7 years long... it will also be a SIGNIFICANT upgrade this time due to AMD's work, looking forward to the big Ai push too. But PS6 WILL be weaker then the next Xbox however nay say it WILL also be cheaper. Next Xbox will literally be a Windows PC.

Re: 'Told You So': Ex-FTC Chair Lina Khan Is Having the Last Laugh Over Xbox's Activision Acquisition

S1ayeR74

Oh is that Lina Khan, the women EVERYONE (gamers and Microsoft) ridiculed, behaved disgustingly towards her, bullied her, said she had NO idea what she was doing, and had her cancelled…

Yeah hope you all feel bad now cause she was 100% RIGHT! I was upset at the time of the acquisition that it made me sell my Xbox and move back to PlayStation. Because I also knew it would only lead to where Xbox and gaming is today. You wait till ads start to become prevalent in games and Sony will follow that too if they can make money from it.

Re: Talking Point: Are You Getting Sick of Sony's Supposedly 'Samey' Approach to Story Telling?

S1ayeR74

Well I get tired of is the fact ALL Sony games practically are over the shoulder third person action adventure games. I remember when they also made first person shooter action games like Resistance etc..

Thankfully Sony does get a lot of third poster support so I can ignore most of its games anyway bar the ones I want, I do like Uncharted.

As for the story themselves? Meh they are alright, district writers but let’s ALL be honest, it is not like films are original is it…….

Re: PS Plus Looks Better Than Ever After New Xbox Game Pass Price Rises

S1ayeR74

@LordVile The leaks and rumours are that the next gen Xbox will be significantly more powerful then the PS6 BUT also significantly MORE expensive, apparently it will literally just be a Windows PC so you can install Steam etc.. Meanwhile Valve will be launching it’s own home console soon based on Steam OS and the Steam store, and will most likely cost a LOT less then Microsoft’s new box, MS have literally lost the plot!

Re: Nerfed PS5 Console Silently Releases with Less Storage Space

S1ayeR74

@Northern_munkey hahaha so according to the laws of 'Northern_munkey' you are only allowed to comment on articles under a certain criteria, like you can only comment if you own a certain PS5?
Do you enjoy restricting freedom of speech so much? Over a plastic box? Seriously go out and touch grass. Stop shilling for a corporation that does not know you exist. Because you ARE shilling for a corporation over its plastic box, by calling people hypocrites for calling you out because of the 'model of PS5' they own...
You keep on giving Sony a free pass and try to block any criticism of your favourite corporation. Whilst they continue to portray anti consumer practices.

Re: Rumour: To Avoid Even More PS5 Price Increases, Digital Edition to Get Reduced SSD Space

S1ayeR74

It s pure unadulterated price gouging, nothing more. Has nothing to do with Tariffs, the US tariffs do not impact goods from Japan / China to Europe yet they raised European prices. They get 37% total PlayStation revenue from the US and 34% from Europe, that is not enough to argue US biggest market so to protect it Europe must suffer..
The ONLY argument they can make is inflation, but even that has dropped in some countries, the UK though has kept it sky high and growing thanks to idiot government policy. But the fact cannot be ignored of how old the PS5 is now and that as such production costs WILL be a lot less then when it launched. Sony are making a nice profit here do not be fooled.

Anyway I have not had the time to play my PS5 and have been enjoying PC handheld gaming instead, Steam games can be so cheap too. That is an exciting market in gaming and is just getting better and better at the moment.

Re: Neil Druckmann Focused on Naughty Dog Games, Steps Away from The Last of Us TV Show

S1ayeR74

@Anthony_Daniels If you read my comment you replied to would help. As I stated my post, I hated TLOU2 implying I HAVE played it. So I have all the info I need on it thanks.

Also so far I don’t really think much of Intergalactic, sounds like the same BS as TLOU2 was to be honest. Build a character up you’ll like then kill them off for the shock factor. I most definitely am not paying £70 for it if I ever play it.

Re: Mass Xbox Layoffs Begin, Everwild and Perfect Dark Both Reportedly Cancelled

S1ayeR74

Hire fire hire fire hire fire, Microsoft has rinsed and repeated it so often now. Despicable corporate behaviour.

And cancelling Perfect Dark and closing the studio down should result in Spencer and other executives being fired, it was THERE IDEA! How many millions have they wasted on that?

My Game Pass sub is paid up till next year, and I got that dirt cheap so don’t care if I don’t use it, but going forward it will be Valve and Sony for me. Not going to support the others.

Re: Brazilian Gamers Infuriated by Sudden PS5 Price Hikes

S1ayeR74

I still selfishly think the PS platform is alright value in the games marketplace. They do put their big titles on sale often, you can still buy most games on disk so always get them cheaper from Amazon or second hand. And PSN does still include a seven game now and then.

I did pick up Wukong in the recent sale as I've never played it all, just the timed demo. But I've got a few other games too to finish. Still on DOOM at the moment, I don't use my PS during the hotter days though as much because my Sony OLED TV tends to pump out a lot of heat and I can find it hot enough as it is lol. I keep thinking if I remote play I'll be missing out on the big screen.

Re: Brazilian Gamers Infuriated by Sudden PS5 Price Hikes

S1ayeR74

@sanderson72 Interesting how you say the USA is the ‘Home Country of PlayStation, when of course it isn’t as Sony still fully own the trade mark business and IP of PlayStation, ergo it’s actual Home Country is Japan and we all know how Sony has treated that market.

I think what we are seeing with all these large regular price rises being announced is pure damage control, and an attempt to claw back the VAST sums of Money Ryan and co in the USA has literally flushed down the toilet on utterly stupid ideas and ideologies.. hence why a Japanese is now back in charge of it all.

It was THE worst decision the company has ever made IMO, allowing it’s entire games section to be moved to America (especially California of all places) and be run solely by Europeans and Americans.. Their brand was damaged and now they have to recover from that.

Re: Sony Sued for 'Abusing Its Dominant Position in the Console Market'

S1ayeR74

For as long as disk drives are available and games are released on disks, this is a moot point, don’t like digital prices? Well get it on disks second hand or on sale, most games are even cheaper at launch on Amazon on disk….
I wanted Star Wars Outlaws cheap, guess what it was cheap on disk on Amazon..
Or you can wait for the game to go on sale on one of Sony’s sales it has.

The one digital platform where I find games to be expensive is Nintendo as their first party titles VERY rarely go on sale, but again physical media..

Looks to me like the market there has seen Steam prices and wants the same on PlayStation.

Re: Fans Can't Believe PS5 Has Made More Profit Than All Previous PlayStations Combined

S1ayeR74

When you over charge for things that is what tends to happen. And when you put your prices up across your services and consoles several times a year that also generates large profits.

Can't wait to see the revenue for GTA6 at £90 a go.

The PS5 Pro price is like a sick joke. Everyone said it would never cost that much, and when it did they spent most of the their time defending it.. whilst Sony made record profits.

Re: The Next Xbox Is a PC, So What Does That Mean for PS6?

S1ayeR74

@Titntin Yep, I had a Steam Deck, it was so easy to use and setup from new takes minutes. I traded it in for a Claw 8 Windows 11 handheld PC and that took me about 2 full evenings, so several hours, to setup and it is in no way as easy or smooth to use as a Steam Deck. PS is of course even easier than a Steam Deck to setup and use.
I am now thinking of just getting another Steam Deck to compliment my PS5.

Re: The Next Xbox Is a PC, So What Does That Mean for PS6?

S1ayeR74

I have looked more into this news, and honestly all it does is drive me more towards PlayStation... because PS will still keep physical media kicking around and the games they have are optimised for their systems..
All these Steam and GOG games you'll be able to get on your Console that is really a weak PC will NOT be optimised for it.. no dev is about to release a game on Steam and optimise it purely for an Xbox PC console thing, the same with GOG. And it also means you will own nothing and be happy like any digital game...

I see a lot of idiots out there praising this mentality of not owning anything. And besides Valve is going to kick Microsofts butt with Steam OS, it is aiming to take a chunk of the PC gaming market with it and it shows. Steam Deck was the experiment that has been quite the success for a niche product.

Plus Microsoft has lied so much by now, so many empty promises by Spencer an he is still there, with Sony at least the man obsessed with Live Service games has now gone and it is all back under a Japanese executives guidance.
Sorry but IMO this is all too little and far far far too late by Microsoft.

Re: Sony's PS6 Strategy Is 'Top of Mind', Cloud Streaming to Remain Ancillary to Local Play

S1ayeR74

@Cornpop76 I tested that recently, and DOOM The Dark Ages on PC Game Pass on the top end GeForce Now sub is truly sublime, I tested it on an OLED Steam Deck and got a solid 90FPS with every single setting maxed out using DLSS and having every Ray Tracing option maxed out too. But… the game was ‘down for maintenance’ for about 4 day’s. So I cancelled it for now as I only paid for a month to use it but you cannot guarantee you can play the games when you want to.

Re: Days Gone Dev Hit with Layoffs, Loses 30% of Staff

S1ayeR74

These Job losses are entirely the fault of Sony and Jim Ryan.. if they were not so utterly obsessed with ‘live service’ games then their studios would be making far better more interesting stuff, and people wouldn’t be losing their jobs.
