Of course investors are perfectly fin with it... they all knew it was planned long ago and expected it next gen. Hell everyone was discussing if the PS5 gen would e digital only, and the vast majority from what I remember figured this gen would definitely be the last, now it's happened everyones gone mad!? Even though most people buy digital only or as well as physical.

@Godot25 Well, kids do care about consoles, they want to play games on the telly. Otherwise they want it on handheld (Switch).

I am not that fussed overall about all digital, I own 5 games on disk on PS5, rest is all digital. Only worry is the pricing but I GUARANTEE Sony planned for PS6 to be all digital before they even launched the PS5. Everyone thought PS5 would be all digital..

Building a PC is prohibitively expensive and requires knowledge. To get a PS6 performance will cost you more than the PS6 will IF it is priced at 1000.

Third point you made is conjecture and opinion, it is getting many games you wouldn't think it would. However we need to wait and see what games next gen brings and whether or not they can be adapted to the Switch 2. But it IS a viable option for the children you talk about and with COD coming to it even more so.

Personally I will weigh up my options, Switch 2, handheld PC pr PS6.

Ai and the memory cartels have screwed EVERYTHING up, I doubt very much Sony planned for it.. If they are forced to price PS6 and Helix at 1000 we (could) see the end of console gaming and Nintendo win...... Either way Next gen IS coming, they will want them out as fast as possible as all the predictions are prices on components is only going to go up dramatically.... and those 1000 consoles could end up as 1300.. 1400.. if they delay.

The REAL anger should be aimed at the memory cartels and Ai, instead everyone is misguided and taking aim at Sony, one of the very few companies who have NO influence on Ai and component prices... they'd rather get them all as cheap as possible.

I look forward to the PS handheld with the power to run PS5 and 6 games as heavily rumoured. If they price that at 700 and make it dockable with your TV....... they could win over a fair few I think.

@PercyChuggs Like what games are Nintendo notorious for removing than? Also you can buy digital keys for Nintendo games so you can get them much cheaper.. can't do that with PlayStation.

I see it has been found out Sony has been planning to ditch disks for a while, the factory that makes them has re-invested 30 million odd into new equipment to manufacture something totally different, so they aren't going to change their minds on it...

Also more rumours circulating about more PSN price increases, oh and lets not forget the multiple court cases around the globe against Sony claiming it's PSN store is monopolistic..

No.. PlayStation will hit true rock bottom when they announce a £1000 PS6 digital only console... oh and increase the PS5 retail price by another 100 to 200, which they will do from the predictions of component cost increases....

Parents are not going to rush out to buy £1000 consoles for their kids.. and adults will find it hard to justify too whilst being locked into only one storefront for your games.. Sales have already dropped by over 40% on PS5 since the price increases so that alone proves your opinion is wrong..

Given the current market, the drop in sales, this was THE most stupid decision Sony could have made at this time, period.

I cancelled my pre-order for the PS5 Steel Book new Silent Hill game, what is the point in it? If I do buy a PS6 or jump platform I cannot play it either way...

It will be VERY interesting to see if Sony DO release a new handheld that plays PS5 and 6 games, as very heavily rumoured, as that could be a winner IF it is dockable too, and they price it at say 700 or less. Considering the PS5 Pro price was 700. But this is Sony and the chances are if they do make a new handheld it will not be lockable, you want big screen action you buy the home console for a grand or more..

Someone on You Tube said it best, just do whatever you want as you're f***** either way.. relating to the fact disk games haven't had the full disk on them for ages now, requiring the game to be downloaded.

@RoomWithaMoose No, people BOUGHT the films, just the same as if you bought the disk from Amazon, but Sony has DELETED the films from there accounts, they no longer own or have the films.. they can and HAVE done the same with the games. You do NOT own ANY digital media, fact, despite the, fact, you are presented as 'buying' the game for purchase.

@RoomWithaMoose Does not matter, the point still stands, YOU do not own your digital games even if you buy them, Sony CAN remove them from your library anytime it wants too.... that is a fact! You are totally reliant on Sony servers too working, PSN goes down well no gaming for you then...

Want to also say the company with the security of a paper door wats to go digital only.. wide open to abuse and theft from hackers.

@RedAngel_Dragnet @RedAngel_Dragnet Lol nope try again, you can get Nintendo games PHYSICALLY for a cheaper price now. Won't be doing that on PlayStation anymore... Also Nintendo games max out at £70 the exact same as PS5 games do...

Put it this way too.... Sony charge you £800 for PS6 BUT ALL games are Digital only AND the they increase game rises to £80 to £90 for base versions of games.. AND they have total control over any discount sales..

That is what they mean by looking at the business model of next gen changing it....

Your indie game you get for £30 now goes up to £50..

Also this now means you CANNOT use Sony's current or future consoles offline.. yeah plenty like the idea of being offline, not anymore matey.

This is monopolistic and I would argue illegal too, they have COMPLETE control on the pricing now, no second hand games, no lending games, no cheaper Amazon games, no game keys at a cheeper price as Sony doesn't allow those... Jesus.

Well I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a Switch 2 to try out so may as well now.

Sony shot themselves in the foot with the frankly stupid PS5 Pro pricing, 700 was utterly ridiculous. Now I doubt that is selling much at all.

Meh I am seriously weighing up my options. Keep looking at the Switch 2, and might look at the Steam Machine depending on its price. Keep PS5 as I personally think it will be relevant and get the same games as PS6 for another 5 or 6 years yet.

Mine tells me I have no games at all now in my library. What a cluster f*** again by Sony. Their network reliability is as good as a modern day Range Rover!

I enjoy this show, its a show from a game done right... not surprised it is doing well and into a third season.

I voted Pragmata and Resi, 007 was very good but not quite game of the year for me.

Sonys got more multiplayer games on the go than Xbox has! At least there are a few single player story adventures still being made

@DennisReynolds Yeah it keeps drawing me in, but then I think PS6 'could' be out next year. Decisions decisions. I know if I get a PS5 Pro and then PS6 comes out end of next year I'll be annoyed possibly lol.
