Re: UK Sales Charts: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart the Next Insomniac Game to Take Top Spot

S1ayeR74

@JJ2 It's like the top ten singles charts, they stopped looking at physical sales as it was pointless and added digital sales, now they look at you tube hits to claim one track is more favourable then another.
These physical game sales charts will be the same, unless they start to include digital sales too and then look at downloaded games like on Game Pass. Or they will become obsolete and present a false picture.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart the Next Insomniac Game to Take Top Spot

S1ayeR74

@arra1213 You don't actually know how much money Microsoft is spending though so your comment is mute. You also have no idea how it's business model works, and ignored the fact Microsoft announced record breaking earnings for Xbox the last quarter an I believe the quarter before that. So yeah they are making lots of money it seems, unless your going to accuse them of lying to investors, which is illegal.
Microsoft's model is no longer based purely n physical games sales, yet they are still generating billions in income.

Re: Sony Bigwigs Congratulate Xbox for E3 2021 Showcase

S1ayeR74

Of course they will congratulate each other, they are business partners, in a way a lot of Sony's future relies on Microsoft and its Azure network after all. Sony has no where near the funds to build a state of the art global network like it. And Microsoft I'm sure appreciates the income from the deal and they all like a platform that's dedicated to gaming.
Whilst fanboys fight, you'll probably find these execs like these meet more then you think, they are leading a gigantic global industry that employs hundreds of thousands at the end of the day. A big responsibility.

Re: God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 PS4 Versions Confirmed

S1ayeR74

@truerbluer Microsoft has been very smart, they know there markets and it includes PC, so they have embraced all markets and new ones, mobile, with innovative services like Game Pass and Remote Play. Sony are visibly unable to compete with that, they are going to bring their games to PC, but try and keep the console exclusivity for a year or two first? And as you said that won't work and will annoy many console gamers, especially at £70 a game!
In essence with Microsoft you know exactly where you stand, with Sony you haven't a clue as they will lie and deceive you, and later admit they are doing the same thing as Microsoft.
To me that's the issue, Sony REALLY need to be up front and straight with people. Many love their games and console, but they'll be turned away if you lie and deceive them for profit.

Re: Talking Point: Did Sony Lie About PS5?

S1ayeR74

Well.. it'll certainly be interesting to see how technically it's true PS5 exclusive games stack up to its cross gen ones. Gran Turismo is a game that really should be a PS5 exclusive.

But of course they lied, that's Sony now and Ryan, they saw an opportunity to discredit the competition and it's come back to bite them in the arse and make them look the fools they are.

The way they were going to kill off the Vita, and didn't tell anyone still making games for it. And now this, says it all. Sony is a deceitful company.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Mesmerises in 14 Minute Gameplay Sequence

S1ayeR74

To me it looked the same as the first game, graphics a bit better, but it seemed slow and clunky. Also it reminded so much of Uncharted but worst snd looked like it played like another generic Sony third person action game. Wasn’t impressed. And I don’t know if it was the stream but I saw it jerking a lot too. I never did like the first game for the same reasons though. I’m more of an Uncharted fan. I find the story and script boring and a bit forced with Horizon.

Re: Sony Has More Than 25 PS5 Exclusives in Development, And Almost Half Are New IP

S1ayeR74

@theMEGAniggle Don't know, I've played lots of PS exclusives and I didn't really like Horizon, Spider Man, God Of War although I ordered it's older over the top gameplay style. But I do like Days Gone and really enjoy Uncharted, also TLOU 1, I won't go into part 2.. but I did finish it.
So I'll wait for a new Uncharted game before deciding if it's worth the stress of trying to buy a PS5 haha, I'll probably just wait for the slim though.

Re: Sony Has More Than 25 PS5 Exclusives in Development, And Almost Half Are New IP

S1ayeR74

@theMEGAniggle I've been playing a lot of the games on Game Pass, a lot of older classics. But I've finished Watch Dogs Legion, got it for £15 in a sale, and currently in Resi Village. Also going through Cyberpunk, and Gears Of War 3, State Of Defay 2. Also play COD MW team death match. Oh and the Gears 5 DLC.
I would prefer the platforming of SackBoy I think. I didn't get on with SpiderMan before. Demon Souls and Returnal would probably have me throwing the controller across the room lol. I understand they are difficult. Well Returnal has no save feature as such.

On PlayStation I prefer the slower paced games like Uncharted.

Re: Sony Has More Than 25 PS5 Exclusives in Development, And Almost Half Are New IP

S1ayeR74

@theMEGAniggle I couldn't think of them hence the question. I still class Myles as DLC. But still it's a full game.
SackBoy I think is the best of that lot. I've been enjoying my Series X, grateful I've actually got one of the new gen systems, I haven't bothered with the stress of trying and failing to get a PS5. But will be keen to see if a new Uncharted is announced. Or Syphon Filter or Resistance (all 3 would be ace). Looks like it's worth waiting for a PS5 Slim or see if a redesign happens next year at this point.

Re: Days Gone Director on Skipped Sequel: 'If You Love a Game, Buy It at F***ing Full Price'

S1ayeR74

@lindos They don't offer demos because it costs them money to do it, and they are afraid it'll damage sales because people won't like the game as much. That's why Game Pass is good in this sense as you can play the whole fake for nothing, but they should similarly offer the same thing for game demos on PlayStation. You have no idea if you'll like a game and if it's worth the full price till you've played it personally.

Re: Days Gone Director on Skipped Sequel: 'If You Love a Game, Buy It at F***ing Full Price'

S1ayeR74

Haha what a sad loser, he can frankly sod off with his moaning he's not rich enough! If he wants games to be purchased at £70 then he can damn well provide a full proper demo first then!!... but obviously he won't do that because it'll affect his pay cheque.. what an idiot. Because getting a refund out of Sony for anything is harder then tying a rope around the moon and pulling it closer to earth... so if the game is a buggy mess at launch, as they seemingly tend to be these days Sony being no exception, and they want you to buy it full price on Sony then they can actually offer a refund policy even if you've played the game for an hour or two. Or you know, actually launch game worth the money and that isn't a buggy messes...

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

S1ayeR74

@Nem Oh dear your still making that counter claim, you don’t even know what that is.. using your logic Jim Ryan stated “a whole slate” of games NOT older ones will be coming to PC. You accused me of lying and still are with absolutely zero proof to back it up.
Days Gone was launched in April 2019 and some would say that isn’t an old game and it’s on PC this year as confirmed by Sony.

Here the full interview with Ryan where he talks about it, read between the lines and basically they want to make more money through PC sales, and PC gamers won’t want old games all the time.
https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/culture/article/playstation-vr-jim-ryan-interview-2021

But I’m sure you’ll carry in with your path of accusations with again zero proof. You carry on defending that plastic box buddy!

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

S1ayeR74

@Nem Let's roll back a bit here, you flat out accused me of lying, I said I had no idea what you were on about as your details were lacking to say the least, you then proclaimed it was because I stated that new PS exclusive games would come to PC. Both new and old. That's a counter claim. I asked you to provide proof as YOU stated that it would only be older games. And you've been in the defence ever since without providing a shred of proof for that claim.
So unless you are capable of providing that proof, then it's all your own personal opinion and nothing more. And using your own logic that puts you on the exact same standing as myself.

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

S1ayeR74

@Nem haha I'm afraid you've shattered nothing, only what is in your own imagination. You are a total hypocrite and fail to see it because your so blinded by your defence of a plastic box. You don't even know what a counter claim is when you see it. I requested you to provide proof to back 'your claim' up and as expected, because your incapable of providing any you go on the insult and attack.
Come back when you have valid proof of your claim.

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

S1ayeR74

@Nem No that's purely your own personal opinion with no facts to back it up. You are just as wrong or right as I am in this argument, unless you have a link to prove Jim Ryan stated only older games would be coming to PC, which he hasn't.
Your making it up just the same.
You seem to have failed to see that flaw in your argument..

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Think Sony's Obsession with PS5 Blockbusters Aligns with Reality

S1ayeR74

@trev666 You know that sounds EXACTLY like Polyphony Digital, who I don't think have ever made another game bar GT. Oh and another point about how your wrong is to highlight the fact the studio behind the Forza games is making the new Fable game, which couldn't be any more different if it tried. Microsoft has already, reportedly, stated any of its studios can make whatever they want.

Re: Sony Wants to Bring PlayStation's Most Popular Franchises to Smartphones

S1ayeR74

Well, if they let you stream your games then it’ll be good. It they try to remake those games for mobile it’ll be a disaster as knowing Sony they will be ‘free to play’, with endless pay walls and micro transactions mobile gamers seem to love.
They bought Forza recently natively to mobiles, and unsurprisingly its to play so all the addicts can pay the micro transactions. I suspect Sony will follow the same route, and in my mind it makes those games worthless garbage, with pay to play and win being the name of the game. They have been trying to force this model to console games for years and so far, have been blocked or rejected from doing it, with laws now changed over thins like loot boxes as it’s seen as a form of gambling.

Re: Sony Planning PS Now in India as PS5 Software Struggles

S1ayeR74

@GamingVeteran Your analogy is flawed, SNES games cost so much because cartridges were a fortune to buy even in bulk, and the market wasn’t nearly as big as it is today. Cartridges have always been the most expensive media to use.
And as for films, well if a film cost as much as a game to produce, currently I could rent that film on release on a streaming service to watch for £15, I could then wait and buy that film in 4K for say another £15, so £30 total to buy the same film twice, one to keep one to watch. How does that compare to a Sony £70 game bought through their digital store? The film studios are still making a huge profit.
