I just tested it out for about an hour and there wasn't any frame drops to my eye no matter what I did including flight so you should be good.

Most fantasy settings are based of the medieval ages and back then the "British" accent would have been very similar to a modern "American" accent. Many Americans are descended from British colonizers and they kept their original accents while native Brits had their accents evolve over the centuries. So funnily enough American accents in the middle ages would ironically be more historically accurate.

Nightdive is really one of my favorite developers right now. Their remasters of Quake, Powerslave, Doom 64 and Turok have all been blasts to play and have introduced these games to a whole new audience like myself who didn't use to play these types of games.

The entire plot is that this civilization collapsed because the Soviet government took a major breakthrough and royally f---ed it all up due to their narrow minded ideologies and subpar capabilities. That is about as anti-Soviet as you can possibly get. Also are you boycotting American developers who have nothing to do with the military due to military war crimes? Probably not, just saying.

This is a Playstation site, it's a tv adaptation of a Playstation game. They also review movies based on Playstation games too like they did when the Uncharted movie came out. So yes they will talk about each episode when it airs. If you don't like it then it's very easy to just ignore.

The first season is by far the weakest. It's really from the second season onwards that the whole cast gets fleshed out and everything really clicks. The best way I can describe it is scifi Game of Thrones. I say that because there's alot of political and war based plotlines like Thrones and also like Thrones it has a very large cast to the point there isn't really what you could call a main character. If that isn't your kind of tea then I recommend to steer clear of it.

Joel surviving this injury is alot more realistic then falling through an entire rebar that goes straight through his abdomen. You don't survive that, much less from being cared for by only a 14 year old with no medical experience. So I'm glad they made it somewhat more believable.

Not buying a game just because the developers are of a certain nationality is incredibly narrowminded. Also just because a piece of media uses certain symbols doesn't make it propoganda for that specific ideology. Wolfenstein has Swastikas all over the damn place but it most certainly is not pro-Nazi.

Fully playable means "you can play the game from start to finish we just need to polish it up" it doesn't mean "we have developed a 20 percent chunk of this game so far that you can play through".

I don't get the argument that Sony isn't innovative. They have always been S-tier with electronics, the reason both portable music players and CD's took off was largely their involvement. Disc based consoles became the norm precisely because they made them massively affordable. Their monitors and TV's are excellent, even their VR headsets were cheaper and more efficient than any other headset on the market and the sales reflect that.

That's entirely a myth that was unfounded. Youtuber Math Chief became close friends with the lead guy who worked on this game back in 2018 and has debunked all those claims. This game is no more pro Soviet than Singularity or Metro.

Two things;
1. They said going in that there wasn't going to be nearly as much combat as the game in order to make the show much more believable before the first episode even aired. We can suspend our disbelief that Joel and Ellie can massacre dozens and dozens of enemies unscathed in a video game but in a tv show with a very grounded tone most people can't suspend their disbelief to that same level.
2. This season is covering the whole first game. I think they can make it work.

You can watch any Youtube video that would explain why this game is a scam way better than I ever could. Developer with an abysmal track record, allegations of stolen assets, every piece of footage being proven to be so staged it is laughable, the game being dropped from Steam, it just goes on and on.

HBO's weekly episode model has always been better for them, many of their shows including: Game of Thrones, Westworld, Boardwalk Empire, Euphoria, House of the Dragon, etc. have all remained in the public conscious because of it keeping people talking about them for months on end. Countless streaming shows by comparison have been hurt or even cancelled because everyone watches the whole thing at once and then immediately forget about it for a year or two until the next season drops so they then talk about it for maybe a couple days, rinse and repeat.

All jokes aside a comedy movie or whatever where the main character is always invisible and they purposefully never show them just to f--k with the audience would be pretty funny. Leave the voice actor who voices the character uncredited also so it will drive everyone crazy trying to find out who they are.

Alot of people have quoted how long to beat but I have never found their estimates to be the least bit accurate. They have a tendency to overestimate things. I stick to what the average of people beating games on youtube as the much more accurate estimate and on average most are finishing at around 9-12 hours. Left Behind takes about 90 minutes.

Thats still six more episodes after Bills town. Last of Us was only a 10 hour game and that included long stretches of combat and traversal that are obviously going to be cut out of this show. I'm not worried about it being rushed.

Typically episodes in HBO series from my experience (excluding the pilot and the season finales) tend to be anywhere from 50-60 minutes. Though there are also exceptions even to that, almost every episode of House of the Dragon was more than an hour.
