Im so confused by this doom headline, high 70s to low 80s seems pretty good! Just been watching a couple of reviews on youtube and the game seems pretty solid? Main complaints are Inventory / lack of storage (which is being added post launch) and the complete lack of info about how some things work (like fast travel points and how to heal your horse) so its on the extreme end of not hand-holding (theres no way points) pretty sure they will patch some of that stuff into the game pretty quickly though.
Pretty much seems like a single player MMO packed with exploration, hidden secrets and puzzles etc which some you can do on your own and some your gonna need to follow a guide / ask the reddit / discord community to help solve stuff.
Still looking forward to playing it, seems like you are getting a LOT for your money which is a good thing. If your wanting a fairly balanced take watch the Luke Stephens / Paul Tassi / Game Ranx reviews, they give good examples of the great, good, bad and frustrating things. Anyone still paying attention to IGN reviews, well thats on you.
I cannot wait for this, Returnal is still my game of this gen so far so I know its gonna be good. 2026 has been a great year for games (for me) so far.
I like everything i've seen of it enough to hover over the Pre-Order button, but I still have no idea what its all about, like whats the plotline? Someone said it best earlier, But I hope its not a chuck everything at it, look what cool things you can do Sandbox but none of it comes together to make a "good" game. At this point im still thinking of waiting for a few reviews before buying.
Oh LordT, just watched the video, for the 1st time its making me want a Pro! For everyone wondering they did say the base PS5 video is coming in a couple days, guessing they just wanted to prioritize the Pro version first.
@JoeNobody Another American saying the UK is somehow backwards in the comments, what's that 3 profiles in 3 days now? Something funny bout that maybe it should be looked into..
The main thing it's making me feel is that I'm glad I still like buying physical copies of my games. Dynamic pricing on anything is an absolute scum practice.
I was reading about this, the main point seems to be customers (in the UK) are paying vastly more for digital games than physical ones, and they are querying why that is? ie theres no physical product attached to a digital game so it should it cost less, and Sony are charging far more for digital. Fully support this case, there is absolutely no reason digital games should cost much more.
Im still holding out for game reviews and PS5 Performance reviews before buying, its just seems too good to be true atm with everything its offering and promising
@Brigurugi BOLD and BRAVE of someone with United States as their location to share that opinion in 2026. Anyway Requiem is fantastic, finished it last night, Def in contention for being the best RE game so far, awesome to see hopefully new players pick up previous entries as well!
Not a big PVP / Extraction player, but the server slam really surprised me! Played a lot more than I expected to! One of those games that got better the more you played, understood etc Didnt buy it as I know I would drop off quickly once it got toooo sweaty, but if you like a semi-hardcore PVP shooter with a learning curve, and builds etc would totally recommend it.
Does look pretty damn good now. I was on the side of this being a DOA, but now think its got a pretty good chance of being a decent sized success for them.
While its not a game i'll buy cos I dont like pvp extraction shooters, i'll def check out the server slam to see how it plays etc but deep down I'll always wish it was a single player experience cos the art style and music is incredible.
Delay it to 2028/9 There is absolutely no desire from most people for a new console yet, Its only really felt like this gen is just getting started from last year.
Beyond baffling why Sony haven't revived Ridge Racer as a proper big budget modern day arcade racer, it would be such a good companion to GT with that being the more "serious" game
Shame its getting life support unplugged, it should have been made playable offline for those with the disc at least. Was a very fun game to play tbh a shame Bioware just didnt know what to do with it or realize what they had / could have been.
Regardless of your feelings on EA, this is gross and a dark day for the games industry. I never cared for their games but now I know I will never touch their games.
Played the beta a lot more than i expected over the weekend, was great fun tbh but too many big games out this month, I already have Borderlands 4 and Alien Rogue Incursion pre-ordered, so not a priority purchase for the foreseeable
Just shows you all these people care about is moneymoneymoney it's no longer good enough to make a great game that will sell millions, now they want it to have shows, films and all that BS. The chase for money always leads to the death of creativity and reputation.
Lets hope the door hits Hulst on the way out right after ole Pete Parsons from Bungie has been pushed through them.
Good riddance, I hope the door does hit him on the way out!
Its Not just people in the D2 community happy about this, a lot of the ex-staff members (and presume most of the current staff) seem to be celebrating this.
Now sack Pete Parsons and toss him into the sea, but this is probably the best for Bungie in the longterm, its VERY clear whatever is going on over there isn't good.
I also dont think Marathon is going to see the light of the day, and if it does, its going to tank not just sales wise but Bungies rep even more.
@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare " The level of hate and derision on a game that isn't aimed at 98% of the people on this site is of course, predictable."
Bit unfair, the game isn't reviewing well anywhere, well apart from thesixthaxis. Im sure people will enjoy it and thats perfectly fine, but lets at least be informed before chucking out things like the above

Re: Crimson Desert Release Times: When Can You Start Playing?
86Gb for the PS5, that is much smaller than I thought it would be! That's equivalent to RE Requiem, crazy for the amount of stuff thats packed into it
Re: PS5 Pro Firmware Update Adds PSSR 2 Upgrade to PS5 Games Today
Just sold on my base PS5 and managed to get a Pro over the weekend, so im excited to see the updates especially on my Requiem replay!

10pm / 11pm on a Thursday night for the UK/Europe?
JAIL! To the person who thought that was a good idea.

Re: Resident Evil 2 Director Says Requiem Needs a 'Non-Scary' Mode for Fraidy Cats Like Him
@Kienda my guy, Requiem has sold over 5 Million copies in its FIRST week alone, am gonna say a hell of a lot of the general public like Horror Games!
If it wasn't for GTA6 later this year, it's prob on track to be one the years biggest sellers
Re: Resident Evil 2 Director Says Requiem Needs a 'Non-Scary' Mode for Fraidy Cats Like Him
Resident Evil without the horror would be like a football game without the football..

First Gollum, now this, the Middle-Earth Shadow games seem like a long long time ago
But also, I was low-ley rooting for this to be good, a chill LOTR game should have been a slam dunk, but oh well!
