I gave it a 5, simply because the horrendous stealth mechanics and its auto-fail mission nonsense.

Taking 8 years to make a game only for it be kill switched after 14 days...would you ever want to make a game again? but perversely, the physicals are being Flogged for upwards of a £/$100 on ebay already.

And it'll prob be the most viewed of all the episodes out of sheer curiosity!

The whole Concord fiasco thing is the very small tip of a very large Iceberg when it comes to Sony / Gaming Industry, like how is taking 5 - 7 years and spending hundreds of million dollars per AAA game anyway sustainable? You spend all that time research and dollars just to end up with a beige 8 - 12 hour cookie cutter sequel?

I feel like the AAA gaming industry is a few years away from completely collapsing on itself, and I dont know if thats a bad thing tbh No company should be spending hundreds of millions of dollars and creating 1 singular game, its just insane, perhaps maybe after Concords dust has been settled, it might force companies like Sony to re-assess how AAA games are made, most people just want a decent game to play with a good interesting story, you dont need to spend hundreds of millions to do that.

HOLY CRAP! I go out for 2 hours and come back to this, absolutely wild! Its the right thing to do, hopefully if there's a way forward it includes some single player campaign content, a character re-design etc but oooof! A hard lesson to learn for everyone involved and that includes Sony, but nobody should be cheering this, have a bit of humanity.

@Olmaz Absolutely nobody is trying to be EdGy cos they are enjoying Vampire Survivors, it is such a weird take tbh its fine to not like the game, but what we should all be taking from this is, this simple little low pixel game has more fun, enjoyment and sheer depth than most AAA games released and it costs less than a Starbucks.

I bought Star Wars Outlaws and this, and honestly I've not even started Outlaws cos of Vampire Survivors... ooops!

Feels glorious playing this on a PS5 and t'big telly! Sunk about 90 mins and didnt even realise, oops! The fact you can get the base game and all the DLC for a Tenner is a wild bargain!

It absolutely wont have a disc drive and anyone expecting it is fooling themselves, especially when they've got a expensive disc drive attachment to fleece us all with, KER-CHING! They are absolutely out to rob as much money off people as they possibly can this generation.

Playing games early as a pre-order incentive is a trend that needs to burn, but also 100 Ubi-Points is so LOL, its completely worthless, makes me almost respect the sheer big F U energy it has. Though if you're still spending £100 plus on day 1 UBI games in 2024...

So... a bog standard UBI score then. Will prob pick it up for a bit of glossy popcorn fun!

For the longest time, I had no real interest in this, but this week, am thinking of getting it! Combo of the Autumn nights creeping in and looking for a nice bit of story to play. Will check out a few reviews before deciding, plus its Ubi, so I have absolutely no doubt there'll be a few janky bits that need patching / missions not working

Out of curiosity, I watched one of the big D2 PVP players play this yesterday, and he pretty much said "its extremely polished, well presented, runs well and is fun to play BUT lacks originality and for a pvp game thats costs money to play, it needed to do more than offer what you can already get for free elsewhere" Seems like thats the general consensus across the board from people playing it.

I have zero interest in this game but let me say something positive about it, there's good talented developers working on it and I hope the people it appeals to enjoy it, but Sony got a mountain to climb with this one and I hope they are ready for it.

Im toying with the The Complete edition of Chernobylite for £8 but im still unsure if its "actually decent" or "janky nonsense" or bit of both?

2025 is gonna be a bloodbath for these type of games, Marathon, Exoborne and now this.

As a show it was shockingly poor, I mean TENCENT winning some madeup Kind to the Enviroment award, I mean really!

Also I've realised, I am just over most modern gaming, I was more interested in games shown in the Pre Show, that Horror Farm Sim, Cairn the climbing game, seemed really cool and at least creative, out of the "Big" games only Sniper Elite and the Dune game got me interested and CIV looked cool as well.

I actually this looked pretty decent! Though for some reason I had it in my head it was a single player / optional co-op mmo

I just watched Spawnwave play an hour of this on the PS5, Was a bit boring tbh! Just looked like general meandering inbetween boss fights really. He played on performance mode for most of it, but did switch between the different modes available, the graphics do take quite a hit on performance but it plays very smoothly, with the occasional frame rate glitch. Recommend watching the video if you're interested in the game.

The PS6 will release before this game.

Just buy the original for pennies instead.

I want to like this, but the PS3 demo-vibes this gives off is so off-putting!

There's no hype surrounding it cos its a remakeremaster nobody ever wanted, we could have had Until Dawn 2 instead.

For context I love the game, but I am absolutely not about to fork out presumably £50 - £70 for a pointless remaster, so I hope like Last of Us 2 there's a £10 upgrade fee if you own the original.

After Valhalla im checked out of the "BIG" AC Titles for the foreseeable, give me more Mirage style adventures though, loved that.

2 hrs is pretty nice for a base playthrough in this genre tbh like said, these games have a pretty high replay value for those of us that are fans of this kind of game, pretty nice its made in Edin as well, some good news for the Scottish gaming devs esp after the closing down of the big CGI company in Glasgow.

I think they will be waiting to see how Marathon lands, if it makes the money and is a hit, they'll pull focus to that and slowly wind down D2. If Marathon is a failure there'll be some kind of Destiny 3, there's just no way D2 can continue on with the current sub-par Episode strategy they are currently rolling with and with no big expansion planned for anytime soon, its hard to see how they keep it ticking along with everything going on at their studio

Since it Grubbs i'll wait for some proper verification, but all the messages from the now ex staff and people who are still there are all pretty much on the same page, ie Pete Parsons has to go and that none of this is any of Sonys doing.

By all accounts the staff have been voicing concerns over quality issues and numerous other issues for years but management have completely ignored them and steam rolled ahead anyway, hence all these unavoidable mistakes, pretty grim reading to be fair.

Seems like Sony are the "good guys" in this mess, offering to take on some staff etc and honestly if Sony need to wrangle control of management, let them. I dont think its what any of the Bungie staff want, but I think they know they need it.
