I don't see the issue. Nintendo consoles haven't been about power since the GameCube, but the first party games always look great through great design. Mine's preordered ready to sit next to my PS5, and I can't wait for the new Mario Kart.

I love Mario Kart, but I wouldn't pay that for it. I've preordered the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World included, which makes the price much more reasonable. I can't justify paying even £70 for PS5 games when I have a backlog and games I want to replay to keep me going until the price drops.

This game is an embarrassment to the series. I didn't even make it through one of the stories. Even forgetting the terrible gameplay, the presentation was shocking: the main numbered Resi games have always looked great for their generation, but I couldn't believe I was looking at a AAA Capcom game.

Let's not forget the lack-wits who pay through the nose to line the scalpers pockets. Without their support they'd have no reason to do it.

I think it completely diluted down the impact of Aerith's death, a process which begun when Cloud initially saved her (but didn't really, as it was all in his head). In the original, the point was she was there, and then suddenly she was gone, and he could never see her again. In Rebirth he can't seem to get rid of her.

I'm surprised by how little of this interests me. I did get a Series S a couple of years ago, and quickly got buyer's remorse as it gathered dust. Guess I'm a Playstation/Nintendo guy.

After 2 races off non-stop insane rambling, I turned the speech to zero and greatly improved the experience. Seriously, why did the developers feel you need to listen to conversations to pass the time while racing?

@ShogunRok 100% agree. Visual novels aren't my thing, but I loved 13 Sentinels. Everyone should at least give this a go.

PS5 sales will go through the roof with all the Xbox and PC users unable to wait 2 days to get their hands on this! And if that's sarcasm, then what exactly IS the point?

This can wait until my birthday in August when it can have the full attention it deserves. So much to play on my PS5, and I'm half way through Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on the Switch, and then there's my Series S that's, um, collecting dust and giving me occasional buyer's remorse.

@Balosi It just looked smoother than other PS1 games. Great graphic design. Can't wait to replay this.

Was hyped for this but didn't preorder due to Supermassive's inconsistency. It's disappointing (Rush of Blood is one of my VR favourites), but I'll probably give it a go if it gets a big price drop in a sale.

@LifeGirl The formula's been done to death in Elders Scrolls and Fallout, both of which have become very tired for me. I remember quickly becoming bored of this when it came out on the PS4.

We need tracks. The game launched with only 4 tracks that weren't in Sport, and Watkins Glen is the only track that is unique to this entry.

Glad I'm only getting premium because I tried out PS Now when it was on sale.

Even if there were gameplay tweaks, I still argue £70 is a joke. Yes I'm sure a lot of work is being put in, but the script, voice acting, motion capture, area design and music among many other things that take a lot of time and money are already done.

The problem I found with this on Xbox was that it could become a borderline obsession; checking the criteria for earning points every day, clicking on different pointless things, doing 30 searches, downloading games I wasn't really interested in. It was like I was booting up the PS5 and Switch to play games, then booting up the Xbox to do some crap to earn points. You realise you're wasting a lot of time getting a handful of points. Don't get me wrong, it's great that you can get actual rewards, but you need to not get into a rut of doing it every day like a job.

I can see the Sony version being the same, but as it's my primary console, I should hopefully earn the rewards more organically, and I'll just have to try and avoid getting into pointless clicking around and watching videos that just eats into precious gaming time.
