Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - 5 Things for PS5 Fans to Pay Attention To

"we’ll likely get a spec sheet in the aftermath of its presentation."

Will we though? Outside of the most generic specs, like physical dimensions. I doubt they'll mention anything like teraflops and such, they never do that stuff. The official specifications for the Switch only mentions a "custom Nvidia Tegra processor".

The leaked shipping data specs we already have are more than we'll get from Nintendo.

EDIT: The mysterious C button is probably the equivalent of the PS/Xbox button on those console's respective controllers, bringing up an activity bar like feature which has been absent on the Switch.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Cinematic Trailer Sets Scene for Sengoku Action

@Dragon83 Valid points about the other black assassins. Black Flag, etc. came out before the culture war flaming landscape that we've been spiralling in since like 2016. I have no doubt that if those games came out a few years later we'd be seeing the same crap now. There's a whole generation now being fed algorithm ragebait and we can see the unfortunate results.

Re: LEGO to Bring Game Development In-House, New Studio Created

I'm guessing that supposed Skywalker Saga type Lego Harry Potter game by TT isn't happening then - or it's the last outsourced LEGO game to be in production.

Either way I'm curious/happy to see the studio doing a non Lego game in the future, it's been about 17 years since their last release.

I recently watched a video about a pitch they presented for a regular Hobbit movie tie in, using scenes from LOTR as a base, to branch out from the constant Lego churn. That ended up being forced into Lego LOTR by management, followed by the Lego Hobbit game. Surprisingly most of the elements from that pitch ended up in the final version verbatim - QTEs, stealth and magic mechanics, dialogue taken directly from the movies, etc. only with the realistic models replaced with minifigures.

Re: Yoshida: I Played The Last of Us Online and It Was Great

I really think they should have considered releasing the game, but not dedicating the studio to endless support. Launch the game, give it a year of support and then mainly leaving it there as a finished package for people to keep playing, only minor updates to maintain the game's stability. It's not like people will stop playing a game immediately if there isn't constantly new seasons with tons of content. Smash Ultimate still has a captive base, as just one example.

Either that or hand off post launch support to another studio.

Re: Onimusha 2 Remaster Announced for PS4, Coming This Year

Orpheus79V

I gave up hope of remasters for the Onimusha sequels considering Warlords was years ago now.
I wonder what took them so long? I thought the sales were softer than they'd like and they chose not to bother (particularly with actor likenesses), but obviously not with the new game.
