Re: PS5 Tipped to Top Switch 2 Sales in the US This Year

Orpheus79V

@Bionic-Spencer Yeah I had some money saved aside for a Pro, but I figured I'd be better off waiting a bit and spending it on the Switch 2. I don't need a slightly better PS5 than my launch day unit as much as I need a brand new Nintendo system.

@AlexOlney Helloooo there, lovely person.

Re: Bayonetta Turns 15, Announcements Planned to Celebrate

@UltimateOtaku91 Still a Sega IP, Nintendo just funded 2, 3 and Origins.

The Wonderful 101 was a fully owned Nintendo IP but they relinquished the rights to Platinum. I don't expect something similar to happen here with Bayonetta, but it's certainly not impossible. It depends on if they see any value in the franchise without Kamiya going forward.

(Fatal Frame 4 and 5 were also Nintendo co-produced games with Koei Tecmo that are now multiplat since we're on the subject).

Re: Unfazed by Concord, Sony Doubles Down on Exploring Service Games

Orpheus79V

Not sure why anyone is surprised by this. We've known they've had many live service games in the works. The idea is to throw a bunch of them out to see what sticks, if a few succeed it'll pay for the ones that failed. Sony knew going in that some of the projects would be failures, and others would be cancelled before making it to market.

Re: SEGA President Calls Sonic Superstars a 'Disappointment'

Orpheus79V

@Banjo- Yeah Superstars is a solid 7/10 imo. Obviously a big step down from Mania, but it's much better than the recent 2D output aside from that game (Sonic 4, the 3DS games). Pretty impressive turnaround from the Balan Wonderworld team as well. Give them another 3-4 years to polish up what they started with here and the next game could really be something. Drop the 4 player co-op - 2 is enough for 2D Sonic - and the online mode nobody plays, give boss fights better pacing, more characters (Mighty and Ray return) and stages and you're golden.

Re: One Month Later, PS Stars Cash Rewards Finally Return

Orpheus79V

@NeuralDeclan it was a completely random issue. Some were affected, some weren't. I only had £10 wallet funds available. Some believe it was A/B testing but it's probably just a glitch that Sony took a while to fix because Stars doesn't seem like a huge priority given the long outage.
