Finland's finest establishment, Housemarque, is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, and the studio appears to be teasing, well, something or other for the occasion.

For the record, Housemarque's anniversary falls on 19th July, so we expect whatever's being teased to crop up around then.

On its socials, the developer recently shared this unusual found footage-style clip with oddly superimposed sound on top:

It's not really clear what this teaser is hinting towards, but the comments beneath it have some ideas.

Some are shouting Saros, the upcoming follow-up to the studio's brilliant roguelike shooter, Returnal. Indeed, the team is planning to unveil gameplay later this year, so perhaps it's simply something to do with that.

Other hopes and dreams in the replies are a PS5 Pro patch for Returnal, Resogun 2, a new Super Stardust, and even Alienation 2. Housemarque has made lots of great games in its time, hasn't it?

If we had to throw in some guesses as to what this means... Maybe it'll be playing back some nostalgic behind-the-scenes clips from its early days? Or, perhaps the studio has worked out time travel, and this footage has been brought back from the 90s?

Maybe the Saros reveal trailer was a bait and switch, and actually the game is an FMV adventure set inside a Finnish game studio, and this is the gameplay reveal?

We've given it our best shot. If you think you have a better idea, let us know what you reckon in the comments section below.
