Re: Poll: How Much Will GTA 6 Cost?

OptimusPrime1

Your poll is broken, since it literally excludes the typical game prices ($X9.99) in its options. That is, which of these poll options cover the typical $69.99 price? For that price, some people will choose the "$60 - $69" option and some will choose the "$70 - $79" option, which means the poll will unintentionally split the votes for the same price. Same for $79.99, etc.

Re: Resident Evil Veronica PS5 Remake in Demand with One Million Wishlists

Still amazes me that this website (which is all about PlayStation games) avoids linking to the game's PlayStation store page (which would make it easier for readers to wishlist the game or buy it digitally), even in an article about wishlisting. I wonder how much Amazon is paying the site not to link to PS store, given the various links to Amazon.

Ew, I couldn't care less about anything on that top 8 list or always seeing the same constant list on my home screen. It's a shame the vast majority of gamers don't seem interested in actually high-quality and immersive games/experiences and mindlessly play the same trendy and unoriginal slop for years on end just because they feel they have to play what's "popular". It seems like the gaming industry is locked in a race to the bottom and/or a death spiral if these are the "games" making the most money.

Re: Rumour: PS Portal OLED Version Coming This Year

OptimusPrime1

An OLED (HDR) screen would be the 3rd improvement on my wishlist for a new Portal version, after the addition of a couple of back buttons and significant input latency improvements for Remote Play itself (e.g. 60% or more latency reduction in an optimal local network setup, from the current 50-70 ms down to 20-30 ms latency difference vs playing directly on an OLED TV).

Re: PS Portal Still a Huge Success as Sony Reportedly Preps PS6 Handheld

I ended up returning mine due to better overall experience on a 4K TV, the lack of back buttons being hard to go back to after getting used to DualSense Edge, and the high input latency (especially for games that benefit from quick reactions). That latency comes from Remote Play itself (which Portal relies on) and is due to video encoding latency on the PS5. So, the input latency is still high even if you remove all network latency by connecting the Remote Play client device directly to the PS5 via Ethernet cable without the router in between (not possible with Portal, as that's WiFi-only).

@MrPeanutbutterz To be fair, making any multiplayer trophy a requirement for platinum is essentially paywalling the platinum trophy, since players will need to pay extra for a PS+ subscription to get it for such a single-player game with an optional multiplayer content that needs to be downloaded (aka a DLC). They could have easily put multiplayer trophies into a separate trophy list (just like in Ghost of Tsushima, for example).
