The beginning of the article says Sony has been silent on the PSVR2…hell, Sony is silent period. It’s not just VR news, I think they’ve forgotten the PS5 exists.
@EhronLocke I was speaking for myself and my friends where money isn’t much of an issue.
I bought 3 PS4s, 2 PSVRs, and 2 PS5s for me and my family over the last 10 years. I truly have no idea how much I’ve spent on games.
If I move to PC, Sony will lose out on hardware sales, and a ***** ton of PlayStation store sales that my family and I make. Remember, Sony makes money on ever single purchase made in the PS Store as well including mtxs and dlc. So, if I move to PC they will miss out on me buying Assassin’s Creed for example. My friends are the same way as myself.
Heck, Sony may not care, but they EASILY stand to lose 10000s of thousands of dollars bare minimum just on us with the direction they are pushing us.
@Leonhart I don’t like PlayStation using some of the best talent they have to make PC ports, so, bad news is good news. Naughty Dog should be focusing on making fantastic PS5 games, not PC ports.
I called it a long time ago. There won’t be much of a reason to buy a console in the future and if they have to cater to weaker PCs it’s going to hinder quality going forward as well. Hell, they are already push GaaS too.
I’m absolutely despise the direction PlayStation is headed. These companies are also pushing subscriptions services which will also attribute to the decline of top tier quality as well.
I dread seeing the state of games in 7 years.
This is just absolutely ***** news.
Hell, they already hindered the PS5 for these past few years due to PS4 crossgen and now they are going to make it a permanent path with weaker PCs. We won’t see a true PS5 game until halfway into the PS6’s generation.
@get2sammyb It’s a slightly different subject but I’ve said for a while now, Microsoft will offer many games in a traditional manner but it will get to the point to where they won’t sell them, you will only be able to play them on GamePass at a price of 25$ or higher a month, and when it comes to other competitors like Sony, the only way they will be able to have the games is if they allow GamePass on their consoles. That way they never lied, they’ve offered their games to competitors.
I’ve said for a while now that Microsoft will offer these games in a traditional manner but it will get to the point to where they won’t sell them, you will only be able to play them on a subscription service that’s 25$ or higher a month, and when it comes to other competitors like Sony, the only way they will be able to have the games is if they allow GamePass on their consoles.
@GamerStation257 I’ll not go with a full boycott, but where I live has rental services and I’ll just rent it.
It may not seem like that big of a deal, but I’ve bought every ND game for well over a decade including handhelds, but that stopped with TLoU Remaster Remaster.
@Uromastryx If they change season 2, that will definitely give fuel to those that hate it. They already say it’s garbage and if the show is changed, it’s because HBO recognized it as garbage as well and made changes.
It was okay and probably the worst episode so far. There was one other I really didn’t care for but I can’t remember it. I think it came after Bill’s Town. It’s concerning they only have two episodes left and they are both short on n actual time compared to many of the other. I think 51 and 43 minutes.
I understand it cant be all action but this show has been WAY slower than I ever expected. It also feels like Joel and Ellie haven’t had enough screen time together and they’re relationship pales in comparison to the game’s Joel and Ellie. It felt like Joel was more open to developing a friendship with Ellie in the game in comparison to how cold and withdrawn the tv’s Joel has been.
So far, I’d never want to watch the show again. That sounds harsh. I’ve enjoyed it but it’s looking like a one and done for me.
I played it for a good while. I unlocked all the locations and all the Disney friends that I care about. I don’t care for many modern Disney characters, so I quit.
@Nightcrawler71 I feel like PlayStation mostly goes by the sink or swim outlook on how they handle games and some studio’s. I wish Evolution was still around, I want a modern take of Motorstorm badly.
@Ken_Kaniff I don’t know if I’ve ever disagreed with you lol. I can always count on Ken to say what I’m thinking.
I despise PlayStation’s silence. I despise they hung on to cross-gen so long to the detriment of the PS5. I despise they shut down Evolution and the Japanese studios. I despise it feels like they’re focusing more on taking care of PCs and doing remasters than actually catering to PS5 owners.
So far, the PS5 generation is the worst they’ve ever done. Some people will harp what about HFW, GT7 and GoWR last year? Weren’t they great? Yeah, they were great PS4 games.
With how they love to drag out a generation now, I sure as hell won’t buy the next system so quickly.
@Dr-M Bought the original. Then they released one with HDR pass through, so I bought it and gave the first one to my kids. We own multiple PlayStations and Xbox systems that way we can play everything together.
Im a big fan of VR. I’ve owned multiple PSVRs, and a Quest, but I’m just not hyped to buy a PSVR2 day one. By the time the PSVR came out I felt like the PS4 had actually been utilized and I was excited for the new tech. I don’t feel the same way about the PS5 because a majority of its games are still PS4 games, there’s also a ton of games releasing from Jan-June and I just don’t feel like I’ve got my money’s worth out of the PS5 yet. It just all hinders my hype for it. Though, I plan on getting one around July when the typical game drought sets in.
I may have missed it when I read the article, but there are a lot of people in these comments talking about co-op and monster hunter but this game could easily be another battle royale.
Hell, if they are wanting to push multiplayer, I want a new Uncharted multiplayer more than anything else they possibly can offer. Well, Motorstorm would be great as well. A multiplayer Horizon just doesn’t interest me.
I prefer fantastic singleplayer experiences though.
Unless they tell a brand new story, with new characters in a new location, maybe in a different part of the world I’d rather TLoU be done. I have zero interest in playing as Ellie or Abby again. I won’t buy TLoU3 if it has anything to do with those two. I’d probably rent it though.
I’m still not a fan that TLoU Part 1 exists. I knew this was the purpose along with hoping people would double or triple dip on the same game. I bought it on the PS3 and loved Factions. I’m moved to the PS4 soon after and because my friends and I still played Factions, we double dipped. Fast forward to now, we are always waiting on the next big PlayStation game. I bought Horizon and GoWR day one. I beaten both as well. I realize Forspoken is coming, but I’m waiting on the next first party studio game. Now, getting back to TLoU Part 1 existing. If it didn’t exist, there likely would be a new game somewhat close to release from that other San Diego Studio, and ND’s projects could be further along than what they are,but that’s not the case due to them wasting talent on that remake. That’s why I really hope the rumors that HZD Remake is happening are fake. It already takes longer than it ever has for games to release, and the best devs in the industry wasting their talent on these remakes isn’t making the wait for actual new games any easier.
I feel like the only game Sony has right now to look forward too is Spider-Man 2 and that’s probably not going to release until the end of the year 🫠.
I’ve been a pretty big supporter of VR. I bought 2 PSVRs, and an Oculus headset but I’m not really excited for this. It’s probably due to the games. They don’t excite me enough to purchase one day one. It really doesn’t help that there are a ton of good looking traditional games releasing next year. I may end up buying one around July.
It will be very interesting to see if the negativity of TLoU2 will effect sales. Myself along with a few of my friends all have bought every Naughty Dog game day one for well over a decade but none of us have interest in TLoU3 and have no intention of supporting it.
@Truegamer79 I believe that traditionally from MK9 through the Injustices all the way to MK11 they were releasing games every 2 years, so, they are well past their traditional release at this point.
I bought a PSVR early on and bought a Oculus Rift later on as well. So, I’m a big fan of VR but it m just not that excited for PSVR2. I love the new controllers but having experienced Oculus controllers reduces the excitement for using the new PSVR controllers. Also, I’m not excited for any game they’ve shown.
I have a buddy that wants one day one, to my surprise. Though, he refuses to order one online. He said he wants to buy it in store.
It doesn’t help my excitement for VR that 2023 is loaded with great normal games that I’m looking forward too. I can see myself buying one around July of next year.

Re: Rumour: Sony's Big PS5 Showcase to Take Place in Approximately Two Months
@get2sammyb I’m definitely holding them to my high expectations since they’ve been so quite for so long. The silence annoys the hell out of me.

@lindos I’m not 100% certain, but I believe Steam releases the numbers on the average tech that is used, it’s not high end either.

Re: The Last of Us on PC Attracts 'Mostly Negative' Reviews for Crashes, Poor Performance
I despise Sony not focusing SOLEY on making the absolute best PS5 games, so, this is good news.

Re: Talking Point: Is 2024 Too Soon for PS5 Pro?
They haven’t came close to utilizing the PS5, the fact that a Pro may exist is stupid.
They’ve proven with cross-gen that no one needs to hurry to buy their next tech. Hell, the entire PS5/PS6 generation may be cross-gen.

No attitude intended.
