When it comes to actual high caliber PS5 titles, the wait continues.

Greatness awaits and waits and waits. I’m hearing all these people say stay positive, be patient and PlayStation will deliver are really starting to resemble many Xbox fans that say, next year will be, THE year.

I felt like the biggest loser after watching that show.

Before I even read your article I thought that much of that trailer looked fake. There was too many animations that don’t exist in games like Sekiro, Ghost of Tsushima, Elden Ring and many others.

I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but those animations looked like qte or situational loaded animations. Like hitting square in one instance will do a three strike combo with the sword, but then next time it blends in a kick, it’s based on positioning.

Though, we have seen a few fantastic Chinese games in the last five years and none have released so far. So, keep expectations low.

I dread to see the effect Bungie is going to have on PlayStation.

In 7 years time, they will be in a panic to correct course.

I despise Bungie’s model and knew it would work out badly for us.

Bungie model:

Expensive game with limited content
Season Pass
Battlepass
Expensive Add-in’s
Removes content after you’ve paid for it.
And to go with all that crap, they push a store.

I despise the direction Sony is going.

Take note, Bungie didn’t like ND’s direction.

Bungie is the worst of old and new capitalism all rolled into one.

The big question I haven’t seen publications ask is; Even though these GaaS games have been shutting down rather quickly, are they turning a profit? If so, these companies will not care. They may be heading toward the direction of quick output for a quick cash-in. I’m pretty sure Ubisoft said that Hyperscape was a huge success for them even though they shut it down quickly. The success of these games may not be based on how long they live, but if they can turn a quick profit. If so, these companies will continue throwing crap at the wall.

Sony Bend is the AAA team that released a game longest ago compared to all of the other AAA Sony studios and should have something ready to release very soon based on dev time.

It’s going to be crazy to see almost all of these GaaS Sony games die in the next seven years and then watch Sony scramble to correct course lol.

Im surprised this wasn’t promoted at the PlayStation showcase. It would have matched the quality.

I miss the days of Uncharted, TLoU, Infamous, Resistance, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm, The Puppeteer, Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal. Todays show was so damn aggravating.

Hey, you guys remember a few years back when they said live service wouldn’t effect their singleplayer output? Then, many people said these live service games will only lead to more singleplayer games……. That was all stupid as hell. Who wants to own up to it?

@OrtadragoonX Uncharted could be completely rebooted telling an entirely different story, with different cast, in a different decade or century. I see the Uncharted universe as bigger than Nathan Drake. I see Uncharted like the MCU, Nathan is in its universe, but there are other stories to tell, there are other adventures to be had.

Well, so much for that SSD compression that was bragged about three years ago.

For whatever reason, I’m not really that hyped. I expect to be disappointed. It feels like there is no way they can get me hyped after being quiet for so long. They’ve annoyed me too much over the past 3 years.

I hope I’m wrong though.

I would love an Uncharted game with a brand new everything. Uncharted is bigger than Nathan and his friends and family. It could take place in a different decade or century.

I’d love for Motorstorm to return, even though it would be with a different team. Sony shutting down evolution pissed me off.

I could write a book on what I hope they have at that show and how they’ve dissatisfied me, but it is what it is.

I don’t care about a raise in price because I only purchase games when I really want them.

For example, if the new Dead Space game was 70$, I’m only interested in it on sale. So, they could charge 200$ and it wouldn’t bother me. If 70$ is a deal breaker for you, wait for a sale.

@nyXhc420 I wish I would’ve got it for 40$, I paid 70$. That’s why I remember because it really stood out to me. I remember it being slightly more expensive than other games I bought at that time.

@Realist Im with you. Cinematic’s do NOTHING for me now if there isn’t some gameplay here and there. Most time when I see a new game trailer I immediately skip to the gameplay to see if it’s for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love stories, but I need to see gameplay.

@Blofse It’s always funny to me to see people complain about a 70$ price tag today when I remember buying MK2 for the SNES at Kmart for 69.99$ back in the 90s.

@nomither6 If the project sucked and was in poor condition and wasn’t likely to be improved without bringing in another team and burning more cash, why would they want to do that?

This easily COULD be the best decision but considering you and I DONT know that state of the project, we can’t make an accurate statement.

With that said, there is no reason to bash Sony in this instance since again, you don’t know that state of things.

I always assumed that’s basically what was going to happen according to the ending of the MK11 DLC.

I don’t know why some people would be surprised.

It’s been years since I beat it, but I believe it also alluded to going back in time.

So, I n ver understand all these people begging for characters when if it actually took place during the great Kung Lao era, none of the mains would be present, but this could just be locked to the story mode and regular modes could have some of the traditional favorites.

Looks like I’m still going to wait before I purchase it.

Why can’t it happen in June, or July? Why must it happen in May?

It sounds like he needs to be fired to me. If great games won’t get people to buy into your ecosystem, ***** games sure won’t.

I plan on buying Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and Mortal Kombat 12 all day one.

I bought the PS4 Pro when it released.

They haven’t came close to utilizing the PS5 and there is no way in hell I’ll buy a PS5 Pro unless it’s a fantastic deal.

I guess we’ll see. For years now we’ve heard promises from the entire industry promising this or that and for the most part the games turned out mediocre at best.

Granted, we get some great ones every now and then.

I still stand by say I hope not because either the prices of the subs will have to rise or quality will have to take a hit.

I prefer traditional games with traditional experiences at a traditional price.

I paid 70$ for Mortal Kombat 2 back in the 90s. I have no issue with games being 70$ or higher, BUT, like then, I only buy them if I really think they are worth it. I’d give 100$ for the newest GoW, but I wouldn’t give 50$ for that newest Saints Row.

@KaijuKaiser I specifically looked into the PS5 version and people are reporting that it’s fine, not good, but still has quite a few issues.

I’m just over letting these companies think it’s okay to release a game with the intention of fixing it in the future.

I’m not going to give them their day one week one success sales numbers.

I was going to buy it today, but after all of the bad performance reports I’ve seen I’ll pick it up sometime down the road.

If I could play online for free like it use to be I would drop the sub in a heartbeat.

Considering he was big in the 80s, it’s kinda crazy seeing this exists. I use to watch this with my papaw.

I played Destiny 2 for a few months after release and then quit.

After it went F2P, I hopped back in for a very short time but deleted it soon after.

I’m just not a fan of what’s required to keep up with what’s actually happening in it, and now, things have been removed and if you haven’t followed it closely you will be lost.

I prefer they soft reboot Destiny 3.

@Ken_Kaniff If it’s expected to be a good show, my family and I make time to watch them. As of late, that hasn’t been the case.

I think the last time my family and I got really excited was when Uncharted 4 had its first preview.

@AFCC With Sony deciding to focus on GaaS and PC, it will be a very long time before the PS4 dies.

From here on out, innovation and pushing games forward by utilizing new tech like the PS5 and eventually the PS6 in all regard is out of the picture.

We’ll probably be halfway into the PS6’s life before we see the PS5 tech maxed out.

I’ve caught up on a majority of games I want to play, so, when my sub ran out I went back to the most basic version.

It gonna be hard to keep up with areas you’ve missed.

It’s an awesome artsy experience but a very mediocre game. I actually played it some last night. I hop on from time to time to check out what is most popular.
