Clean your fan, man!

I've hit level 36 and have put in a good number of hours into the game. I personally have not experienced the frame rate issue. But I have experienced the freezing multiple times like @Spectra reported above. I don't have the fan noise issue currently. I did have it before, particular with Spiderman - but I recently cleaned my fan thoroughly and the thing is now dead silent. Should mention I'm running the game on a PS4 Pro so maybe that's why I'm not experiencing the frame rate issue?

Is any one else starting to wonder if THQ is actually Microsoft and they are gathering IPs so as to not fall into the same traps next gen as they did this gen? It just seems sinister enough a plot...

It’s a sad time for sure. And I feel for the Pushsquare staff that have to moderate the comments. It had to be difficult to decide even whether to report the incident here at all. But considering the event it took place at, very understandable. I’m sure all of us are angry and saddened by what’s happened. I know I am.

I hope I can say - I want things to change to help prevent this from happening again in the future. I hope that’s not too political. If it is, I understand the need to delete. Thank you Pushsquare for even hosting this “forum” for us to comment in. Reading others comments about how they too are upset helps me believe there may be hope in our future. Thank you.

Why are you bringing actual factual evidence into an Internet conversation? Don’t you know that if you throw facts in people’s faces they won’t be able to rant hysterically? Where will the outrage find a home?

Did anybody actually watch the end of the fight? It was an ordinary woman who had been corrupted by an Apple of Eden. No different than the effect pieces of Eden have had on past antagonists in the franchise. Oh but wait, that doesn’t make for much of a sensational headline, does it?

I think the title is misleading - you are still going to have to grind something to level up to progress through the story. You won't be able to just follow the main mission story line and ignore everything else. Those other activities - whether they are labeled side quests or not - will still be essential to gaining (sufficient) access to main story missions. To me - a rose by any other name...

Actually, I don't see it. Could you explain it to me?

Unfortunately, I preordered D2 and expansions based on my experience with D1 (I put in close to 3,000 hours - I know). I’ve been utterly disappointed with D2 played through the story once and a few bits after. Haven’t really played it all since.

Looks awesome! So smooth too. Was that (at the least) a solid 60 FPS? Sure looked like it. I don't know if my Pro can handle that....

AC Origins is an easy pick for me. Right up there with Horizon for GOTY IMO.

Meh - they never seem to bother me in AC games. Totally unnecessary for game progress (so far) and I don't think that will be any different this time around. I mean, the game has difficulty settings for the first time. If it's too hard - dial it back and don't buy your way through. How tough is that? Besides - when was the last time an AC game was hard or required late game grinding to complete the story? Oh yeah - never.

Look. I've briefly played the game. I finished the story, have done about 4 strikes and a dozen or so public events. Maybe 14 hours of play time. In that time I accumulated 53 shaders. 53! If you put time into this game you WILL be flush in shaders. No doubt about it.

I'm still undecided on the new system, but it's just not THAT big of a deal. AND I actually prefer being able to shade each item individually - including guns!

Looking froward to the 6th! I won't be waiting for "all" of the content before purchase. I put more hours in to Destiny than any other game I've ever played. For me, it was way more than worth it for the money. Plus destiny was the game that got me to start playing online, and I met a bunch of really great guys that I am now in a clan with.

Yeah - it cost more out of the gate, but I have no regrets. It's very cool anticipating a game's launch with about 20 other people all waiting for it to drop.

Preordered. Very hyped. This looks awesome. As a long time fan, I am looking forward to some refreshing new gameplay and mechanics. Don't know if I will like the changes or not. Only one way to find out!

Well, if you consider the Assassin's are basically a secret society (i.e., cult) with weird induction/initiation rituals, then I think the use of drugs seems right on par with what SHOULD be expected.

I can't comment on GTA as I've never played one. I don't mind it in Far Cry either. It also makes perfect sense whenever I'm fighting the Scarecrow in a Batman game as well.

As for a lazy development crutch? Maybe? I would just ask of each instance - why is this in here? Is it actually relevant to the story or just added for some stupid "cool" factor? For me it's evaluate on a case by case basis. I've played most all of the ACs and don't find an over abundance of that mechanism in them. YMMV

No. Not yet. But when questioned directly about it, Ashraf Ismail said there would be an in game explanation that made sense. My bet is either a dream or hallucination of some type. You may recall the initiation sequence in AC Unity - a drug induced hallucination. So not unprecedented for the series.

I agree with your sentiments on Spider-Man. Looks great - but for me I need to know more about the fighting. I won't enjoy it if it's the Order 1886 level of QTEness.

And since you asked:

FOR ME:
1. AC Origins (I'm a total sucker for this whole series. Unity is one of my favorite games. I know, I know).
2. God of War
3. Anthem
4. Spider-Man

Now, that's at this SHOW. I'm still much more hyped for Destiny 2, Uncharted Lost Legacy and Star Wars Battlefront 2 than those last 3, BUT they didn't do much for me at this particular show.

They said the first planet is bigger than any area Bungie has made in any game previously. Make of that what you will.

On the whole I think it looks fantastic! I am very excited for D2.

I've still seen nothing to convince me there will be naval combat. Traversal - yes. Combat - no. We'll see.

I had no problem paying for the first game piece by piece as each DLC was released. I got to play with my friends each time a new piece of content came out and with over 1800 hrs. into the game, I feel that I have most certainly gotten my moneys worth, regardless!

I'll definitely be pre-ordering Destiny 2. Don't care how little fun vocal minorities had.

I actually like this - as long as people aren't being duped. As someone who went all digital this get, this kind of thing offers me a nice way to have a cool collectible without having to pay for the game twice. Cool.

Seriously though, I am looking forward to #2. And I DO want to start fresh. If they want to "carry over" something, have it be a favorite shader or ship or something cosmetic - nothing affecting gameplay. That would be best, IMO.

You're probably correct but I think anything is possible. Remember a lot of what held them back with the first game was the fact that they also had to be programming for last generation consoles. That impediment will no longer exist going forward. Whether it's a new engine, or a completely revamped engine, I expect there will be a lot of changes regardless.
