Shadow of the Colossus is in the running for the greatest remake ever created, and developer Bluepoint is already busy beavering away on another revival. Speaking with Eurogamer.net’s tech experts Digital Foundry, president and co-owner Marco Thrush admitted that its team is growing to accommodate the scope of its next project.
“We're doing another remake,” Thrush told the site. “Our next step is, let's improve the art pipeline, let's improve the engine, let's improve workflow for artists, let's grow on the art side some more to handle our next project because it's a bit bigger.”
Of course, speculation is already rife regarding what the title in question could actually be. Most people have their fingers crossed for Demon’s Souls, but it could of course be anything – there’s not even any guarantee it’ll be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. “We're really excited about our next project and we think you will be too when you find out what it is,” teased Thrush.

Demon Souls is possible but it sounds like another remake and does Demon Souls really need one, a decent remaster would go down equally as well. Not doing Ico at this point would seem strange since SOTC & TLG are already on PS4.

The problem with a Demons Souls remaster is that it would be very difficult to please long time souls fans, and newer converts.
It's a very good game, but I went back recently and the quality of life improvements from Dark Souls onward set it quite far behind.
That said, if they did implement those improvements it would dilute the experience, and what you're left with is a weaker Dark Souls.
The flipside is that sticking too close to the original Demons Souls would in many ways feel like a step backwards, what with the Dark Souls remaster being available in May.
No matter what they do, it won't please everyone. I'd be sceptical about this until I saw some gameplay.
Demon's Souls doesn't make sense to me personally. Being a PS3 title, it seems a bit too recent to be in real need of a remake. My guess is Metal Gear Solid, but my ultimate wish is Silent Hill 1 or 2.
please do Dino Crisis or Silent hill 1 or 2.. please don't do remake for Demon Soul because i don't play that kind of games including Dark Soul series and Bloodborne

Demon Souls remake will be so interesting, not just the gameplay but from the aesthetic point of view. FromSoftware game graphics/engine and style are all very distinguishable, one look at BB and it’s animation u will immediately recognize it’s by From. Any deviation from their art style and animation physics can easily ruin the game experience, so it will probably be one of Bluepoints most challenging tasks. It will be so interesting to compare a bluepoint Demon Souls remake with Bloodborne. Can’t wait

I think you’ve read way too much into a harmless comment. Would you rather a developer you like make a game you’d love to play or are uninterested in? From purely personal preference.

@hubertuss03 ICO with completely new graphics a real remake /remaster. They made it look better on the PS3 if they would put in the work like the SOTC it would make a difference like night and day. Then again what about Dark Cloud or Syphon Filter. But it should be the Legend of Dragoon i loved that game so much. And I payed so much for a import and it was worth every penny. 😁

@doctommaso exactly my point. People who love these games have different preferences, I may not agree with you but if never tell you that you were wrong. If a remaster of Demons Souls is on the cards, itll be an impossible task to please everyone. I would expect a large margin of difference on metacritic for example.

@Neolit thats what i was thinking. Plus they have an existing relationship with EA as they ported titanfall to the 360 and by all accounts did a great job. Haha but who knows. Never played mass effect, would love to have a go as don't have a console that can play the old ones. Nearly picked up andromeda for £15 second hand as I'm that intrigued but held off due to my backlog and as ive just bought a switch. MGS1 would be pretty good too.

I'll take a guess at it being an open-world game, which would be a huge jump for these guys development-wise. Their job openings suggests something that requires building lots of items and high quality character models with fluid animations.

Rather it wasn't Demon's Souls, the genre is probably one of the strongest in gaming currently for consistent quality output, with the Souls series, Nioh, Bloodbourne et al, we're spoiled enough as it is!
Is there even a small chance bluepoint can do former PC/Xbox exclusives, not sure how licensing for things like Knights of the Old Republic would work?

@PS4fan I think it's at least plausible. It's the only Uncharted game not available on the PS4, Bluepoint has worked on the original trilogy's remaster and the fans have been asking for a console remaster/remake of Golden Abyss since the launch of the Vita version
