PlayStation Toys

Sony has entered a partnership with toy making company Spin Master, which is promising a range of PlayStation-based mechandise. Popular properties like God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Horizon are all being targeted, with action figures, collectibles, playsets, plushes, puzzles, and more in the pipeline.

Spin Master has been around since the 1990s, and these days it primarily deals in making toys based on children's TV shows, like PAW Patrol, Bakugan, and Dragons. It's fair to say that the Canadian-based company is looking to expand its portfolio.

"We are committed to creating the highest quality gameplay experiences for our community of global fans and finding new ways to bring our most beloved characters to new audiences. Working along with Spin Master, we are excited to continue our reach in presenting our gaming IP through authentic and innovative toys and games to our passionate PlayStation community around the world," says Sony's Grace Chen.

Of course, this deal fits neatly with Sony's continued push to make PlayStation a brand that goes beyond video games. A major focus is transforming its biggest properties into household names, whether it's through TV adaptations or merchandising partnerships like this.
