There is talent at NIS, but I wish they'd make fewer games and concentrate on one really good one

@Dloki it is a big deal. It's the principle. 1. Nobody wants advertisements in their purchased games. 2. They've updated a 4 year old game with an advertisement for the already best-selling game of 2023.

Also, like every scummy practice in gaming you can expect to see more of it if people don't push back.

People have been hating on Horizon for the past year and a half anyway so it's just the same old at this point.

@Hydra_Spectre I disagree with Illumination being anything other than a mediocre-at-best studio. They make shallow, colourful movies for very young children and the Mario movie didn't change that. A far cry from Pixar quality, even at their worst

The pixel art looks awesome to me. Also the first game was supported with really good updates. Will definitely keep an eye on this one

I enjoyed the PSP remake a lot, I played it on the Vita a few years ago. As far as I know it's the DS remake but with a bunch of quality-of-life improvements. I highly recommend it.

It's insane what Media Molecule were able to make on a technical level. But at the end of the day I just wanted to play levels rather than make them, and I think a lot of other people felt the same way

Might be something to do with that free-to-play mobile game. Wouldn't surprise me if old Persona characters were part of the gacha elements

This is actually quite a good little game, I completed it a while back. Some of the trophies were a bit buggy though so if you care about that stuff I'd advise making a few separate saves 👍

As for not out-selling Elden Ring, you mean the biggest selling game of 2022 that sold 20 million plus across 5 platforms? Yeah, probably not. But why does that matter?

I was hoping for a Crash Bash/Mario Party kind of party game.

Game looks awesome but I'm a bit burnt out on the Soulsborne/brutally hard genre. I'm sure I'll love it when I finally get round to it, however right now I'm in a very rare "let's just put this on easy mode" phase 😆

Sony should have taken better care of this launch, even if its a niche title. But at least they've been quick to patch it, unlike Square Enix with Chrono Cross

I think Larian are one of the best developers in the industry right now, they've been quietly making top-tier games for a while. Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 are the best in the genre in my opinion.

If you're interested in the PS1 classics some of them can be had for cheaper if you buy them on PS3/Vita. Wild Arms 1 is £3.99 on PS3/Vita and £7.99 on PS4, for example

Not a chance I'm buying this at £70 when Monster Hunter Rise launched a month ago at £32.99. I also watched some gameplay and was a bit underwhelmed, it comes across quite low-budget.

I welcome more games in the genre. They don't need to be as good as Monster Hunter to be worthwhile, but I'm not sure on this one

It'd be a mistake not to, especially as this is one of the more requested PS1 games. Excited to play it as we never got the game digitally in EU for whatever reason

Nice, I'm rooting for this game. I love Monster Hunter but there's definitely room for more in the genre

Tomb Raider is a mixed bag these days so I think a new Uncharted with Drake's daughter would be pretty cool

I recently got back into Monster Hunter World, it's a great game that still looks incredible, I just wish the multiplayer was as simple as previous entries.

I'm also playing Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Gamecube, which I am ashamed to say I've never completed.

I feel like most people expected this. The game has some really cool looking enemies but I just can't get over the dialogue, so I'll probably skip it

@The_Pixel_King I recommend experimenting with builds and trying out the weapons and spells you find along the way. All the classes are viable so just pick what you think is cool. Elden Ring has more customization options than any other Souls game, there are "better" weapons, like all action-RPG's, but it's more fun to figure it out yourself in my opinion.

I will say that the health stat (Vigor) is very important, as enemies hit like a truck in this game.

I kind of lost interest with it, but I'll definitely complete it one day. I disagree with those who consider it From Software's best work, but its yet another good game in their catalogue.
