Give it another 6 months - 1 year and this will be one of those games that everyone claims is an "underrated gem". Glad to hear it did well, although I wouldn't say no to a Nioh 3.

Is the 3 months timed exclusivity of Stalker 2 not considered "slimy", Phil? This is just another way for MS to try and brand themselves as the good guys for buying the industry's biggest publisher.

I thought this was a spin-off. I'm a bit sad about this as it looks like they've gone the wacky fortnite/marvel route.

I think it's smart and this move will probably pay off for them

@JPEGMakima it's not really "I won't enjoy this anymore" unless you're the top 1% of trophy hunters that literally play anything and everything for trophies. Its more of a case of "I like trophies, why does one of the biggest releases of the year not have any?". There is no reason to not add them when those who like them can collect them, and those who don't can ignore them 🤷‍♂️

@JPEGMakima Plenty of people. There are entire communities like PStrophies and PSNprofiles dedicated to it. No reason to alienate them when adding trophies is so easy

People will scoff at those who like trophies like they usually do, but this is actually crazy. What an odd choice. They're throwing potential sales away for no reason.

@Mintie it's brutal so far but it's kind of nice having to re-build my party rather than brute forcing my way through. The game + all DLC was £3.50 on the most recent sale which is just crazy good value even with the games faults

I picked up the Dragon Age Inquisition DLC in the sale because I've been eying it up for years. So far it's kicking my ass but it's fun and I'm determined to beat it. Also I'm considering starting Key of Heaven, which is an obscure PSP action-RPG and Sonic Colours on DS. So quite a random bunch of games for me again 😅

I'm in a very rare "story game" mood, so I finally got round to starting the 4th season of The Walking Dead. I forgot how good these games actually are. I also picked up The Last Campfire for dirt cheap in the PSN sale and have been enjoying that too. Enjoy your weekends everyone 👍

I asked for a platformer and that's what I got. An amazing looking one, too. I can't complain really

I'm not the target audience for this, I like to play actual games, not "services". But the truth is for like the past 8 years everyone has been chasing the live-service jackpot. Games like this are a dime-a-dozen and they all start to blend together. The actual core-gameplay doesn't look too bad to be fair, at least Sony were smart enough to not make a battle royale 😆

I didn't think it was so bad. Astro Bot looked awesome and there were a couple of Eastern action games (Japanese/Korean?) that I think looked really fun

Dragon Age Inquisition GOTY edition is £3.49. Quite an old game but still fun and includes all the DLC.

@TripleKing333 that sucks. Can't see why it couldn't be all on one disc or just put it on a 2nd. Capcom have been garbage with their physical releases recently, RE4 Gold Edition DLC is a code and the main game isn't even the latest update.

I still boot up the Wonderbook every now again and play Book of Spells with my niece. RIP London Studio

Really quite a rubbish month all round in my opinion. Could have done with another gem like Animal Well to bolster the line-up

@Zuljaras if you've got a Vita you can get the Dracula X Chronicles for like £8 (digitally). Totally worth it. It was ported to PS4 but they removed the actual PSP remake 😑

@Zuljaras you can't go wrong with any of the GBA/DS Castlevania games, they're all great. Also the Dracula X Chronicles on PSP has an excellent remake of Rondo of Blood, a great port of SoTN and a port of the original Rondo of Blood. The PS2 games aren't bad either

I'll be finishing up my professional playthrough of RE4 (original) on PS4. Lost track of the amount of times I've replayed this game, it's a classic for sure.

Other than that I've been eying up Ys VIII, which I played but never got too far. I want to give it a proper chance because I'm sure it's good.

God of War 3 is my fave. Just an excellent action game that constantly throws awesome set pieces and bosses at the player.

I watched some footage of this game on twitch and its very bizarre. Kinda like if Wes Anderson made Resident Evil Village.

@bowzoid True, I've always thought this. I remember when people were raving about games like Persona 4, 5 and Reload coming to Gamepass. But they're like 100+ hour games each, at what point is it better value to just buy one of them?

I think there might come a time when I just play retro games going forward. Modern gaming is so cynical sometimes it's exhausting

Nice. There's been a lot of PS1 resi inspired horror games but very few are good. This one looks like the best one yet.

@Zuljaras The 3DS version is the best way to play Ocarina of time in my opinion. I really enjoyed it a while ago (but never finished it, I'm ashamed to say)

@Yorozayu No. They were promised "uncensored", and that is not what they got. You can spin it however you want, censorship is bad and we should let adults make their own decisions.
