And why couldn't this be available at launch? Sony has been riding the series hard as far as inclusion on Premium goes - I assume they plan months and months ahead, so to release this past launch window - when most die-hards will have finished the game - is disappointing.

Ended up pretty much Platinum'ing Battlefield three times.... just some cleaning up left to do. Won't ever bother with the other two, but this has been a terrific month for me.

Credit for the effort put into the tiles, some different sizes among the lot. Lack of a Plat is surprising, I can't recall a single instance where one was added to an existing Trophy list that lacked it.

Same issue as with Saints Row; promise and/or sell a season pass before release, then be held to it when the game flops badly. I appreciate that a lot of planning and resourcing goes into DLC, which are still massive projects even if smaller than a main game, but it's still unfortunate.

Did they sell a season pass before release that promised this content and thus makes them legally responsible for delivering it (or issue refunds)? If yes, I wonder whether they're now regretting committing to it.

The Ezio games were drab and repetitive, as were the games that followed the trilogy up until Origins. Mind, it didn't get better after - Odyssey and Valhallah were different but not exactly great in my mind.

Given that the last 'old-style' game - Syndicate - came out seven-and-a-half years ago, I question whether people A. haven't just moved and B. whether the old formula will still hold up anno 2023.

@get2sammyb I'm 99% sure Sony actually no longer allows for discounts on the PS3 and Vita storefronts. Supposedly permanent price drops are still okay but no publisher bothers.

Just 19? The Madden Trophy lists have become heavily truncated as well - they used to have 40 Trophies but Madden 22 (on PS4) went as low as 17. They just can't be bothered but perhaps it's for the best.

We should re-normalize and expect any given Platinum to involve 100% completion or an otherwise equivalent metric; Plats should reward dedication and skill.

I am nuts. I am playing the PS4/EU and PS5 stacks of Battlefield 2042 for the Plats on both, and I took out a month of PS Plus Essential on my American dummy account to then also play the PS4/NA stack. Doing stuff three times over.

I'm a Yakuza 5 apologist. Maybe it's the trauma of having spent years praying for it to come over to the West. Five cities in one game, including three new ones? Plus a snowy mountain village? Come now, how could I resist? Yakuza 0 is a solid 2nd best. Everything else got an 8 or 9.

Couldn't bear scoring any of these lower than an 8. Please add Dead Souls though, it is ultimately part of the series - if Ishin and the Judgments are there, you can't exclude Dead Souls.

Glad to see all the LADs have been buying Ishin, 8th on this chart really isn't that bad for a semi-budget remaster/remake of a ten year old game.

@ErrantRob Leave it for until it inevitably comes to one of the PS Plus tiers somewhere in 2024. If they still haven't fixed the many glitched Trophies, just skip it entirely.

@thefourfoldroot1 I've played the series in release order starting from 3 back in 2010, but broke the sequence to play Judgment and LAD before Kiwami 2. Looking to get back on track and go K2 -> LJ -> Ishin Kiwami -> Gaiden -> 8 -> Kiwami 3 (PLEASE).

I also own Kenzan, but no Trophies to be had there.

FoTNS I don't really consider part of the series (although I acknowledge that that is simply my personal bias), and I can't see myself tucking into it unless RGG stops releasing games on Playstation/PC.

@Pepsiman_100 Trophies, orginally at least, were meant to serve as rewards for beating tough challenges, and badges of honour to be worn by those who were up for it.

As such, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for 100% completion of a game in return for the Plat, even if some minigames and most Ultimate Challenges can be infuriating. The Yakuza games are tough in many different ways, but they're hardly on the level of, say, Super Meat Boy.

@stBoa I am certain it does not register based on Trophies - I had no problem registering Yakuza 6 and others despite having their respective Platinum Trophies, while others registered after I had deleted the Trophy list the moment I opened the game.

Probably best to put it down to Sony's wonky infrastructure.

Hogwarts Legacy is a fine-looking game and if it was on PS+ I'd likely be giving it a go right now. EDIT: kek, comment I was quoting was removed.

Annoying that so little effort is put into the Trophies now - the first Syphon Filter actually had a few misc./missable ones, but 2 and 3 did not. At least we are getting them, I guess....

Sony needs just one of these projects to succeed. At that point the rest can flop and they'll be painless write-offs. And they will, as the live service space is already overcrowded as is. At this scale, chasing that 'next Fortnite' is worth throwing all kinds of projects to the wall to see what sticks.

Personally, hoping to see a new Killzone. If only so I can enjoy it for six months before the plug is pulled.

Technically I'm in that group; I subsisted on my Vita and Steam until the PS5 came along. That being said, I did play four games on other people's PS4s, so there's no telling whether Sony counts me as part of the 'new' player group.

Currently missing the 'Feel The Love' campaign for February, which, by the by, seems to have the tracker for one of the games glitched. I can boot up Life is Strange all I want but it won't register.

Excited to be playing as John Yakuza in the Samurai era.

I know Stardust isfirst party, but are the other two as well? Star Wars: Demolition needs a Plat, I've had a lot of fun revisiting it and a Plat sould make me go back yet again.

Honestly, that single game is so nostalgic it has made the past few months of subbing to Premium worth it.

Is the original a good game? I've been asked to gift this to someone but need to do my due diligence and make sure it's not a crock of ****.

The economy/business-based minigames are my some of my favourite parts of Like A Dragon games, so no complaints from me on this one.
