I had a long train ride ahead of me, so I actually watched the 40-minute video (documentary, really) that the article mentions. Very informative and well put together.
I've got enough self-control not to sink money into these derivative arena fighter games, but man does stuff like playable Maki test that self-control. She's so cool.
I wonder if "currently investigating" ever means something other than a bunch of executives running in circles muttering "oh crap, oh crap". It's not like they're going to avoid any of this stuff being sold or leaked.
Honestly, what little curiosity I had left for the project died back when we heard that Bungie sent them back to the drawing board. At this point it doesn't even matter to me if it ever comes out or not.
I'll just look up the art online if I ever get curious, so on a personal level I can't even pretend to care about the update.
Still silly to exclude two of their platforms, though. Switch especially so, because I bet Cuphead sold very well there. Honestly feels more like a Microsoft move than an MDHR one, but again, the content's largely irrelevant anyway.
Public Phil: "What a fierce leader you have been Jimmy, thank you for all the memories, xoxo."
Internal Email Phil: "Hee hee heeh, finally that blasted hindrance is out of the way, now our Industry Consolidation Plan™ shall move forward all the more smoothly. Also let's try and purchase Nintendo again next month or so."
I doubt I'll bother (never did on PS4), but nice to have for those who care, I guess?
The real update the PS Store needs is a feature to hide/ignore games you don't want to see anymore. So tired of wading through the same walls of shovelware and the like every time I browse a sale.
It was only a matter of time for Callisto. There's a pricey Season Pass for all the DLC, so I won't be playing the base game just yet - but I'll gladly claim it for later.
Looking forward to knowing what that third game is, but if the monthly pattern so far is anything to go by... probably an MP game I have no interest in.
"rather than acquiring an outside company, we prefer organic growth. It is important to train and develop human resources in-house in order to carry out growth strategies"
That's fine by me. Mainly because I never had them in my battle party anyway, but also because with all the other characters I've got enough movesets to get through and properly learn. I expect to mostly swap between Yuffie, Tifa and Cloud, though.
I'm sure these two will get their due attention when they round out the trilogy with Final Fantasy 7: Refreshed & Rehydrated.
That bit about Kiryu being able to just step out of the turn-based gameplay and kick ass in real time is the best thing I've ever read. Hope it'll work nicely!
Hey, just wanted to know the official source you guys got the $9.99 info from, as I can't seem to find it anywhere. Tried Capcom's website, the PS and Steam stores and so on.
I only want to make sure the price is accurate. If so, that's a pretty reasonable amount for what will probably be a rather short campaign.
Eh, truth be told I'm more interested in third party games at this point anyway. When it comes to PS Studios the only thing that'd get me really excited would be a second Tsushima game.
Hopefully some news on Stellar Blade at long last? Maybe Rise of the Ronin while we're at it. I'll keep my expectations low, at any rate.
I'll probably buy it at some point in the near future (very interested), just too many games already on my plate to justify a full price purchase right now.
I redeemed them for what it's worth, but I don't think I'll ever play them. Generation Zero is the likeliest for me to pick up I guess, but it's like comparing a 1% chance to a 0.1%.
I'm rolling credits for the first time as I read the article and write this, coincidentally enough. This has been a very enjoyable little game so far, so I'll be there when that DLC drops.
Different consoles and different companies behind them is preferable to avoid a monopoly, which ends up hurting everyone other than a handful of executives and shareholders.
The death of exclusives is what would really benefit both players and devs.
There will probably be an update on Shadow of the Erdtree, I imagine. As for PS-specific stuff, I'd like to see Stellar Blade once and for all, but that's a long shot.
I don't really care to be honest, I typically have my phone close at hand while I'm on my PS5 anyway. And PS Stars is something I only use about twice a month (if that), just to get some points for opening a game or two.
For $50 (and I assume 50€ in my case) that's gonna be a pass. Make it 20€ in the future and I'll bite, as I do want to play RDR1 at some point - but I'm not paying nearly full price for a straight port of a 13-year-old game.
I don't get why people can't just naturally realize that, like any other developer, From Software can and does make different types of games.
Did anyone back in the day need a PSA that Naughty Dog's Uncharted wasn't a 3D platforming collectathon like Crash or Jak & Daxter? Let alone a thousand PSAs?

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2023?
Yeah, the Extra games are fine. I'll play Disco Elysium and Alien Isolation at the very least, maybe more.
Eldest Souls is a neat game too, but I already completed that one.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 498
I 100%'d Cuphead yesterday, so I'm back to playing Jedi Fallen Order.
Re: Rumour: PS5's Early 2024 Release Schedule May Get Even More Ridiculous Thanks to Elden Ring
Depending on the day, I might not get it Day 1 - chances are I'll still be playing Like a Dragon 8.
Then there's Rebirth on Feb 29th, so I'd need to do Shadow of the Erdtree before that day... but that sounds doable enough.

Re: Poll: How's Your Hype for Marvel's Spider-Man 2?
I'll wait for a sale, but I have little doubt that it'll be a very good game.
As for the second question, I did 100% the first game, as well as Miles Morales.
Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster Seems to Be Real
Evidently, this is all Naughty Dog has been reduced to.

Honestly, what little curiosity I had left for the project died back when we heard that Bungie sent them back to the drawing board. At this point it doesn't even matter to me if it ever comes out or not.
Major waste of dev hours if not, though.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for October 2023?
I guess I wanted to check out The Callisto Protocol at some point, so I'll gladly add it to my library for later.

Oh man, we're just going from bad to worse, ain't we. At least he's only an interim CEO.

Critical hit.

I'm getting Infinite Wealth in January and Rebirth in February. Feels stacked enough already with just those two games, can't imagine taking on more.

Re: Rumour: Six PS Plus Extra Games Leaked Ahead of September Announcement
Sweeeeet. I'll play 13 Sentinels for certain, I've had my eye on it for a while.

I'm waiting for Crash & Burn Guys.

Great game, one of my favorite puzzlers.
Re: Round Up: Baldur's Gate 3 Reviews Rate It as One of the Best RPGs Ever Made
With 30+ reviews, that 97% is looking a lot more solid than it previously did. Way to go, dev team.
I might end up playing this at some point after all, never found the opportunity to try out CRPGs and this sounds like the perfect introduction.
Re: PS Store Reloads with Almost 2,000 PS5, PS4 Deals
Chaos;Child back on sale just in time, I finished Chaos;Head like a couple days ago. Already bought that, looking forward to it.
There's a few more things for cheap that I'm eyeing, but these discounts last until the end of the month, so no need to rush.

Re: Lollipop Chainsaw's Remake Pops Off in 2024
Never got to play this one, kind of curious about it.
Re: 17 New PS Plus Extra, Premium Games Revealed for Huge Update Next Week
I'll play Sea of Stars for sure.
Midnight Fight Express looks fun, I was always kinda curious about that game. Might also try out some other stuff on the list, like Source of Madness.
Lost Judgment is awesome but I already 100%'d it. Great new catalogue title for people working through the series, though.
Re: Street Fighter 6 Under Fire for Ridiculous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC Pricing
I'd much rather buy four pet turtles and tons of pizza with that amount of money.
