Coding sure is getting complex, now bugs in the program create accidentally written monetization schemes all on their own! We truly live in the future.
I fully completed the Switch version back when it launched so I don't think I'd double dip now, but maybe in a few more years I'll get the itch to replay it. It is a really good game, after all.
Wouldn't say I'm hyped, but I do expect at least one thing or two I care about to be shown, and as far as I'm concerned that's enough for the presentation to be worth it.
(No way I'll be actively watching during those two hours, though.)
I completed the first game and its DLC just a couple days ago (loved it), so this would be good timing for me. While I definitely could use a small break to un-fry my brain after that puzzle marathon (seriously, I dreamt of blue & red lasers today) I'm honestly itching to jump into the sequel.
To be honest, I'd rather hear more about games coming either this year or the next than get a bunch of premature announcements for stuff that'll come out who knows when.
It's no skin off my back to have the stream open in the background while playing, and unmuting it when/if something interesting shows up.
The Series S always sounded like a terrible idea to me. Seeing yet another example of an upcoming game being held back and downsized due to that system only validates my opinion further.
It's too bad that Jujutsu Kaisen's first videogame outing on consoles went so poorly. Now the next attempt is even less likely to get the funding and dev time necessary to dish out a good game, like a negative feedback loop.
There are several really cool boss fights in this game that I'd love to replay a lot and get better at... without having to get through the entire game every time I want to redo them. So wish granted as far as I'm concerned.
New outfits are also a decent plus, I'll try to unlock the one rewarded by the new mode, shouldn't be too bad if you only have to beat the bosses on Normal.
It's a game I definitely want to play at some point, but I can patiently wait for an eventual port. Seems almost inevitable given Xbox's impending collapse as a first party.
An improvement, if a minor one. "Business Unit" is not the kind of term I like seeing associated to devs who actually create good games. Sounds more like something used to describe a group of bean counters.
I just find it absolutely hilarious that the PlayStation Blog article title cites Crime Boss, of all things, as one of the highlights. That's how you know this month's going to be a stinker even before reading the full list.
Multiplatform is better for game companies and players both, when it comes to big franchises the funds provided by a single platform holder hardly make up for being able to sell their games to up to 4 different, big playerbases.
If they're including spin-off titles in that, and have enough staff/teams to handle them, I don't see why not.
I'm not keeping count, but it already feels like there are Persona releases fairly often anyway. P3 Reload came out a few months ago, P5 Tactica came out last November, before that there was that remaster for the Persona fighting game as well as Persona 5 going multiplatform + getting a PS5 version, etc.
Microsoft really looked at the one and only team creating interesting works for their paltry portfolio and said "hmm, it doesn't make us millions though, what's the point?"
Yet another step towards total creative bankruptcy.
What a slap in the face to Tango developers after dishing out a hit like Hi-Fi Rush. Microsoft has just gotten rid of one of the very few teams under their wing whose releases I was interested in.
Great news. I'm interested in everything by Kodaka or Too Kyo Games, but I'd much rather play their stuff on my currently active system than dust off my Switch. I'll be getting it.
I wouldn't change FFXVI, Rebirth and Stellar Blade for anything that PlayStation Studios are likely to produce. So as far as I'm concerned they more than made up for it.
Quite enjoyed The Rising Tide myself. The new area is beautiful, the Motes of Water are an interesting and pleasant people (stark contrast to Valisthea in general), the boss battles were pretty great, and the sidequests mostly worked for me as they either expanded upon the lore of the tribe or the surrounding fauna.
All that's left to do today is the Kairos Gate mode, which I'm looking forward to.
The tweet specifically mentioning the Japanese version implies that this is about addressing violence/gore censorship more so than about sexual content.
I definitely expected Japan to get some level of gore censorship after I saw that chopped off arm in the first section of the game, given how strict their guidelines are for this kind of stuff in games. On the other hand Japan has zero issue with just having characters wearing skimpy outfits, so this is obviously not about that.
@colonelkilgore Ironically, this quest worked just fine at release, then they botched it in a subsequent patch somehow. I and many others got the platinum weeks ago because we cleared the quest before they did.
Funny how they're now pretending their own, far bigger clusterf*ck never happened and that they're still in a position to farm goodwill from a high horse with these kinds of statements.
You're down in the gutter just like everyone else, CDPR. You've proved that extensively.
To be honest I could see myself getting one month of GTA+ just to 100% this one game. After all, my intention was to buy it once it was going for 20€ (which still seems a way off), and a monthly subscription costs 6€.
Something to consider in the near future I guess - plenty more on my plate right now.
@breakneck Because successful doesn't equal evergreen. Sales slow down after the initial launch window for most games and a discount always helps flatten the curve.

Re: PS Stars Program Seems to Be Offline as Mobile Icon Disappears
I bought a game soon after the issues began, so I just hope that after the problem is resolved I won't have to contact support to claim the points.

Re: Surprise! Live-Action Like a Dragon: Yakuza Punches Amazon Prime This October
For the sake of this series I love, I hope the live-action will be successful, but on a personal level I don't have high expectations for it.

It's a good thing you need to manually 'Start' these objectives in the PS Stars list. That means I won't earn this abomination even by accident.
