@PuppetMaster Do you actually enjoy playing video games? Or just enjoy collecting games? Denying myself a great game just because it's digital only, makes no sense to me.

While Valhalla was a massive game with fantastic graphics, I found it boring. My least favorite AC game.

@Rezium I don't know a single person from family, friends or work that still buys DVDs. I think that I myself bought one last over 15 years ago. I actually got rid of 95% of my DVD/Blu-ray collection. But apparently they still release those, my bad.

Wasn't there backlash when music and movies went digital? Yet, everyone accepted those eventually. This is on the same path to that acceptance

Thinking that once you subtract Game Pass downloads from that total, not many people bought it on Xbox as well. I am waiting for a bigger sale to purchase it. Too many games to play right now and then there's is that new GTA6

@RadioHedgeFund I am for digital games, and I agree that laws should be introduced to eliminate delisting of games and improve copyright restrictions/deals.

Sony should have a mega sale that week with discount prices not seen in years. That would test the will of the protesters.

PC games are usually much cheaper than the console versions. Less money for Sega to make but I am sure that they will figure it out. I will stick with consoles for now. See what happens with digital only consoles.

It shows that this small percentage of gamers is very vocal on sites like this one but doesn't represent the majority of gamers. You should see the gamers on Nintendolife complaining about key cards.

You all are complaining now, but we all know that many of you will still buy it. People complained about music and movies and talked about not buying intodigital, yet many of you have no problem with using services like Netflix or Spotify.

And does the digital copy owner have to pay more for the digital copy, just so a physical copy can be released to the 15% that still buy them?

Clearly this website has been overtaken by 15% physical media owners with the comments as this is not representative of the 85% like me.

With some exceptions for games like Call of Duty, a small number of PC gamers buy games at full price. Many wait for deep discounts before buying a game. A fully priced Sony game is not going to sell.

If you are doing co-op from same console on same screen, you should not have to pay. But I could see it differently if you are somehow using 2 different consoles or screens.

I am happy with my PS5, not in a rush to get PS6 anytime soon. I think it will depend on what Microsoft decides on their next console Helix. Sony would not want to lose potential gamers to Xbox

I own too many games. At this point I wait for discounts even for Sony's first party games. I never buy day 1 releases. I am just now playing Wolfenstein 2 for the first time. I am very interested in Microsoft games but will wait for a discount.

I was actually looking forward to playing this on PS5. Xbox One was my last Xbox, so it would have been nice to play to revisit the series. I feel bad for Microsoft right now, because it feels like they might be going the Sega trajectory back in the day.

PS5 is still getting the game, that is all that matters. Sony shouldn't be angry as Microsoft doesn't seem to have a clear direction these days.

I don't like AI but I feel like I have no choice here. I am not going to stop buying games.

I feel like this had better announcements than State of Play. State of Play did have the God of War announcement but this show was better.

I would love a collection of old Wolverine games. I know different 3rd parties made those and there is the licensing issue. But would love to see them return

This is a huge monetary waste for Sony to make this 48 hour early access deal.

I am looking forward to Wolverine and the female GOW looks interesting. That and Stuntman were games that I was not aware of. Many of the games, were already announced before. Maybe I am spoiled, but was hoping for a couple more announcements for previously unknown games.

Looking forward to the Story 3 remaster based on the best version (PS3) of that game

@8th_Observer in my mind, there are consoles and there's PC. Two different realms. I know that many disagree, but I only play games on consoles.

Surprised to see this version come to Switch 2. Sony only managed to have the below average Declassified on Vita back in the day. Great time to be a Switch 2 and PS Portal owner.

I used to buy games every week on PSN, especially with some of the deep discounts that PSN used to have. I also bought newer games. I have not bought a game since last November. Granted, I have been distracted by Switch 2. For PS5 (and Portal), I do have Essential PS plus games to play and have been working on my backlog. But this year, that will change with Wolverine and GTA6. Hoping that Sony will have some special reveals for surprise games that I have not heard about. I feel like they have been coasting lately. I think my buying habits will hopefully change this year (and in 2027) starting with Wolverine, GTA6 and other games.

@get2sammyb I agree with you on that. They went for the hardcore player audience with Returnal, and not for players like me who play games on easy or medium difficulty. Even if they did make it easier for Saros, it is still is too much associated to Returnal. And now in addition, they may have lost that audience that loves unforgiving games in difficulty.

I didn't get Returnal due to the difficulty and progression issues. Saros seemed more of the same. And with higher prices, I am less likely to take a chance on a game like that.

Wish list: New Jak and Daxter, Infamous 1 and 2 Remakes, and brand new Infamous with Cole returning. Highly unlikely but one can dream.
