Bethesda has today confirmed it has remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas in active development. As part of a long social media post detailing the developer's future, it said:
We also know many players want to revisit previous Fallout experiences. While we're not announcing any dates today, we have been working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Rumours surrounding potential remasters of the two RPGs from the PS3 generation have been floating around for quite a while now — they're all now official.
Virtuos worked with Bethesda when it brought back Oblivion on PS5 last year, but whether these are in-house projects or are being led by an external developer isn't confirmed yet. We now also know Obsidian is officially creating a new Fallout game, as part of today's updates.
