How many Final Fantasy characters do we think appear in it? I reckon zero.

I mean it's the comment section of a YouTube video. Anyone that's been to one before will know exactly what kind of "intelligent" responses are to be found, regardless of whether there is a controversy or not. It's home to the lowest common dominator because it's so easily accessible.

My backlog is almost 100 games deep. I'm happy to work through that for the foreseeable future.

Also I owned a PC years ago and was left frustrated with having to check specs on a new game each time it came out just to see if it would run.

@KawakiisaFraud Gotta wonder if that is all part of the plan. Drop a bombshell like this, then roll back on it only to increase physical prices and then come out with the "we hear you" statement to make fans feel that their protesting has made a difference.

Outside of PS Plus, I haven't seen any mention of games being time-limited once they are purchased.

Sony will simply shrug their shoulders to the negative reaction. They know the temptation to buy and play videos games will be too much for the majority of its current consumers.

@DennisReynolds I made a mistake of going on the Arc Raiders subreddit. Same nonsense there as well. I just left it and enjoyed the game more as a result.

Moral of the story, don't buy on launch. Just wait for the issues to be identified by other gamers (testers?) first and then once it's all patched you're good to go!

Those Forbes and Vice reviews just look plain lazy and paid for. I'm not really surprised that a company known for creating an MMO would struggle with a single player game.

Final Fantasy VII Restart, as in they'll restart making FF7 games after this is finished cause the series still makes them more money than their other titles. No way this is the end.

Wonder will there be a spiritual successor somewhere down the line. Hacking and AI being very prevalent these days I'd be surprised if someone else doesn't try something similar.

I get that AI has its problems and probably needs to be regulated more, but this kind of stuff is just histrionics. AI will become the norm and this kind of news won't mean anything to anyone.

Does quality of life also mean there's an option to turn off the characters shouting their move names each time they use them? Cause that got annoying real fast.

When has anyone ever bought a Battlefield game for the single-player? Multiplayer has always been where it's at.

I've played 36 hours and haven't noticed anything.

Most modern tv shows only remain great for about 2 or 3 seasons before they fizzle out. Doubt this makes it to 6.

I've played so many other games in-between 5 and 6 that it doesn't bother me at all. I'll wait and see what the reviews are like and maybe get it on sale.

My own assumption about the combat is that it'll be closer to what Skyrim had. Doubt we get anything better than that if it's a remake/remaster.

So in other words it's almost like a "film" mode. Kojima loves his cutscenes.

I still can't grasp the reasoning for trying to buff or nerf a character in a fighting game. Years ago a game would just come out and, for better or worse, the devs would just leave it be and move on to something else.

Wonder how they'd do a remake. Would it retain similar character designs or would they make it look more like FF7R? Also FF7Rs larger story is different, almost a quasi-sequal of sorts, so would an FF9 remake be the same?

Ok but can I ask why a fighting game even has seasons?
