Void Interactive's hardcore FPS Ready or Not continues to go from strength to strength on consoles, as it's been shared the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have now sold a total of two million units since launch on 15th July 2025.
The team's CEO, Julio Rodriguez, posted the sales update on LinkedIn, where he thanked console players for "showing up, playing hard, and bringing order to chaos". He then turned to his studio and thanked employees for "building what we believe is the quintessential tactical FPS of our era — and to our friends and partners for helping us bring RON to console". Rodriguez then teases there are "more updates and content" to come.
This is the second Ready or Not sales update we've received in as many weeks, with the one million sales milestone confirmed six days after the PS5, Xbox Series X|S launch. Now the console port sits at two million purchases, with overall sales including the original PC version totalling over 11 million.
We published our Ready or Not PS5 review last week, awarding it an 8/10 rating and sharing praise for its tactical gameplay and varied mission design. We concluded by calling it "one of the most immersive co-op experiences available on PS5 right now".

Brilliant news for them. I have been loving the game playing with my son and friend. Shows people want to play this type of tactical immersive game. Single or coop its a great experience,
This is awsome news. Such an amazing game but i was worried that the "sim" nature of it would turn alot of folk off. Its the type of tactical shooter ive been waiting years for. Congrats to the team for bringing over such a good game in a playable state from day 1.
Nice. There's room for SWAT/R6 type tactical shooters still, it seems.
Hopefully this incentivizes Microsoft to revive the SWAT franchise since they technically own it now
Good to see consoles going strong and helping boosting sales of games like this. Maybe other devs in the future will bring their games on consoles faster. Phasmophobia is another good example of console port selling very well. I'm glad for them
Nice, will buy in about two months (if I can hold out ) going on holiday soon. Really wanna play it though. Will be a PS5 purchase even though I don't mind CooP with PC.
great game lots of various missions been playing solo
When ive finished Banishers, ill get this!
@Blauwe_Chimay @SBBuds you guys are in for a treat.
This games Reddit page says the games broken, is that right or are they just being too critical?
Keen to pick this up at some point soon! Glad for its success and for showing that there's space for multiplayer shooters beyond the ususal battle royale and extraction/ hero shooter types.
I think it helps a lot the fair good pricing. Clair obscure was the same price.
Yeah but, Assassins Creed has 5 million "players" since launch.
