@dschons @get2sammyb Yeah, that's why I asked the question. I've seen a couple of videos as well where they said it would be able to do so, so I was just hoping to get confirmation from @get2sammyb.
Was going to get it next week as me and the wife love co-op games but don't really like doing splitscreen because of the diminished view, would have opened up a whole new world for us. I'm sad now. Lol.

Can couch co-op/splitscreen games be played where one player is on the tv and the other using the Portal, negating the splitscreen?

@JapaneseSonic Sure, I'll put in 3-4 hours easily. Been playing since 8 this morning up until 3pm, and haven't died yet. But you know what? I'd like to play something else right about now but I cant! Because I can't stop and save the game.

What's the difference to you by me putting it in rest mode and doing something else as opposed to saving it where I left off and being able to use my PS5 to actually play other games??

What about my next run? If I'm at 7 hours now without dying, my next run might be 20. I work weekdays, so I'll have to go all week without playing another game, or my daughter not being able to play while I'm at work.

I can't see how that doesn't make sense to those who are against having a save.

Once again, like many have stated already. Not asking for a save where if I die I pick up right back from where I died (I don't mind having to start all over), but for a save just like putting it in rest mode so that I still can play other games.

Oh, and when she's done I might be reluctant to start playing again. Because should I play a few more hours so this can happen again? I will want to play some other games as well, so even if I didn't die, there goes the progress anyway.

Played for about 3 hours last night before putting it in rest mode when I was done, but now my daughter is wanting to play DMC, so because I can't save, I either have to tell her she can't play (which won't happen, I love her too much), or I lose all my progress. Guess it'll be the latter. But having only those two options is definitely a mistake on Housemarque.

Luckily, I didn't have a problem with that. I'll tell you what though, I always thought Crash 4 looked amazing on PS4, but wow, it looks much better on the PS5! I had both systems running and went to various locations to compare and I'm amazed! The PS4 version actually looks blurry to me now when switching back and forth between the two. It's crazy.

Would be super excited about FF VII, but now that a PS5 version is coming out, will wait for that instead. Been wanting to get it, but wanted to clear out some of my backlog first (even though I can't stop buying other games, funny how that works).

And as far as the initial topic, I did finally get it to work. After downloading the patch update on the PS4, I manually saved the files to the cloud rather than pressing R1 on the main menu of Spider-man PS4 to do it like it asked on the PS5 as well. So that's that. Thanks.

Won't work for me. I go to the game, go to new game slot, push R1 where it says download PS4 console save, then says "save not found. You must upload a save file from your PS4". I've done that 4 times now. I've even checked my PS5 cloud storage to see if it's there, and it is. Anybody else going through this?

I guess none, since I won't be able to get a PS5 anytime in the near future.
