Another reason to go pc

This is my last PlayStation.

Do they still produce new Xbox’s or are they just clearing down stock? I’d imagine it’s a complete waste of time manufacturing new ones.

Shadow dropping games doesn’t equal instant success. Oblivion was always going to sell well.

I don’t think forbidden west, ragnarok or spider man 2 sold as well as the first games on PlayStation either did they? The drop off wasn’t quite so extreme but that’s because we are starved for first party games.

Isn’t the “weaker than ps5” line just fake news? Certainly seems that way considering the base ps5 hardly ever hits 60fps in 4k.

Also this machine might be priced higher than consoles but it is aimed at the many gamers that are considering leaving closed ecosystems like PlayStation because the value proposition doesn’t really exist anymore. I don’t want to be tied to PlayStation just to play 3-4 exclusives per generation (which will come to pc at a later date)

This is what arrogance gets you. EA stepped up their game this year with battlefield and arc raiders has captured the streaming community. It’s looking more and more like a bad acquisition for Microsoft.

Game development time is going to shrink back to the good old days like ps2 and ps3. You can’t complain about crunch and 10 year dev cycles but then also moan about AI taking people’s jobs.

Every twitch steamer was playing this on Friday. I assumed it was a paid promo type thing. Wasn’t on my radar at all this one.

@Balaam_ lovely idea but let’s be real if these mobile game become a cash cow Sony will start redirecting funds away from AAA games and into mobile slop for gen z kids with the attention span of a fish.

Arc raiders isn’t a comparable situation.

With the growth of steam and of gaming in general I can definitely see this becoming a direct competitor to PlayStation. Especially with Microsoft and Sony continuing to release games on pc.

For me personally I was leaning towards pc gaming next gen anyway! Now I have an easy under the tv box I’m 100% pre ordering and leaving PlayStation.

PlayStations advertising has always been on point. Going back to the ps1 days they blew Nintendo away with marketing.

I feel like the only reason ps5 sells so well is because people have given up on Xbox entirely. No way it would be doing that well otherwise imo.

Mobile gaming is so tough to get right. Nintendo try the pay upfront method and that doesn’t really work. Most games are free to play with horrible pay to win progression mechanics. Anyway this isn’t for me this is for the generation that Xbox are going for.

Seems fair! This could damage sales in other parts of the world as customers could feel unfairly ripped off. But let’s be honest most of the public don’t keep an eye on news like this.

@jvecc last time I played on pc at an office desk I was playing worms Armageddon. I will buy a pc for under the telly though next gen.

I think arc will be around for a few years yet. The art direction and gameplay is perfect. Games aren’t too long and if you do lose stuff it isn’t too punishing. As they add more machines, secrets, weapons and maps I can see this having a large audience for years.

The game looks to similar for me too get excited about. Being that I have only just finished GoT I can wait a few years before picking this up on a large sale.

They purchased them because they imagined destiny 2 would be a forever game. It’s a moronic way of thinking because there will never be more than a hand full of forever games. The live service dream is a fools dream!

No it’s over rated! I finished the game with all endings and let’s be real this game only has very limited choices. If you wanted to be evil this game it was nearly impossible.

This article has misrepresented the facts of the campaign.also expecting anything positive to come from a UK government petition debate is a complete waste of time. These debates are barely attended and not once has any petition made any substantial change. European law will be what forces this issue as they actually care about consumer rights.

If these people had a case they would sue instead of standing outside with a picket sign. Truth is they know this will make the news and want to cause trouble to the company that sacked them. Will make zero difference to rock* though.

@wildcat_kickz i find that refreshing. I’m sick of central hubs having 30 people to talk to and walk around. Let’s face it games should be about the actual game not fancy animations and masses of work for the quest givers.

Oh the drama! Uk employment law says they can’t have sacked them without reason. If they were genuinely sacked for nothing they can go to tribunal. I somehow doubt they will though.

I’ve never seen one in the wild and I don’t know a single person that owns one. I guess this was only ever meant to serve a small proportion of the user base so that why it’s classed as a success.

Also let’s be real 2-3% of ps5 owners have purchased one of these. Not sure that’s mega hit territory. The vita sold between 10-16m and was considered a mega flop. (I know that had a completely different library)

Fascinating! Now why aren’t cost saving passed on to the consumer instead of taken by Sony? Quite frankly screw the planet!

@AhmadSumadi pubg is always in the top5 games on steam. Has been for years! They are even making the game in an entirely new engine

Microsoft might be making the right move distancing themselves from gated systems. If Sony follow the same path I’ll never buy a console again. You can get decent under the tv pc’s these days and I’d rather make the saving of buying games cheaper on pc than giving Sony money for nothing

Such a strange complaint! It is meant to feel dangerous above ground and most of the quest items complete regardless of you extract or not so to claim it’s a waste of time is nonsense.

@Daleaf playing solo has been great so far. Most other solo players on the map are willing to either live and let live or team up.

So glad I skipped the ps5 pro. Huge waste of money apart from one or two games that are optimised for it.
