@jvecc last time I played on pc at an office desk I was playing worms Armageddon. I will buy a pc for under the telly though next gen.

One step closer to a pc only future.

I think arc will be around for a few years yet. The art direction and gameplay is perfect. Games aren’t too long and if you do lose stuff it isn’t too punishing. As they add more machines, secrets, weapons and maps I can see this having a large audience for years.

The game looks to similar for me too get excited about. Being that I have only just finished GoT I can wait a few years before picking this up on a large sale.

They purchased them because they imagined destiny 2 would be a forever game. It’s a moronic way of thinking because there will never be more than a hand full of forever games. The live service dream is a fools dream!

No it’s over rated! I finished the game with all endings and let’s be real this game only has very limited choices. If you wanted to be evil this game it was nearly impossible.

This article has misrepresented the facts of the campaign.also expecting anything positive to come from a UK government petition debate is a complete waste of time. These debates are barely attended and not once has any petition made any substantial change. European law will be what forces this issue as they actually care about consumer rights.

I’ve never seen one in the wild and I don’t know a single person that owns one. I guess this was only ever meant to serve a small proportion of the user base so that why it’s classed as a success.

Also let’s be real 2-3% of ps5 owners have purchased one of these. Not sure that’s mega hit territory. The vita sold between 10-16m and was considered a mega flop. (I know that had a completely different library)

Microsoft might be making the right move distancing themselves from gated systems. If Sony follow the same path I’ll never buy a console again. You can get decent under the tv pc’s these days and I’d rather make the saving of buying games cheaper on pc than giving Sony money for nothing

Such a strange complaint! It is meant to feel dangerous above ground and most of the quest items complete regardless of you extract or not so to claim it’s a waste of time is nonsense.

@Daleaf playing solo has been great so far. Most other solo players on the map are willing to either live and let live or team up.

So glad I skipped the ps5 pro. Huge waste of money apart from one or two games that are optimised for it.

Not had any noticeable frame drops on my standard ps5. Graphics are incredible, immersion and atmosphere are brilliant.

No cue at all for me. Player for a couple of hours last night no issue.

Small form media is competition for people’s leisure time. But let’s be real that’s no different from saying people playing football or going to the gym is competition.

Gaming biggest problem is bloat. Devs make games which you are incentivised to login and play everyday or you fall behind. That will drive most people away. They should go back to making stand alone pick up and play games again. Why do you think we have so many indie hits these days.

It’s laughable thinking TikTok is their competition. It’s like saying the gameboy’s competition was the Boy Scouts. Kids with an attention span of a gnat won’t play games like halo!! They will play games like candy crush (if anything) maybe Microsoft should make more short format games for mobile instead of spending billions on buying up all aaa devs.

“Harming the teams work cycle” sounds like a bunch of people trying to protect their jobs. It won’t work! Medium term 50% of jobs will be gone for this type of work.

Loved the ps2 days. Easiest console of all time to jailbreak. At the same time home cd burning was becoming a thing. Every week I would go to blockbuster and hire a bunch of new games. Make copies of them all 😬

The server slam only had 10% of release day content. This game will do well for a long time. I feel this might be the first extraction shooter that gains a casual audience. This game will do what Marathon was hoping to do.

They can’t yet but they sure as hell will in a few years. All entertainment mediums will face this issue.

Edit: for the people saying AI will never to able to create like a human. AI will 100% be more intelligent and capable to learning on its own writhing 5 years. At that point Ai will train new Ai’s that will drastically improve rapidly.

Arc raiders are about to eat marathons lunch. Not sure where the first big win for Sony’s live service push will come from.

“We are all seeking to meet people where they are” the threat to gaming from other platforms like TikTok is very real. The problem is that while going multi platform will sell more games to a broader market it won’t stop the shift away from gaming to Twitter forms of media.

More and more people are moving away from traditional style games to touch control mobile games. Spending billions to buy Bethesda won’t matter unless they are told to make mobile games.

I don’t trust Bethesda to make it a good game. 3 and new vegas were the only real rpg’s 4 really didn’t have many options of play style. Apart from the three factions most convention choices were pointless.

Kill gamepass would be the best thing to do. Or at least get rid of day one games.
