Did you expect to be playing Until Dawn 2 in January 2027? Probably not, but you will be, because the surprisingly early PS5 release date for the horror sequel has been confirmed in a new State of Play trailer.
It's out on 28th January 2027, and pre-orders open on 10th September 2026. There'll be a standard version and a Digital Deluxe Edition on offer, with the latter packing in "the Y2K Neon Vibes Pack and Dioramas of Death extra feature".
The Dead True ghost-hunting crew are chasing their biggest story yet. After an investigation at Blackwood Sanitorium takes a chilling turn, an encounter with supernatural survivor Yoona leads them to Akishima Island, a remote paradise abandoned for decades and hiding secrets far older than any of them imagined. As the night unfolds, your choices will decide what happens next. Follow a signal in search of a missing friend, or risk a detour that could uncover vital clues. Make the sacrifice you’re told to make, or choose another way. Every decision can change the story, and determine who survives.

Good. There's one game I'll still be able to get on disc.
Yes, that's what release dates are going to mean to me now.
This looks decent tbf, definitely a day one purchase.
Like we said in chat, this trailer was A LOT better, looking forward to it.
This looks great
I'm looking forward to it. The first game is a favorite of mine on PS4 and I even enjoyed the ridiculous movie for what it is.
I'm too old for this sheet.
Looks really good and will most likely be a day 1 buy.
Didnt expect it to come so soon, pleasantly surprised! Love me some until dawn
I was pleasantly surprised by the release date. I hope it can live up to the quality of the first game.
Best part of the entire State of Play for me.
Do we know the price of this yet?
good to see its actually not that far off , can't wait, looks great.
Really hope it's not using Unreal Engine like the remake did. I'd quite like this to actually run well on my PS5
I think this and Laufey is how they should do marketing in the future. When it's basically in the polish stage with the game and the release date is near.
It's so much better than waiting a 2-3 years for the next update
Edit: AdHoc worked with FireSprite on this! Holy moly it's definitely day one now!
@cainhurst94 Who's AdHoc?
@PSGamer69420 The devs who made Dispatch
@cainhurst94 Oh ok
They made mistake of showing the monster / creature at the end of the trailer, which i hope they have some twist.
