I’m not sure people realise how far at the back of the line Sony are for chips. In a good year PlayStation sells 20m units compared to 280m pc’s. 1.6 billion smartphones sales a year. Just skip a generation! It’s not like anyone will be able to tell the difference between a ps5 and ps6 anyway.

Component prices are expected to rise for the next 18-24 months. We won’t have new capacity from fabs for at least that amount of time. Mobile phones have started to increase prices. We really don’t need any new hardware! Especially considering how slow development has been this generation. I say bring new consoles out some time in the 30’s

A quick google search will tell you that the general public don’t trust review platforms anymore and people are getting gaming news from YouTube, Reddit and twitter.

It seems to me that many developers haven’t adjusted to the shift in where people get gaming news from. Sites like this used to be the go to place for upcoming gaming news but as traffic dries up developers need to look elsewhere to promote their games.

The ban openly states that gaming platforms will banned from allowing under 16’s to talk with strangers online. Every adult in the uk will need to provide identification to join a social media platform (which is the real reason for the new laws) that way the government can monitor everything the whole population does online. Vpn bans will follow shortly afterwards.

Funny how game sales have slowed massively since prices increased to £70. Must be just a coincidence. Also most game on that Microsoft list are 7/10 max so not exactly bangers.

Make the same boring open world fetch quest games over and over again with zero enemy verity and this is what happens. Why bother playing a new game when you know exactly what you’ll get.
