Why is the disc drive version such a crappy saving compared to the other one?

Was great fun at the time. But let’s be honest the best levels were all the very early ones. The climbing mechanics ruined a lot of fun for me.

I really enjoyed the first game but it got repetitive. I haven’t seen anything that makes me think this one be be any different. I’ll wait for a discount I think.

Can’t wait! Hope to god they change the controls so I don’t have to tap to run and the auto aim stuff needs ditching.

Sonys first party offerings are far less important to me these days. Indie is taking over most of my playing time and I only see that continuing.

Those last two questions about where do you get gaming news apart from this site really opened my eyes. Just realised that I now only use YouTube for gaming news rather than any mainstream media. I imagine a lot of people are the same. Some of the sites listed are dreadful for gaming content and news. Pages of ads and articles written by people who clearly don’t really play the games they are reviewing apart from an hour or two.

Sony make more tv shows than games these days. Incredible that they sell their single player gaming stories to make television but the gaming department decided to almost abandon making single player games.

I wish more games released without games media getting review codes. I think that way we’ll get a much more balanced, fiat and honest review. For far too long the gaming media have given favourable reviews because they feel they can’t be overly critical or they risk not getting review codes for the publishers next game. On the other hand user reviews are generally unreliable because of review bombing.

I just don’t think a wolverine gameplay loop will be for me. Probably very melee heavy literal hack and slash. Most people will love it though because it could be very similar to god of war.

The next console gen is cooked before it’s even begun. My guess is the starting price of ps6 will be £700

Pc is already increasing its market share that will just continue at a rapid pace. Especially considering you can get decent pc’s that hook up to the television and are small enough to put under the box.

Copying Nintendo has never really worked for anyone. Best to just do your own thing.

It will only get tougher for PlayStation now they have increased the price of ps5.

I won’t be buying new hardware until it’s been on the market for years! I just don’t trust Sony or Microsoft to deliver the software to compel me to make the purchase.

Battlefield has already won this battle

Battlefield and EA have listened to the players and now they will be rewarded. Also the people making the game (leadership team) have the experience and know how with creating amazing content. Cod being “too big too fail” could be a very famous quote in the coming years.

@Nem in my mind YouTube reviews are a lot more trustworthy than the official gaming media. Unfortunately the media has been mostly takeover by the same few companies that are so obviously paid shills

It’s so easy to spot the paid reviews these days. Game has its flaws 9/10 great game

“Moving away from hardware centric business” very interesting that you sell you hardware for such an inflated price then. What this means going forward is ps6 will be the last console as everything will be fully online after that. Probably also means 90% of games will be live service trash with micro transactions to make up for the loss in hardware revenue.

In other words ps6 is where I jump off. Think I will spend the rest of my days on PC playing the 30 year back catalogue of games I always meant to play someday.

Verifying age on a game that you have to be 18 to buy. The same parents that buy their underage kids these games will also just do the verification for them.

Building it out as a platform sounds like 10 year+ live service plans. Not a bad idea for games like this.

Battle royal is the best form of online shooters imo. I’m not a fps guy myself but watching warzone or pubg on twitch are the most entertaining fps games to watch. I really don’t enjoy the kill/death ratios of the other style games. I like the finality of being out of the game when you die rather then unless respawns with a timer.

Without console exclusives I have zero reason to own the next PlayStation. I’d hesitate buying it anyway after this trash generation.

I haven’t paid £70 for a game yet. I have no intention of buying games until they are on sale anymore. If any game has a physical copy I like to buy second hand.

Sony know gta6 in 60 fps will be a system seller.

I enjoyed my time with the game. I think I put about 60 hours into it. Only critique I have is the enemy type got repetitive and so did the game loop. Story got better as it went on imo.

Live service is full of low effort cash grabs. That’s the whole point of the live service push from publishers. They can extract money from people easily that have addictive tendencies.

In shocking news!! Publishers that don’t want customer protection laws in place come out with nonsense statements to derail the stop killing games initiative.
