Re: The Crew 2's Scruffy 60fps PS5 Update Will Improve

BoldAndBrash

@RobN
Yeah very true, especially considering the game has more dialogue than a game like Mass Effect 2 lol.
So tuning into different npc's conversations can almost never get old either. A sequel would be bonkers!
Too bad Ubisoft has lost its touch. I'm often considered a Ubi hater, but the fact is, they made some great stuff and it's a shame where they are now in comparison

@Slippship
Can this garbage game die already. I've seen way too many articles on a crap game that has received a crap port by now.
All it does is remind me of the last good game Ubisoft had made and it actually is a PS3 game:
Driver SF, which has way better gameplay, graphics, physics, campaign and car mechanics than this piece of trash which belongs in trash, just like its company.

Absolutely insane where Ubisoft is when you look back at Driver SF

Re: Sony's Goal Is to Become the Nike of Gaming Gear

BoldAndBrash

The company that was too blind to make a Funko Pop-type collectibles franchise out of Sackboys?
I doubt it'll work out.

Sony has so many IP's and characters. They could've used Sackboys as a base for all their characters, just like Funkos. I would've collected them like crazy.
Ever since they missed banking on that, I've lost all faith and interest in Sony's merch

Re: The New Skate Resurfaces with Super Early Gameplay Footage, Invites to Alpha Playtests

BoldAndBrash

Aww man this looks sweet sweet SWEEETT!

@dschons
Nah, it's completely understandable.
Most games nowadays are made for that one playthrough. Getting you from A to B. Not a lot of variety in how things are done, especially with the lack of physics in most games since the PS4 gen.

Perfect example, once again...
Spider-Man 2 PS2 you could snatch up amazing swinging combos, wallruns and free fall stances. It looked absolutely amazing. The game had some actual physics. It had a fun learning curve. The better you got, the more fun it got.

New Spidey games? Not so much.
Hold a single button and move the stick. That's it. One hand controller, one hand cup of coffee. No physics, boring as hell. I'm sorry.

Skate games were always one of those games that took skill, but were fun from the start as well. With all the spoonfeeding going on with these games in the hopes of appealing to as many people as possible, they've left out the fun

Re: Gotham Knights Puts Robin in the Limelight with Latest Trailer

BoldAndBrash

The reaction is mindboggling. Gamers are actually insane.

This is more of Arkham. More of the incredible combat, the sandbox, the graphics, the storytelling. It's just in a multiplayer package now.

Have we forgotten how good the Arkham games were? The trailer is crap, but the gameplay is there. Clear as day.

Shame about the live service? Definitely. But I'm on this on day one, because they've got an incredible track record. Period.
Most triple A games wished they had gameplay this good.

@sanderson72
That's good to hear, thanks!
Yeah I loved the dirt and the amazon settings as well, but for me, driving out of falling building while some plane is crashing nearby to create another path you can drive through while Noisia is pumping in the background is just the pinnacle of pinnacles.

Would love to see PR on there as well!

Re: Gotham Knights Has the Largest Open World Gotham City of Any Batman Game

BoldAndBrash

@Bismarck
Unfortunately I can agree that the state of openworld games is pretty mediocre.
Though at least Dying Light and Horizon were decent.
Going in from A to B to shoot X and repeat that same thing for 30 hours has gotten a bit stale.

Looking forward to this one though, since it's Rocksteady and definitely looking forward to the smaller openworld game Hogwarts

Re: Gotham Knights Has the Largest Open World Gotham City of Any Batman Game

BoldAndBrash

@Bismarck
Which is still a lot. They're no Ubisoft.
AK was bigger and still had amazing details everywhere. Even the Batmobile worked flawless.
Cars are something only a few openworld games have done right so far.
AK did the freaking Batmobile right and people still complained. Meanwhile they're buying games with crappy car mechanics like Watch Dogs and empty world games like Assassin's Creed lol alright then

Re: Hot Wheels Unleashed Is Going Jurassic in Its Next Racing Season

BoldAndBrash

@TheCollector316
Yeah what a crappy way of trying to get players addicted to their crappy season passes for their casual game. Who even wants to grind this game that much? I'm fine with just finishing the story to this game and never touching it again.

I've gotten way more free content from free games than this paid pass provides for this paid game. Who the hell do they think they are lol. They need get back down to earth

Re: Exoprimal Shows Off Massive Dino-Hordes in New Gameplay Trailer

BoldAndBrash

@Goat_FromBOTW
Exactly.
I'm tired of these paper mache feeling Japanese games where you fight hordes and hordes of enemies.
"Look you're a samurai and slaughtering hordes of enemies! Isn't that COOL!?"
This here is that, but with mechs and dinosaurs...

I'd have much more satisfaction with a heavier game where you kill a single dino with a well placed shot instead of this button mashfest

Re: What Do We Know About The Last of Us Multiplayer for PS5?

BoldAndBrash

I've put thousands of hours into factions and if I'm not getting the good ol' 4v4 in balanced and classic maps like the original then I would be very sad.

This does seem really great and ND will deliver...
But there's nothing that's s good as factions. No stealth/ tactical/ brutal multiplayer game that has gameplay that is this polished. Which is insane since it's a decade old. This industry is incompetent and mediocre most of the time. Mostly because of decision making at the top

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced at Summer Game Fest Live?

BoldAndBrash

Dude that Factions 2 concept looks insane. I get DayZ vibes, but with actual good gameplay.
One thing I'm worried about is the potential lack of a 4v4 in incredibly good and classic maps like in the original factions (minus the tiny DLC maps that resembled Nuketown).
Hope they keep the original modes in there as well, because the tactical, stealthy and brutal gameplay (that literally no one else does, let alone this good) is too good to be left behind

Ps. This was just a huge advertisement show, just like TGA's with games that absolutely did not belong in the spotlight and it dragged on in parts

Re: The Callisto Protocol PS5, PS4 Gameplay Footage Is Gloriously Gory

BoldAndBrash

@alexbolton2
A decade too late after ruining Visceral Games.
I'll take it for sure, but they're a bunch of wimps and wanna test the waters for interest first.
These guys meanwhile actually make a triple A spiritual successor, so yeah

Though they do need to tweak the feeling of the gun and the impact. Dead Space was insane with that and this doesn't even come close
