Star Trek Online: Stormfall is a major story update for the long-running MMO, which launched all the way back in 2010, although it didn't make the jump to consoles until 2016. It continues the ongoing Terran Gambit story arc, and is the 26th chapter in the ongoing sci-fi epic.

Introducing new quests seasonal events, quality of life and technical improvements, and a completely remastered Starfleet tutorial, there has never been a better time to boldly go where no man has gone before (especially as STO is now free-to-play).

I think the time has passed for my dream of a single player RPG of Next Gen / Voyager happening. That makes me sad, but the franchise (and gaming) moves on.

@thefourfoldroot1 That's literally the game I'd make (or fund somebody talented to make for me) if I won the lottery tomorrow. Imagine something like Voyager meets Mass Effect, charting a course across space and altering the political dynamic of an entire quadrant, hopefully for the better, as you go.

There's always the upcoming Star Trek: Resurgence to look forward to, but I fear it'll fall a little short of fulfilling the dream.

I will say, STO is probably one of the best renditions of Star Trek as a videogame. It's fun to occasionally go back and revisit. I'm impressed they still have the servers going let alone new content though.
