Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 5 - Clicker Chaos Reigns Supreme

@Controller-Drift
I get your point and agree, but didn't think that was their point.
Kathleen is an unreasonable and thickheaded POS and that message was clear as day. Don't think they wanted her to be scary.
They even had that emotional scene with her, making us care about her, but nope. I was waiting for anyone to put a bullet through her lol.
Insanely good episode though. What a budget they have for this show jesus

@GreatAuk
Lol an American lecturing me about geography.
I'm not even from the UK and I've never been there.
Everyone knows what London looks like. It's one of the biggest cities in the world.
Boston and all the little crap cities and states and landscapes is all over the place. Who the fk would know what Boston looks like. Who'd even care?
I know a lot about the States, but who cares about Boston lol. You can show a bit of nature and tell me it's 10 miles from Boston and I'd eat it up. Apparently it's not even that farfetched as the showrunners thought so too

Yeah the swinging was fun for a couple of hours, but it doesn't have any depth, no physics, it's autopilot and you can't die from falling == boring.

If the swinging WAS actually fun and therefor it was FUN to go from objective to objective, then it's fine to have a huge openworld. Just like GTA IV. I was driving around the city years after finishing the game.

And unlike Assassin's Creed games where traveling absolutely sucks, but the worlds are massive and boring.

You think Joker was a bad film? It was one of the best films that year. Also, I'm talking about The SS (second SS film), which was way better than JL.

My point is, you can't really make this. There are too many unique characters for them all to feel good. Avengers was garbage and the flying was also terrible. That's what happens in games with so many characters. Anthem is pretty much the only game that did flying right (besides flying cars in San Andreas! Still unbeaten).
I wanted that Rocksteady Superman game soooo bad!

Re: Mini Review: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (PS5) - Accessible Action RPG Plays Best on PS5

BoldAndBrash

Even the PS3 could handle this game. I'm waiting for the day they release a proper triple A DBZ game with ONE playable character that goes on its own adventure, with flushed out gameplay and flying.
The fact that flying is more fluid in Hogwarts really says something (and all the more power to Hogwarts! Can't wait for that day one game as opposed to DBZ being a discount bin game)

High horsed people here complaining about games/ surprises being ruined, but you're all the first in line to watch a 15 minute gameplay trailer and ruin it for yourselves.

At the end of the day you're prematurely ruining the experience of the game. Either way, it may be sad for the devs, but I'll make sure to play a tiny violin for the huge corporations who deserve way worse

Re: Dead Space PS5 Looks Like a Remarkable Remake

BoldAndBrash

@IslandLogic
Last of Us part 1 wasn't a remaster, but a remake. People were already on the TLOU hate bandwagon, the price was ridiculous and this situation is something else.

We've been begging for a new Dead Space since PS3. Ea was stupid enough to ditch Visceral. It was hopeless, so this INCREDIBLE looking remake is a breath of fresh air in a generation where most games are even worth getting a next gen console for, because they're all crossgen games anyway

Re: Dead Space PS5 Looks Like a Remarkable Remake

@GuttyYZ
Guardians has many issues, but it's fun. Callisto a bit of a disappointment. The rest except for GOW doesn't even get anywhere near the quality of Dead Space, I'm sorry.
All decent games that I enjoy, but still don't have the edge.
Best comparison is how Assasins Creed 1 had a world that felt alive, but then you play one of the new ones and they're empty, play like crap, have impactless combat and the NPC's say one stupid line on repeat, because they couldn't be bother to make the worlds feel more alive

@sanderson72
Could've been either Horizon, GOW or Hogwarts, but they're all crossgen, so what's the point anymore lol... They're all held back by last gen, idv what anyone says.

The 3 games that are MUST haves for me are Silent Hill 2, Dead Space and Demon's Souls...
If that irony doesn't reflect on the state of gaming today, then I don't know what to do anymore.
Seems like they just can't make stellar games anymore
