Re: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's Enhanced PS5 Version Drops in January, Is a Free Upgrade

BoldAndBrash

@RedRiot193
The game is riddled with cutscenes, as do almost all Japanese games with their excessive cutscenes. Sony makes pretty mainstream games with cutscenes being on the shorter side in comparison, so not sure what you're on about. Sounds petty and pulled out of thin air.

The PS2/3 are the best imo as well and I'd even go as far as to say Spider-Man 2 PS2 has better gameplay and physics than its PS4/5 counterparts, which absolutely lacks physics, momentum, fun wallrunning and fun gameplay in general.

Still, the my point was clear. Kakarot lacks fluent gameplay. It's quickly thrown together to make a cheap game in a short amount of time to check all the selling boxes. Much like Ubisoft games checking many boxes and doing none of them right.

Both companies make openworld games, but none of them have ever come close to making a properly good openworld game with the quality of an Arkham game. Never. You can now proceed to complain that you don't like the Arkham games, but the fact that a single person has spent years animating the Batman cape should shut you up.

If that amount of work was put into a DBZ game you'd kiss my feet.

Never understood why fanboys defend mediocre games of their favourite IP's. They can all be SO much better. Why are you even arguing ffs. Don't you want better games?? Fanboys seriously piss me off

Re: Gallery: Dead Space Remake Looks Stunning in First Official Screenshots

BoldAndBrash

HOLY god almighty that looks absolutely mouth watering.
This is what happens when people spend their creative time and energy into something artistic.
This looks absolutely stunning. Can't wait to actually spend time in this world.

Now why don't I get the same feeling when I play ANY Ubisoft or others halfaassed game?
The answer to that question is absolutely what's wrong with the industry today.

@PegasusActual93
No, it's not. It is not going to be "devastating". Everyone's gonna forget and their games are gonna come out as normal, it's gonna be mediocre and everyone's gonna buy it anyway and they'll run away with your money.
As always.
Stop victimising huge corporations JFC

Re: Assassin's Creed Games Go Cheap for Weekend of Reveals

BoldAndBrash

These games just feel like work and the gameplay doesn't support the manipulative/ addictive design they went for.
I'm fine with addictive FUN games, but these soulless games are such a chore and terribly written, it's a chore.
Haven't touched a game after playing Odyssey for a some hours and uninstalling it.
My passion for gaming is just gone, because of all these mediocre "good enough, let's publish it, they'll buy it anyway" sorta games. Just fking disgusting tbh.

What happened to FUN games? Like seriously, what the hell happened.

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft to Announce Multiple Assassin's Creed Games, Including One Set in Japan

BoldAndBrash

Right after I swear off Ubisoft games, they announce what I desperately wanted 10 years ago... AC in Japan.
Bunch of chicken. Before Tsushima they never dared to touch Japan. Ubisoft is so out of touch, it's painfully obvious in every single game of theirs.

Oh well, their games have been snorefests anyway. Huge empty worlds, clunky gameplay, manufactured to make you addicted and waste time, terribly written, terrible immersion, garbage game design, bullet sponges, bug and glitchfests. All of them. Always.

Who cares anymore, honestly?

Re: The Division Heartland Details Leak Via Ubisoft Store Ahead of Ubisoft Forward Event

BoldAndBrash

@Dr_Luigi
I don't know, did myself a favour as it's gonna save me a lot of time by not playing it. Second time trying the game after uninstalling it once before.
I did try Fenyx Rising, but stopped playing that one as well. It was the most fun one out all the above, but still...

These games aren't made for fun it feels like. They're manufactured in a manipulating way to keep the player addicted, but their lacking gameplay, world, immersion and game/ mission design doesn't support that many hours being wasted. I always give them the benefit of the doubt, but never again.

I got Tsushima day one and I liked it a lot! Wished it was more grounded, slower and less arcady maybe, but definitely great!

@Dr_Luigi
This. Came right after forcing myself to finish Origins. Recently finally tried Odyssey and uninstalled because of its terribly written, terribly playing snorefest of a soulless game.
Yesterday deleted Division 2 and broke its disc in half lol.

Wasn't even mad. Just had a realization that I'm wasting my life playing these garbage Ubisoft games that require players to put so many hours in their broken aass garbage games. Good riddance. Never again

Re: Silent Hill 2 Remake Pitch Images Leak, May Be a Timed PlayStation Exclusive

BoldAndBrash

@pip_muzz
Yeah me not buying multiple half a K consoles is my problem? I'm seriously being unreasonable huh?

Only TLOU1 remake has been out and it's a masterpiece updated very nicely. The others aren't even out yet, but yet you're saying they suck or that they shouldn't be made, huh?
They would somehow ruin the originals or something? You would buy the disc of the remasters and that disc grab a knife and fck up your original disc, huh?
Is that how it works? Am I really that stupid? Am I the unreasonable one? Fine.

Re: Silent Hill 2 Remake Pitch Images Leak, May Be a Timed PlayStation Exclusive

BoldAndBrash

@pip_muzz
The HD remakes suck though.
The games are old enough to be remade and it's perfectly fine to do so. Why can the RE games do it, when this one suddenly isn't allowed?
RE4 is literally everywhere already and pretty modern as well with its recent releases. Yet it gets a remake and people are fine with it.

SH is outdated and I'd love to see that world in a modern jacket. If not, play it on your own hardware.
I'm only on PS4/5 and it's not on there

Re: Silent Hill 2 Remake Pitch Images Leak, May Be a Timed PlayStation Exclusive

@nessisonett
Christ almighty I hate this mindset with a passion.
I LOVE The last airbender. They can absolutely NEVER do it justice, but am I annoyed or sad that they're making a live action show out of it? HELL NO.
It's STILL THERE. Why are people so absolutely mindbogglingly illogical??? Always the vocal types as well. Debbie downers, Jezus Christ.
You can continue your life without playing it.
I've been wanting a remake for over a decade. Let me have my fun ffs.

>Actual scary Horror video games seem to be on the up again?

And it's getting me hyped as hell. Tired of these generic 3rd person handholding games that all play the same (if they even let you play that is). Most games are too scared to even let you fail.
Time for some games that actually scare you

Re: Sony Sounds Shook by Xbox's Activision Buyout, Says Call of Duty Has No Rival

BoldAndBrash

As a big original MW/MW2 fan, I've quit COD a long time ago. Tried them again, but never liked them.

TLOU factions however, is a masterpiece and I've put thousands of hours into the PS3/4 versions.
With Factions 2 they could really go viral. It's a million times more fun, tense and tactical than anything COD has to offer. It could really become a popular competitive game if they play their cards right.

Sony's been really lacking with their surface level entertainment exclusives as of late though. Tsushima, Spider-Man, Horizon 2, they're just nothing more than fun for the moment. Bland and forgettable storylines. They just lack depth in story and gameplay.

My hype is in check, but if Sony was as competent as they used to be, they would know that PS users buy it for their amazing exclusives and have nothing to worry about, but this ain't the Sony I knew

Re: Ubisoft's Free-to-Play Roller Champions Could Already Be on the Chopping Block

BoldAndBrash

@ATaco
Maybe if they started making half decent games again, they would've been successful.

Ubisoft's desperation for trying to be overly cool and hopping on every bandwagon for the next big thing is pathetic and they deserve their failure.
Most of their games nowadays scream "how do you do fellow kids" vibes or trying to cash in on live service with crappy games that have unsustainable clunky Ubisoft gameplay
