I had high hopes for this game but I struggled to solve much of anything. I think I would have preferred it if it wasn't a procedurally generated game.
@Bramble Yeah it's been the best way for me to be partially physical and partially digital. Sometimes I get a bargain physically and sometimes digitally. It cost me just £10 to play Creed Shadows!! I bought it ages after release for £30 new and sold it on for £20 when I was done.
@TrollOfWar I might have sold mine because I realised I play retro games for about 5 minutes before im bored but I second your opinion, it's a great system and I still kinda want to buy one again cos they're cool lol
One good thing long term about a separate disc drive unit is that, for instance, my PS4 drive is starting to really struggle to spit out the discs. If it was a drive it would be just a case of getting another one, rather than replacing my whole console. I need to look into if I can fix it though, but just trying to think of something nobody might have thought of! I hadn't, I hated the idea of a separate disc drive..
Edit - Ah I just need to clean debris with a q-tip and solution. Still, I suppose my point would still be valid if the laser died..
@RobN Yep, I didn't buy Mortal Kombat 1 for £20 around 3 months ago because I just had a feeling it would be on Plus soon, otherwise I would have just bought it there and then.
@windxtravelerx Alright, well I don't want to make light of what you have to go through as whatever I have that's not diagnosed sounds fairly trivial to yourself. But I am sure I have anxiety about a lot of things, it's stopped me from looking for work. It can be crippling.
So what does it mean if I put a disc in a case and the image isn't upright, I can't just close the case knowing it's wonky inside, I have to rotate it until it's correct, otherwise it will feel like there is disorder. It makes no sense when I have a messy table! But I am not OCD in the way of doing things like switching lights on and off repeatedly.
@4fold Jason Momoa is the biggest name here, surprised you don't know of him - Aquaman, Stargate Atlantis, Game of Thrones, Minecraft (movie), Justice League..
Hollow Knight should have been a game I like, I enjoyed all Shantae titles, Chasm, some castlevanias, bloodstained.. but I'm like @puppetmaster and just didn't like the art style. I didn't like how the game played either for that matter.
But it's always good to see people get excited for an indie title. Just a shame I can't get excited alongside everyone!
@Kraven I'm wondering if it's some kind of OCD thing, like how I have to have my white spine ps4/5 games separate to the others on the shelfs. But I'm not massively ocd, and with trophies I don't even think about them until I have nearly finished a game to see if the plat is doable because I used to let them dictate how I'd play a game and even take some of the fun away.
Psychonaughts 2 I played on xbox back when I had one. I lost interest in it but got quite far, so I don't know if I'll want to play it again. Maybe..
Stardew - I have played it for hundreds of hours with my gf, on PS4 and with mods on PC, and like others said, it's a bit lame because it's often on sale for what, £5.99 or thereabouts? Not to mention it's really really old.
Viewfinder - Not familiar with it but I like the odd chill cosy game.
Been playing it for about half an hour, while I can! It's okay, I'm not big into open world racing games but it's not bad for a game I've never heard of.
MGS3 was my least favourite out of the first three games, but I'm still interested in playing the remake. I hope they remake the first game, I played that game to death on PS1, unlocking everything possible!
I had the special forces Jax game back when it came out and thought it was extremely mediocre back then so I imagine I'll find it to be a steaming turd by today's standards, but I never had the misfortune to play the sub zero game..
I'm not all that enthusiastic about He-Man even if I did see it as a kid, but bitmap bureau made my favourite beat em up Final Vendetta so this is a day one purchase for me!
Resi 2 and 3 are better titles to me than the twisted metal games, which I found to be very unplayable now, even if I loved them back in the PS1 days, whereas I imagine even with tank controls the Resi games have probably held up somewhat better.
@nessisonett There's absolutely no logical reason I should enjoy Euro Truck Simulator on PC yet I did! I liked that I could integrate my mp3s into the radio station iirc?
@RiverGenie A fair point, but then I have to ask why Pushsquare give the answer as "it's a crap selection" which makes it sound like someone is saying the games are bad. It should read as something like "None of them are any good for me", no?
@Northern_munkey I don't disagree with your statement, but Sony ain't doing ***** so my approach is a suggestion to at least meet us consumers halfway. Not as though they'll be reading any of this..
@Northern_munkey Trials are more cost effective for a studio as they don't need to do anything particularly special like when creating a demo, so it's funny that you have to pay for trials.
I think it would be fairer and still within Sony's wanting to make Plus Premium worth paying for to do different hours for the bigger game trials. So Death Stranding 2 could be 2 hours for everyone and 5 hours with Plus. If someone gets plus premium during the trial time, those extra 3 hours are topped up on top. Probably a logistical nightmare but I was trying to think of something that would be more consumer friendly that Sony might entertain.
@Balaam_ Game trials do unlock trophies. I got a few yesterday for the 30 minute trial of "I, AI" which I turned off after 10 minutes as I didn't like several design choices, and got one also for a trial of "House Flipper 2", which went off after about 5 minutes..
@EfYI This is a much less offensive way of putting it, so I have no issues with what you said, just for the record. People who vote it's crap, have unrealistic expectations for Plus, and I can only assume they'll only ever be happy if it was doing a Gamepass with day one releases of AAA titles, something Sony have clearly communicated isn't going to happen.
@Kienda I'm pretty sure he meant people who voted it's a "crap selection" are "mentally stunted", to which I have reported as abusive behaviour because that's really not nice. And that's not even targeted at me because I am really happy with these games, but it's still not on!
@nessisonett The votes are currently very much higher for the remastered version that people claimed had yet to be on Plus before? But even without this title I am very happy with this month's lineup. But I see where you're coming from.
Poor EDF with no votes, but it has some fierce competition! Really good timing, me and my gf are just about wrapping things up with EDF World Brothers 2.
@Zuljaras It certainly inspired many point and click games! I got the PS5 physical! Just gotta wait however many years for them to remaster my favourite BS game, the second game in the series! 😅
I've been playing Lies of P on the easiest difficulty which still feels challenging for me and my nerves when playing souls games, and a bit of Grid Legends but on hard mode because otherwise even on medium difficulty I just find myself very quickly at the front of the pack and bored racing alone in 1st, which is odd, I'm usually rubbish at racing games too..
@Kraven I finished Robocop and found i had Unfinished Business of being one trophy away from getting the platinum and it was right at the end of the game about upsetting a child! Gutted. Given the game has no manual saving.
@djlard I understand where you're coming from but again, you can still play the original FF7. I didn't mind the combat in FF7 remake but it was far from what I wanted too in a remake. It strayed too far away and messed with the storyline. But they're still good games, just not what I expected lol.
Then there's Crash where they messed up the jump, so again, I get it in that way. I wouldn't agree that 90% mess up a remake though.
@djlard Struggling to understand why you'd be so bothered about a game getting remade that you only ever played for 3 hours AND they're giving you the option to play the original version anyway so just don't play the remake?
I played the Lies of P demo when that was released and couldn't finish the demo so that was it for me. Now I see in the comments that there's an easy mode, good stuff! These souls like games make me so anxious that my gaming skills turn to mush.
@nessisonett If its going to playable offline then it is designed as you say, so that cannot be the reason it's being delisted. So i think what the article said about expiring car and track licences is probably spot on.
I wasn't going to buy it day one, I was going to wait for a price drop, so it doesn't really affect me all that much. It seems a tad steep for a retro pixel game. And I say that as a pixel artist who knows how much work goes into pixel art! I hope it sells really well on release though, talented devs.

Re: 8 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2025 Announced
Very happy with the following:
Crow Country
The Invincible
Conscript
Legacy of Kain
Willing to try the rest, just glad they're all games I have not bought before! (Apart from Kain I suppose but it was on PS2 when it came out so..)

Re: These 14+ New PS5, PS4 Games Are Coming Out Next Week (8th-14th September)
I think it's obvious what game everyone will be buying there then
Who doesn't want to play a bunch of bad games in one retro collection?

Re: Street Fighter Movie's Crazy Full Cast List Revealed, Releases Next Year
@4fold You could always look his picture up, but in any case he has a net worth of $40 million.
I'm gonna give Atlantis a second chance because I too didn't get into it.

Re: Konami Wants to 'Consider Lots of Other Games' for Remake Treatment if MGS Delta Succeeds

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (PS5) - The Best Version of an Undisputed Classic
That's exactly what I want from a remake, a faithful recreation with shiny new graphics and controls.
Yes seconded, I found it odd they skipped MG1 and 2 to remake 3. 1 is my most wanted remake of the Metal Gear games.

@Ken_Kaniff If you're just a console gamer, and I'm assuming you are, then there's no reason really why you would have heard of them.

Poor EDF with no votes, but it has some fierce competition! Really good timing, me and my gf are just about wrapping things up with EDF World Brothers 2.
Re: 12 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2025 Announced
Very happy with this month!
I put off buying MK1 for months, I just had a gut feeling it would be on Plus soon, and here we are!
Me and my gf just finished EDF World Brothers 2 and never played EDF6 so that's awesome!
Several games here sound interesting that I've never played.
Harold Halibut is a solid game, had it on Gamepass, tempted to play it again and get the trophies in the process although it's a slow burn of a game.
RE 2 and 3 is cool too.

@nessisonett Gee how did the disc die after 40 hours? 😛
Re: Rumour: Starfield PS5 to Take Flight Alongside New Expansion Next Year
@Midnyte-Monkey Is this why I'm struggling to remember playing it lol
I don't recall it being terrible or anything, just meh. I can only remember running around lost on a space station or something.
