@Northern_munkey I don't disagree with your statement, but Sony ain't doing ***** so my approach is a suggestion to at least meet us consumers halfway. Not as though they'll be reading any of this..
@Northern_munkey Trials are more cost effective for a studio as they don't need to do anything particularly special like when creating a demo, so it's funny that you have to pay for trials.
I think it would be fairer and still within Sony's wanting to make Plus Premium worth paying for to do different hours for the bigger game trials. So Death Stranding 2 could be 2 hours for everyone and 5 hours with Plus. If someone gets plus premium during the trial time, those extra 3 hours are topped up on top. Probably a logistical nightmare but I was trying to think of something that would be more consumer friendly that Sony might entertain.
@Balaam_ Game trials do unlock trophies. I got a few yesterday for the 30 minute trial of "I, AI" which I turned off after 10 minutes as I didn't like several design choices, and got one also for a trial of "House Flipper 2", which went off after about 5 minutes..
@EfYI This is a much less offensive way of putting it, so I have no issues with what you said, just for the record. People who vote it's crap, have unrealistic expectations for Plus, and I can only assume they'll only ever be happy if it was doing a Gamepass with day one releases of AAA titles, something Sony have clearly communicated isn't going to happen.
@Kienda I'm pretty sure he meant people who voted it's a "crap selection" are "mentally stunted", to which I have reported as abusive behaviour because that's really not nice. And that's not even targeted at me because I am really happy with these games, but it's still not on!
@nessisonett The votes are currently very much higher for the remastered version that people claimed had yet to be on Plus before? But even without this title I am very happy with this month's lineup. But I see where you're coming from.
Poor EDF with no votes, but it has some fierce competition! Really good timing, me and my gf are just about wrapping things up with EDF World Brothers 2.
@Zuljaras It certainly inspired many point and click games! I got the PS5 physical! Just gotta wait however many years for them to remaster my favourite BS game, the second game in the series! 😅
I've been playing Lies of P on the easiest difficulty which still feels challenging for me and my nerves when playing souls games, and a bit of Grid Legends but on hard mode because otherwise even on medium difficulty I just find myself very quickly at the front of the pack and bored racing alone in 1st, which is odd, I'm usually rubbish at racing games too..
@Kraven I finished Robocop and found i had Unfinished Business of being one trophy away from getting the platinum and it was right at the end of the game about upsetting a child! Gutted. Given the game has no manual saving.
@djlard I understand where you're coming from but again, you can still play the original FF7. I didn't mind the combat in FF7 remake but it was far from what I wanted too in a remake. It strayed too far away and messed with the storyline. But they're still good games, just not what I expected lol.
Then there's Crash where they messed up the jump, so again, I get it in that way. I wouldn't agree that 90% mess up a remake though.
@djlard Struggling to understand why you'd be so bothered about a game getting remade that you only ever played for 3 hours AND they're giving you the option to play the original version anyway so just don't play the remake?
I played the Lies of P demo when that was released and couldn't finish the demo so that was it for me. Now I see in the comments that there's an easy mode, good stuff! These souls like games make me so anxious that my gaming skills turn to mush.
@nessisonett If its going to playable offline then it is designed as you say, so that cannot be the reason it's being delisted. So i think what the article said about expiring car and track licences is probably spot on.
I wasn't going to buy it day one, I was going to wait for a price drop, so it doesn't really affect me all that much. It seems a tad steep for a retro pixel game. And I say that as a pixel artist who knows how much work goes into pixel art! I hope it sells really well on release though, talented devs.
I've got it coming today physically. It sounds like it could do with a few patches to fix some things like those typos mentioned, but I'm busy with other games right now anyway so hopefully it'll be patched up a bit by the time I play it. It's cheap enough on launch to not wait for a price drop, I felt.
@PuppetMaster i thought it was a new thing pretending to be a very old anime. I take it the cutscenes were just taken from that then? I thought they were made with brilliant authenticity!
I played the demo, I found it a bit annoying to play. Something about how he controls I didn't like, and it was just kinda boring. Far better games of this ilk out there.
On the very rare occasion, my PS5 freezes up on the dash. It happened yesterday, and after a while it restarted itself and sent a report.
Also my dualsense occasionally thinks I've plugged a microphone in and the tv sound goes off. About once a fortnight. Fix is to plug headphones in and take out. I never even use the jack!
I didn't like the timers in Tony Hawks games so 4 was the first one I actually properly got into and played the whole career. So it's a pass for me, maybe one day when it's really cheap.
@naruball Yeah, similar feeling. It doesn't seem to matter how many years pass and that my life is better than it was, I put cyberpunk on and I'm taken back to that time of my life. It quite frankly sucks lol.
Has anyone ever played a game during a really bad time of your life where you sunk into depression to the point of having suicidal thoughts and now that game is forever tainted? Cyberpunk is unfortunately that game for me.
I would absolutely love to see Shadow Hearts 1 get the treatment, although I seem to recall hearing nobody actually owns the ip now?? Shadow Hearts 2 would be nice too, 3 would need to omit the 50hz PAL mode as it crashes when you use the American Indian character in battles.
@Jrs1 Good shout, I have Huntdown digitally and then bought it physically but Cex offered more than what I paid for it albeit in credit so I sold it lol. Good for local co-op
I know this is in good hands, but I wonder if it will be too hard, because as good as the dev's games Xeno Crisis and Battle Axe were, I couldn't beat them! Final Vendetta, their last game, had an easy mode and I was able to beat it, and perhaps even on medium difficulty, so hard to call it unless they confirm something about that.
@Dalamar I'll see if my opinion changes when I play it on the PS5 but I couldn't get on with the pc version after playing it on ps2 but it was many years in-between, it might have just aged too much for me. I also prefer using a controller..
@LifeGirl I can at least play Human Revolution on my PC, it's Invisible War I'd really love to see ported to PS5, the PC version requires keyboard and mouse and no amount of joypad emulating makes it playable like that when I tried. Hmm I didn't think to try emulation with og xbox though, worth investigating!
Deus Ex Katamari Hundred Heroes (give it a second chance) Train sim world (try out conductor mode, not drive a train) Endless dungeon (give it a try i guess)
I don't play online games, I don't care about freddy night games, and I won't play a game that glorifies hunting as a sport. (I will kill animals in assassin's creed and whatever, that's different)
@SilentS I had been playing gamepass and so didn't have any Plus sub on. So when the plus sale came on, it was what, £75 for the extra and £80 for premium or something like that? So I went for premium, seemed like a no-brainer.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2025?
@nessisonett Ah yes, I guess people are mistaken. I see Kotaku put "again" for Spiderman remastered.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2025?
@Northern_munkey Yep! The story makes as much sense as buying wet toilet paper but addictive blasting crazy fun!

Poor EDF with no votes, but it has some fierce competition! Really good timing, me and my gf are just about wrapping things up with EDF World Brothers 2.
Re: 12 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for August 2025 Announced
Very happy with this month!
I put off buying MK1 for months, I just had a gut feeling it would be on Plus soon, and here we are!
Me and my gf just finished EDF World Brothers 2 and never played EDF6 so that's awesome!
Several games here sound interesting that I've never played.
Harold Halibut is a solid game, had it on Gamepass, tempted to play it again and get the trophies in the process although it's a slow burn of a game.
RE 2 and 3 is cool too.

Re: So, PS3 Game Sacred 2 Is Getting Remastered for PS5
@nessisonett Haha yes, I am pretty sure I played this game but almost zero recollection of actually playing it.
Re: PS5 Sequel Darksiders 4 Has Online and Split-Screen Co-Op, By the Way
I wouldn't be interested in the game at all but split screen would change things..

@nessisonett Ah right I didn't absorb the rest of what you said to realise you meant recently and not back in the day.
Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins 'Major DLC' Announced Alongside Remaster of an Old Game
@nessisonett Gee how did the disc die after 40 hours? 😛
Re: Rumour: Starfield PS5 to Take Flight Alongside New Expansion Next Year
@Midnyte-Monkey Is this why I'm struggling to remember playing it lol
I don't recall it being terrible or anything, just meh. I can only remember running around lost on a space station or something.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for August 2025 Announced
I played the Lies of P demo when that was released and couldn't finish the demo so that was it for me. Now I see in the comments that there's an easy mode, good stuff! These souls like games make me so anxious that my gaming skills turn to mush.
The other two games, I won't even claim them.

Re: These 12+ New PS5, PS4, PS Plus Games Are Coming Out This Week (21st-27th July)
I realise it's not a new release as such but Broken Sword Reforged physical edition is out on 25th July. I've held off double dipping all this time!
Re: RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business (PS5) - Standalone Mini-Sequel Just Misses the Mark
@ShogunRok I am quite happy with this. If he was fully upgraded there'd be no reason to do side quests at all.

@Markatron84 I'd like to know this too!

Re: 2,800+ PS5, PS4 Games Going Cheap in New PS Store Summer Sale
I just got Assassin's creed shadows for £40 physically from Smyths, this is why I tend to only buy digital games that don't have physical releases.

Re: Sublime Murder Mystery The Invisible Hours Hopes to Get a Remaster
I'm virtually friends with Rob on social media, so I already knew about this!
Rob has come far since this game, he wrote the Outside the Wire and Jackpot movies. But it's good to see he hasn't turned his back on games.
Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 (PS5) - An Imperfect Remake, But a Great Skateboarding Game

Re: There's Unfinished Business in Robocop: Rogue City's Standalone Expansion on PS5
Planning on buying these games this month on release physically, it's an exciting month in gaming for me!
Soul Reaver 1+2
Robocop unfinished business
Broken Sword Reforged

@Jrs1 Seconded with the other comment about being rage inducing, although I did beat both games and I'm not exactly amazing at retro games!
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Update 1.0.6 Out Tomorrow on PS5, Full Patch Notes Revealed
@Atreus97 Heh yes, maybe around £35 mark, I can wait haha
Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Update 1.0.6 Out Tomorrow on PS5, Full Patch Notes Revealed
It's one of my most wanted games released this year and I still haven't bought it because the longer I wait, the better the game gets lol
Re: Talking Point: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2025 So Far?
@get2sammyb Oh yeah February! I forgot it wouldn't be listed here, oops.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your PS5 Game of the Year for 2025 So Far?
I'm so behind on releases that all 3 of the best games I've played this year all came out last year:
Steamworld Heist 2
Avowed
Star Wars Outlaws
However I think it's pretty likely I'll play Creed Shadows this year.
I have played some 2025 releases like Oblivion and Expedition 33 through GamePass, however, but they're not as good as the 3 titles above for me.

I'll be downloading..
Deus Ex
Katamari
Hundred Heroes (give it a second chance)
Train sim world (try out conductor mode, not drive a train)
Endless dungeon (give it a try i guess)
I don't play online games, I don't care about freddy night games, and I won't play a game that glorifies hunting as a sport. (I will kill animals in assassin's creed and whatever, that's different)

Re: 'People Are Less Willing to Pay': Dev Speaks Out Against Day One Releases on PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass
I would have bought this game for PS5 Physically, but I had gamepass at the time and so naturally played it with that. Would be daft not to.
