@WeirdAlUHF334 You just made the point as to why difficult games is a discussion these days, because most games are more accessible now. But most games were rock hard in the 90s because they were incredibly short and needed to be made hard to make the game last longer. Or if it's an arcade game - well, you know. I had a c64 and Amiga, I'm certainly no kid lol.

I beat Ghost of Tsushima, Deus Ex mankind divided and Ninja Gaiden on the OG xbox on hard. But present me with a dark souls game and I am usually absolutely awful at them except for Nioh for some reason.

@Dalamar I think it depends on the style of game to be fair, I am good at some genres and bad at others.

@Dalamar I understand what you mean, I have felt that satisfaction from a tough boss, but if it's a souls like im usually never beating that boss ever if it's a really hard one lol.

I think I would feel the same way, and if it didn't have those modifiers I would have completely dismissed ever buying the game. I'm very grateful they have included these and I did enjoy Shovel Knight, and finished that. But I never did "git gud" at souls likes.

@OmegaStriver Yes I had that on PS1, although I first played it on a Sega Saturn I borrowed once. That's when I discovered Saturn's need a battery to remember save files..

This is cool, especially when Amiga games manage to find their way on to consoles.

But I never had any love for these games even as a point and click fan. I'm not sure I even played any of them, they're seemingly puzzles without the story and dialogue, and probably nobody plays point and click games for just the puzzles.

Kind of crazy that better adventure games haven't made it to consoles yet such as Curse of Monkey Island and Flight of the Amazon Queen.

How many of us will buy it thinking "This will mark the first of multiple purchases of this game across future generations of consoles"

@RobN I just tried the game, I was having to press triangle to resync once every 10 seconds. Then I realised the bullets would land slightly up-right of the aim cursor for some reason so I had to learn to shoot off target because small precise shots were missing otherwise. Really badly implemented this, deleted it 2 minutes later!

@JoeNobody Your comment won't age well, that or you have a crystal ball that sees into the future. Pretty ridiculous to claim any game isn't going to have a sale for the rest of the year and into the next year.

@TheArt I am in the position of not wanting to buy the game physically yet because I am someone who will play it once and sell it. So I am playing the long game of waiting for it to no longer have updates. I can't complain that they are adding things to it but I guess by the time they're done the game will be cheaper!

I played it on launch, then played the PSVR version, and then partially played it again on PS4. I think it has held up better than a lot of other games from the PS3/360 generation. Need to go back to it, other games keep getting in the way lol. I even bought a ps3 copy for cheap as chips just to put the manual in the PS4 version, maybe that's sad but I don't care.

It would have been a good line up had I not played half of the games on here already, just bad luck for me. Glad lots of people will give Broken Sword a go who might not have otherwise.

I remember being blown away by it, I just stood there and watched the npcs going on about their business, then a shoot out occured and it didn't involve me!

Ah yes I think I knew about the loading technique from testing used PS2 consoles, i would drive really fast and if the laser was on its way out the city would struggle to load in assets. Also blue discs (that weren't DVDs?) wouldn't play.

If a game is available physically that I want, I'll buy it, but if it isn't then I have no choice but to buy it digitally, so this survey seems a little silly to me.

@sanderson72 Indeed, I wanted a physical Avowed but it doesn't exist! I agree they're often cheaper, plus you can sell a game if you don't think you'll play it again and get something back for it.

@sanderson72 Every single game in my wishlist doesn't have disc based (standard) physical versions. I say standard just incase there is some limited run version for £80 on eBay lol.

I have yet to buy this game because I don't know if it's a game I'd want to keep (physically) after finishing it, and if I did sell it before all this new stuff becomes available I'd be pretty annoyed. So I will probably play the waiting game until it's about £30 new.

I only have Resident Evil 4 after all.. (I was gonna keep Village until I realised I love the castle section and the rest goes downhill or is too scary for me lol, the baby bit, you know if you know.)

I've already played most of these, but Warriors Abyss and Wild Hearts 4 is a win. I should play WH4 on the Ntsc version incase the PAL version is bugged like with Shadow Hearts From the new world.

@smoreon oh really, i probably only did a couple of levels! I assumed the game would always be a slog no matter what, will have to give it another chance. Thanks for the info.

@Quintumply I love games in this genre, but the old Scott Pilgrim game suffered from levels that went on for too long, and "bullet sponge" enemies that took too long to die. I don't have this issue with any other games in this genre, so.. is it better in this title?

@MrPeanutbutterz You weren't missing much, I played Test Drive for around half an hour before uninstalling it. Couldn't seem to drive the cars very well and I'm fine with other car racers!

@Rob3008 Indeed, so much of a remake is already reducing development time compared to a new title because you're basically working with a template, like copying someone's homework and making it better.

@Quick_Man Yeah but the two player mode in this game isn't the main campaign but some non specific horde challenge mode for 2 players. It's probably extremely light on content if it's an unlockable mode.

None of the poll answers you gave, as the co-op mode isn't the actual proper game which it sounded like it would be. The store page should have specified that the 2 player mode is a challenge mode seperate to the main game.

I got really lucky here, not played anything here before, although I have no interest in Rugby or Wall-E, but otherwise a great line up for me of games I was curious about but never bought. Except for Spidey 2, I didn't get on with the first game, didn't like the combat. But will give it a go anyway.

Nice, I haven't played any of these games, so I'll give them all a go except for the Rugby game.

If anyone wanted a physical copy, it's probably going to end up getting pretty rare real soon, no?

@graymamba I got the platinum on Creed VR boxing, meaning I beat every opponent on the hardest setting, and at the time something like 1% of people had achieved it.. and I have zero interest in playing a boxing (TV screen) game too.

I also don't need a demo but I think it was a demo of 3 where they had police blocking off an area and I tried to force my way through and poor Kazuma ended up glued to the spot! Oops.

I haven't played anything other than Village and Ridge Racer (but on PS1 forever ago) so although they're not titles I was that fussed about, I'll take it as a win to give all these games a chance.

I played Yakuza: Like a Dragon at the worse point of my entire life along with Cyberpunk 2077, and I can't play either without being taken back to that time, so it put me off playing Infinite Money with it's association, but I'll see what happens when I fire it up..

Skyrim Anniversary edition isn't on Plus for me, just the special edition? I have the highest tier.

Core Keeper feels like a game that should absolutely have local/splitscreen co-op but doesn't, sigh. Will still play it but feels wrong to play that in front my my missus lol.

I started playing Epic Mickey but was put off by the fact that you can't go back to levels to collect missed items, which is what I enjoy doing the most in a 3D platform game. You can start a new game plus to find them but screw that. It also had underwhelming "combat" that isn't fun at all. At least I didn't buy it for £18 last year, so there's that.

Blimey, I nearly bought Epic Mickey a few months ago and then decided to leave it for now, AND I nearly bought Core Keeper for £10 a month ago, so I wisely didn't pull the trigger twice!

Coincidentally, a Horizon looking game called Eros Zone: Sensual Dawn has appeared on the PlayStation store. The title itself sounds like "horizon zero dawn". Tell me it's a parody?!

@dark_knightmare2 Indeed, I was informed by some people that I had played a cut down version for years and then i finally got a pc and played it and it was just bigger areas with lots of empty space but less loading screens. I was pretty annoyed lol

Back in the PS2 days I was championing the games but nobody cared!

@yazzika Exactly this, I think it's why I didn't really get into Burnout Paradise and all the modern NFS games but on PS2 I loved Burnouts and NFS Hot Pursuit and the other linear race track arcade racer games.

I was interested in another Dangerous Driving title but the whole create your own tracks main draw of the game completely put me off it, so even in the black Friday deals, I didn't buy it.

@DreadfulDragon But inconsistently? Does Simpsons ever give a character an extra finger on one hand at any time? People took issue with the poster because it's different on each foot, not four toes on each foot.
