I played Broken Sword 2 first, and I don't know if that's why it's my favourite of the first two, but considering they had a successful Kickstarter for the first one it was only a matter of time, surely. Yay!

Oh yeah, I remember being winning my Broken Sword PS1 game from a magazine, official playstation magazine perhaps.

SS trial failed to engage me in its opening tutorial so I deleted it, but hey ho might as well give the full game a try I suppose.

NFS, I think I have played this remaster before with an EA Access sub, plus I played the original back in the day.

Stanley, I played the original version years ago, might as well see what's new about this version.

@Deljo I think you're confusing amateur production with a game purely made to make money with as little effort as possible. And that other person calling Ratalaika a shovelware company, they published Chasing Static and Guard Duty, two pretty good games. They do release a lot of cheapo indie titles but they're generally not the same level of crap as those actual shovelware companies.

I can imagine if I ever released another game on psn it will have very poor visibility due to all the supermarket simulators

Someone once called my own game Trails and Traces shovelware, like as if anyone would make a point and click adventure game as shovelware when it requires meticulous planning.

@TheTraditional I doubt I will even experience disc rot occurring to my discs in my lifetime, I have music CDs from the late 80s that are perfectly fine, but I have seen disc rot from discs bought second hand. I think they were just stored under poor conditions.

I think AI could actually be beneficial especially for indie devs, if it was used for smaller details such as generating textures, uv mapping, code, that kind of thing. As in indie dev myself I wouldn't want AI to make my game for me, I would derive no satisfaction from that.

But most likely ai will be largely only used by the big corporations to save money like others are saying.

I am eyeing up Tombi/Tomba, I think it is time to buy it!

@PuppetMaster oh there's a ton of them in the uk sale too, although if I tick price filter to not include games below £1 that removes a lot of them.

@TheStormGL I'm not even entirely sure which of the three you think is a AAA production game, but if you mean It Takes Two, I am pretty sure it's not a AAA production, and I have played it.

I don't believe any of them are AAA games, and certainly none of them had AAA price tags attached to them.

I've played all of these games bar infinite wealth and the Japanese only ones and never again, so 0/10 for me and I've played them since the very beginning on PS2. Not gonna feel bad for not remembering this useless information haha.

Also holding out for a physical copy, here's hoping!

I really enjoyed Syndicate, it's the only original style Creed I feel like playing through again, even if i did enjoy a bunch from before that. Must be the setting. I love the cRPGeed games though. Yeah that's probably not a word that will catch on.

I never got around to buying Dying light 2, I knew it was going to be a better game than the first one, but as I just couldn't get into the first one after trying it a second time years later, I was hesitant to buy 2. So yay me haha.

I liked Blood Omen 2 back in the day, but it was definitely a weaker Kain title, so I can't imagine it has held up well at all but still neat to take that trip down forgotten PS2 memory lane.

I've not played a Digimon game since PS1 days so will give it a go.

Overall a stronger month for me personally than the previous month.

@Dom_31 honestly, I don't think it's a good starting point, especially given it's a paintover of old an older game, it really shows in the game design. It's by no means a bad game, I just couldn't get into it and I LOVE feudal Japan themes AND Yakuza games..

I'd be interested in playing 7 out of 17 of these titles, so that's pretty good, it was about 4 titles last month that I played.

I didn't notice it but apologies if someone did mention this, but an untrackable statistic would be the number of physical games sold as second hand goods such as in cex. Given this is a statistic of how many people use their disc drives for games, I think it's an important thing to consider. Around 80% of the physical games I buy are pre-owned.

I agree about the other points people made about how digital sales are counted and how not everyone will solely buy one or the other. I buy loads of indie games digitally.

My second favourite Tales game, first being Vesperia and third being Xillia 1. A welcome remaster and appreciate the quality of life additions.

Ghostwire was a 6/10 for me too, didn't bother finishing it physically, not going to give it a second chance.

The death note game doesn't interest me in the slightest.

So that leaves Hot Wheels. I like arcade racers so I will give it a go, that's the only thing of any interest to me here, 1 is better than none right!

@CielloArc Gaiden is the only DD game I actually like! Me and my wife have played a lot of side scrolling beat em ups so we're cautiously interested in this new one.

I love the introduction of a map and all that, I wouldn't have the patience I had back then to get lost a lot.

I haven't seen anyone mention it but my god I forgot how awesome the music was in those games. It has it's own feel and vibe.

Me and my wife enjoyed A Way Out, but didn't really like It Takes Two. So I'm hoping the style of game is closer to the first one.

I took most of the tabs off, the controller icon and storage space is good so I kept them on, but as a single player person I turned off friends and stuff.

Funnily enough I picked up Dishonored 2 on PS4 in a charity shop last month for £1.50. played it before but sold it when it was still worth selling.

I've been playing Star Ocean Second Story R, followed a guide to fast level because back on PS1 it was too hard.. but now there's this easy mode I've made it a breeze lol, oh well I'm still having fun.

@MrRhysReviews I played the sequel but I think it felt a bit underwhelming, perhaps it was just more of the same with nothing new about it. I can't really remember!

I'm by no means a horror fan but I'm glad I played the first 2 silent hill games just to have experienced them. I wouldn't mind playing the remake but I can happily wait a long time, like 2 years down the line when it's cheap/on a subscription.

What I'd really like, is a remake of The Suffering.

I've been very tempted but wary of buying Pathologic 2. It intrigues me but I don't know if I'd struggle to play it or not. Perhaps with a third game on the way we might see the second game put in a playstation plus library nearer release?

It's amusing that some people felt Broken Sword Reforged's initial price was too much, but this game absolutely takes the biscuit with it's price being double the amount. Oof. I enjoyed completing the original but in all this time never feltinclined to go back to it, so this remake is a hard pass for me for that reason alone, regardless of future discounts.

With those saying a review score shouldn't reflect it's price because it will ultimately become cheaper, rendering the review score outdated - doesn't the same ring true for games that receive major updates or had huge bugs squashed? Star Wars Outlaws will probably require brand new reviews by next year, for instance.

PS - I just realised I'm usually seeing votes when it's been posted for a while longer, so who can be sure it won't change..

Usually for me the votes are far more negative than my own for Plus games, but I'm more negative than most here! To be fair, I've already played the Dead space remake, else I'd be saying it's a good month. Wwe games haven't interested me since the PS2 Yukes days and as for Doki, I can't stand visual novels.

@BowTiesAreCool The original magazine called Play was from a different publisher, I was surprised they used to same name tbh.

Doki Doki might be the first time ever I don't "add to library" for a monthly plus sub game. I just can't see myself even slightly enjoying it, looks like some visual novel game with little actual gameplay, which is fair enough if anyone enjoys those, just not for me, i like actual gameplay in my games lol 😛

I would imagine the other player/s only control a character during battle and just watch player one roam around the levels? If so, my partner would pass on that, and I would be the same. Cool for those who don't mind not doing anything and watching though.

@Major_Player Yeah, I am pretty sure they did the same thing for the Wii Fit. At the time of its release, I ran a videogame shop and I was so tired of repeatedly answering the same questions to every other customer that we don't have any in stock and we don't know when we'll have more stock, that I wrote it down on card and cellotaped it to the counter.

I forgot this game existed, and I owned it for a while. So that's the impact it had on me. Always pleased to see games stuck on PS3 generation get ported over though.

@AstraeaV Fair point about Defiance but Blood Omen would require a different kind of graphical upgrade, and maybe the development team aren't good 2D artists, or it requires a lot more work.

While I'd prefer remakes, remasters are better than nothing, at least I can play these games easily again with some spruced up visuals. One good thing about a remaster is that a remake would likely have new actors voice the lines, and I can't imagine it without Michael Bell, Simon Templeman and Tony Jay.

@DrVenture69 Same, although I have stopped trying to collect everything on the maps and go through the story now, I'd like to move on to another game soon! As great as Rebirth is.

@sanderev Given that I don't think Revolution have done DLC for any game in their entire existence, I wouldn't hold your breath.

That it's not turn based is even better! I don't mind turn based combat but in a Like a Dragon game I want the hands on approach!

@Ward_ting I wish Curse of monkey island would get the same treatment as Broken Sword! Shame Revolution can't buy that ip and source code etc and give it the same treatment!

If you want to experience the original work of art as intended, don't play this version, it's messing with the original art by making it look nicer. Like really? The voice actor is different too, more "censorship" oh no!

If i was to remake Only Fools and Horses, the old TV show, I would remove all the racist words used in the earlier seasons. Times move on, so should we.

This review is pretty much exactly what I expect I'll feel about it, so that's good.

@playstation1995 if i finish a game on the subscription and there's a physical version and I think I'd like to replay that game again, there's a high chance I'll buy the physical game at some point. Even that new game the Plucky Squire, if I absolutely love it then I'll buy the game.

I shall be downloading them again then!
